LOFT IN VILLA OLIVELLA

the loft is a portion of the villa where we live but with an independent entrance. We are close to the Appia Antica park, the most beautiful and evocative road in the world and a few kilometers from the center of Rome (7 kilometers from the Colosseum / Capitol) easily accessible by bus and / or subway. We are surrounded by tall trees and cheered by the chirping of birds and parrots, far from the hustle and bustle of the city although close to the center. Very close to the Ciampino airport and 30 minutes from the main airport of Fiumicino.
The villa is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. The bathroom offers hair dryers and bidets. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a sofa bed.

Sara and her husband are lovely hosts. Their appartement is spacious and confortable; it is well provided with a small kitchen and complete bathroom, internet and everything newly redone--the bed is heavenly! not the usual tourist fare. Actually their whole apartment is the opposite of the usual soul-less Ikea rental. The neighbourhood is out of the center and quiet, a good 30 mins from city center by bus (which can be tricky, if you don't have a Transit app...). The lovely photographs of wide open green lands are from local walking paths. An ideal stay for people traveling by car.

Pretty good experience.

Charming (private) one room (studio type room) at the residence of a local couple. We only speak English. The gentleman spoke enough English that we were able to communicate. Their multi-linguistic daughter stayed in contact with us via email and promptly answered any questions that arose. It was really quite charming. It looked like it may have even been recently redone. My only real disappointment was the shower head (it actually seemed a little too big for the smaller shower). Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The hospitality of the owners and their daughter was superb.
