Lovely stay near the Vatican

Our host was at the property to welcome us and to get us settled in. The apartment is great, especially the terrace balcony which has a perfect view over the Vatican. It is spacious with all facilities provided. The apartment is close to attractions and transport links. I can recommend this stay to anyone coming to Rome.

Traumhafte Sicht - schöne Wohnung ... mit Abstrichen

Eines vorweg : wir waren insgesamt 32 Tage in der gebuchten Wohnung, die von der Lage her einfach traumhaft ist. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und die Betreuung durch Gui war tadellos. Leider ist die Wohnung in keinem guten Pflegezustand. Ingesamt fehlt der Wohnung eine "liebende Hand" für 1 - 2 Wochen, dann wäre sie bestimmt wieder das "Sahnestückchen", das sie einmal war. Aber ... lasst euch bitte nicht von der nachfolgenden Mängelaufzählung abschrecken - vielleicht sind wir auch nur zu kritisch - fällt selbst ein Urteil : denn - wie schon erwähnt - die Lage und die Sicht von der Dachterrasse sind einfach unbeschreiblich schön. ------ Im Bad blättert die Tapete ab (die größten herunter hängenden "Fetzen" haben wir angeklebt), die Dusche ist für "barocke" Formen definitiv nicht geeignet, die Dachterrasse, die ja das "higlight" der Wohnung ist, ist ungepflegt, schmutzig - es stehen Blumenkübel mit vertrockneten und auch nicht wiederbelebbaren Pflanzen herum, die Möbelierung ist sehr unbequem und teilweise defekt. Der Fensterkitt bröckelt heraus, die Farbe an Türen und Fenstern blättert ab, so dass das rohe Holz sichtbar ist. Die Tür im Küchenunterschrank wurde sehr schief eingebaut; der Umleimer am Oberschrank hängt herunter. Fehlende Stuhlkissen haben wir nachgekauft, ebenso Geschirrtücher, Kaffeebecher, Trinkgläser und auch eine Teekanne (nicht unbedingt erforderlich, aber nett zu haben). Vielleicht freuen sich ja die Nachnutzer darüber.

Schöner Ausblick

Die Wohnung befindet sich im obersten Geschoss eines schönen alten Hauses und lässt sich mit einem charmanten Aufzug erreichen. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist wundervoll!! Auch die Umgebung ist sehr schön. Viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, eine große Markthalle gleich um die Ecke und viele Restaurants und Cafés. Ins Stadtzentrum fährt man mit Bus oder Bahn ca 20 bis 30 Minuten. Leider lassen Ausstattung, Zustand und Komfort der Wohnung einiges an Wünschen offen. Im Badezimmer lösen sich die Tapeten von den Wänden und die Dusche ist so klein, dass man sich kaum drehen kann. Auch die Matratze ist sehr kurz. Außerdem hätte ich mir ein oder zwei bequeme Möbel für die wunderbare Terrasse gewünscht.
