Unacceptable

There was no one available to check us in when we arrived from FCO we called to advise the hotel that we would not be able to check in until after 8 o’clock so they gave us a code and a key and put us in a basement I had originally had my own queen size bedroom and paid $550. I ended up sharing a room with my friend. He slept on a cot and I slept on a double bed. It was very uncomfortable and unpleasant and I’m going to ask Hotels.com for a refund for this trip, the following day after arrival, they still would not even move us to our own room which we had booked
