We stayed for 2 nights. We were initially met with a man who appeared really disappointed that we had arrived an disturbed his day, however he grunted at a colleague who was extremely friendly and allowed us to drop our bags in the room before it was ready. The bed was comfy and the room is pretty basic, shower with no bath. The rooms are warm and cosy. Despite the comfy bed it’s impossible to sleep well due to the noise. The bin men at whatever time in the morning, people drilling, moving around, the neighbouring businesses etc. I’m quite a deep sleeper but it sounded like they were basically in the room. The location was good, we walked to everywhere from the hotel but the metro wasn’t too far away. I’d say it’s more like a private hostel room than an actual hotel in terms of the service and the building etc. If you’re just looking for somewhere to get your head down it’s not terrible, I don’t think I’d have enjoyed much more than 2 nights.
We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary trip, at first I was a little apprehensive as the hotel itself is located behind massive doors that isn't really sign posted..then through a courtyard which is where the back doors of the restaurants on that street then up some dark cold stairway..once we got into the room I was quite impressed, very simple and clean but what more can you expect for a cheaper hotel so close to the main town. The main issue we had was the thinness of the walls, the people next door had a dog in their room that made less noise than the people on our floor, first it was the door slamming, the loud talking and the hair dryer going off at all hours. Then at gone 1 in the morning I had to go and bang on the door down the end of the corridor and tell them to shut up, anyone would have thought they were in the room with you it was that loud, it seems that the reception isn't manned 24 hours so I had to tell them to be quiet myself which isn't ideal really.. There is a main door to each floor and our main door was so stiff you had to put your whole body weight on it to open it which would not be a good thing if there was a fire or you was I a rush to get out. Apart from that it's in an ideal place close to everything you go to Rome to see, just make sure you bring your ear plugs to block out the shouting and banging of the others in the hotel!!
Not your Grand Hyatt, pretty basic, Air con not efficient, Breakfast not provided. But WHO CARES your in ROME! Good location for walking to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon etc. ,there are shops and cafes everywhere. The metro is a 10 minute walk. The Viator 'Rome in a Day' tour was excellent, especially for the Vatican and St Pauls Cathedral with head phones listening to the well-informed Guide and jumping the long queues.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Couldn’t recommended it enough. The hotel is within walking distance to ALL main attractions in Rome (just bring comfy walking shoes)! The hotel room itself is clean, comfy and spacious. On arrival to the hotel the mini fridge within your room had supplies of cans of drinks which was stocked again once we had drank them! Hair dryer provided. Small samples of shampoo etc in bathroom. Taxi from airport to hotel €30 and from hotel to airport £35.
I have got a recommendation about Seven Kings Relais from one of my friend who ware being there before. I can really reccomnd this hotel, which is very decent and friendly staff, specially Mr, Mangiu is very helpful and very informative about the Rome city, and his guide was save my time and money. This place very close to Rome terminal and other key destinations. Foods, metro and buses are closed by.
Stayed in room 101 for two nights. It was booked by our travel agent, which was a mistake on our part, as we could have paid much less if we had booked it ourselves. The shower was not clean, clean, the shower rose was falling apart with water spouting in all directions and the rail was no longer adjustable, but sagged to its lowest point. The bed was hard, the pillows thin and uncomfortable. There was constant noise of furniture being dragged on the tiled floor above, from early morning till late at night. No tea or coffee making facilities. The air conditioning, although noisy, worked well. The location is convenient to a supermarket and numerous eateries. There was no mobile phone signal on either of our phones. Wifi was ok though.
We would never have found this hotel without a taxi dropping us off, it doesn't look like a hotel from outside and the sign is very small. The set up inside is also not as I expected but the room was very nice, very clean, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom a good size. Small gripes such as only 2 hangers for clothes for two people staking for 3 days but we just lived out the case. Unfortunately the staff were not very friendly and the interaction we had was as if they were doing us a favour letting us stay here. Location wise it is close to everything. We did however get taxis on a couple of occasion as we wanted to get to places sooner rather than later, the Vatican museum for example. You can walk to anywhere. Longest for us was the Colosseum which even then only took 30 mins. Don't stay in bed, get up and out early. Most sites are open from 8, churches from 7, its cooler and quiet going early. Would come back to Rome but would try another hotel. I assumed this would be what I am used to when I say hotel, it was more like a room / apartment in a block.
We stayed for 2 nights in the Seven Kings Relais. The hotel is located in the center of Rome (near Termini) and there are several bus stops in front of the hotel. The room was clean and spacious but walls between them are thin so expect to hear noises from adjacent rooms Also it is equipped with a safe box.. During our stay we experienced a problem with a leakage from the air condition but the very helpful guy at the reception fixed it during our absence. We had no breakfast in the hotel but there is a wonderful Sicilian cafe nearby that opens early and serves wonderful coffee and sweets. Also adjacent to the hotel front door there is a mini market and a small shop with sandwiches.
The hotel was great, lovely and clean, maid in every day very convenient for all sight seeing. The walls are very thin but it never caused us a problem. We arrived an hour late at 11pm due to a flight delay and the guy in reception was extremely helpful even carried our cases. We will return to this hotel if we visit Rome again. There's a little gem of a bar out of the courtyard doors and round to the left.
Nice location, not too far from the main interesting locations in the city. Rooms are o.k. But the shower could use a fresh up. People are very friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant, so for any kind of meal you have to go outside, which was pretty o.k., because there are a few restaurants nearby that also serve breakfast.
