Very nice residenza, ecxellent location, clean, nice staff atention. Only the residenza don't have a nice entrance and cozy lobby but the rest is excellente. I recomende a lot.
For those who do not need the lobby, restaurant, many people commotion, it's good hotel and good location. However, the front of the good room in which we stayed is on the street side and the noise isolation is lacking.
This is a great location for anyone planning to use public transit (bus and train) to get around. Many bus routes stop at Barberinni Metro station, just steps away. If you stay here, get a bus map from a news stand and you will always be close to a ride home for 1.5 Euro. We had some trouble finding the hotel; it's just one floor in an unmarked building, a little discouraging from the outside. Once inside, the room was small, but very clean, quiet, with high ceilings and the AC worked well. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They did try to steer us in some wrong directions (toward a silly and expensive on-off bus pass, to a restaurant that was a bit of a hike, recommended a private car to the airport when a much cheaper line of taxis sits 20 yards away). There are many many restaurants near by, but it's pretty tough to know which are any good (This was my biggest challenge in Rome in general) . My recommendation near the hotel would be Ristorante La Fontanella at the corner of the Piazza and Sistani. Other than that, its a jungle out there man.
Small hotel, with very clean and comfortable rooms, in a convenient location. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location near Borghese. Well-priced.
Over all I think this hotel should be 1 star, it is in small little building, this building office building sharing the same floor with other tents, It is not easy to find this hotel, the rooms is very small, the staff very friendly, being have friendly staff does not make it 4 stars.
This is my 4th visit to Rome. The photos of the room were accurate. The location is great with metro 1 block away. Easy walk to Trevi fountain. Internet worked, breakfast brought to our room. Be prepared the showers are small and tight at most hotels. If you have any problems ask fro Frank one of the owners so he may be aware. Some staff are more knowledgeable and helpful in nature than others. You can see their other property also that is also great.
Domiziano Residenza hotel is literally a minute away from Barberini metro stop. It's centrally located and several major attractions are within easy walking distance. It does not have a big visible street sign, but if you review online maps prior to the trip, it easy to locate. It's a small hotel with less than 20 rooms, spread over two floors. Rooms are small, but clean. Our room for four felt very tight with barely any room for the luggage. The bath tub came without a shower curtain, so it's easy to wet the entire bathroom floor. The tub was slow to drain. The room AC could be little stronger. It was adequate for us since the daily high was in mid 80 degrees. However, on a hot day, it may not keep up. None of these were significant issues for us since we hardly spent any time in the room. The morning breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, milk, juices and bread rolls. It needs to be pre-ordered the previous night and it's always delivered on time. They do provide optional items (for additional charge# such as eggs, but we did not order them. The hotel staff #Vicky and Sen) provided exceptional personal service. They are knowledgeable about the area and took time to answer our questions. Our group had booked two rooms and the staff made sure our rooms were on the same floor, right next to each other. In fact, they let us check-in at 11 am. We appreciated that greatly especially after a long overnight flight. Even though breakfast is normally served between 7 and 10 am, Sen went out of his way to bring in the breakfast at 5:30 am to help us with our early morning travel schedule. They also helped us with dinner reservations. Vicky even provided us an adapter for charging our laptops. In short, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and definitely recommend it.
When my wife and I arrived at the door of the hotel, we were a little scary, since the street was empty and the entry does not appear to be in a hotel. The staff is very good. The room is very clean. The hotel is not elegant. The location is good. The building and the elevator is old. There is no restaurant, breakfast is not type buffet. If your budget is low the hottel good option.
This is not a hotel and frankly should not be on the website at all. Nor does it deserve a 4 star rating. At best it is 2.5 stars and is comparable to you staying at a 2 star motel. We landed late in Rome and could not find this "hotel" because there are no lit signs outside the building indicating this was a hotel. The street that this facility is on is also not labeled so it is a challenge to find. If you do manage to find the "hotel," you enter this rather old, unmaintained unlit building that could use some major renovation. There are apartments all around the yard. The elevator does not work so you need to take the steps through the dark to the 2nd floor and ask the "reception" to buzz you in. The room was clean but internet did not work; the breakfast was less than average; and the area is fairly noisy. Further, if there are people smoking in the backyard, you can smell it all through your room. Do not recommend staying here unless you are looking for a super-cheap motel. And I would not pay more than 50 Euros a night instead of the 200-250/night that they charged us.
Staff was amazing and hotel is within walking distance to all major attractions. The subway and bus stops are within a block from the hotel.hotel has private baths and very clean. Continental breakfast is delivered to your door every morning.
The desk person, Viki (?), when we checked in was excellent - helped confirm our tour for the next day by calling the tour office himself. He set up our wifi access and when it didn't work, he provided a cable. He gave us a map with directions on how to get to a certain place. He made sure to note that our breakfast the next day was served earlier than usual because of our early tour. The person on the next shift wasn't quite as helpful. We said we still had problems with the wifi, but he was dismissive. He said the wifi works with the others so the problem was our laptop. And that was that. The old style elevator was tricky but it wasn't too bad. The shower drained very slowly. You had to keep the shower at medium output or else you'd be standing in a puddle very quickly. Overall, the best thing about this hotel is its central location. We walked to three beautiful churches, Piazza Navona, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and everything in between.
First the good stuff: We had a nice pleasant stay at the Domiziano Residenza Rome. The establishment was clean and well-kept. The staff were friendly and willing to help out with whatever we needed. The location is desirable. The overall value for the money is good. The rest: Let's be honest about what this is and is not though. This is NOT a hotel!!! It's much more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. If you're looking for a good room at a good price, then this might just do the trick. If you're in need of any ammenities that you might find with a hotel, then this is not the place. We spent our 4 days touring all the sites of Rome. From a location standpoint, this worked out pretty well. There is a metro right on the corner, and it's on the Main A line...one stop away from Termini (ther main terminal.) So, you can hit any of the other stops with relative ease.
At first glance of the room, I was really appalled. I reserved for a single room for one person for my 3 day layover in Rome and that's what I got. A tiny room about 8 by 10 with 2 twin beds, a private bath,a small flat screen tv on the cabinet that had the small fridge, a tall wardrobe closet, and an airconditioner. The quality of the service and the friendly staff compensated for the small size of the room. The morning receptionist Viky made sure I had all the directions, tips and whatever I needed . San Tomas in the evening made sure my breakfast form was filled .They went out of their way to make my stay in this awesome city as comfortable and memorable, The Fountain of Trevi was walking distance downhill and about half a block to the metro and bus stops. The bank was down the street. The continental breakfast is delivered to your room at the time you specify and if you want more, for 3 euros, you can order an additional entree. The only problem is you have to place the food tray on your lap as there is no chair or table around.
For our first time in Rome finding the right hotel was a long drawn out experience. There are so many hotels in Rome from which to choose from. We chose this hotel based on previous reviews and location, and we are certainly happy about our choice. A real find in terms of budget accommodation in the heart of Rome and I would recommend it wholeheartedly. We stayed for seven days. The hotel is located in good Location, half a block from Piazza Barberini and a few minutes walk to the Spanish steps and the Trevi Fountain. very easy walking distance to many of the sights in Rome. The hotel arranged for a private car at a very reasonable rate to transport us from and back to the airport. It was much more convenient rather than trusting taxi to get you to your exact location. The driver was waiting for us right outside of baggage claim. Staying at the Residenza Domiziano was more like staying with good friends than in a nondescript or chain hotel. The flat screen television had only 1 channel in English (BBC News) but we were not there to watch TV. The single room was large, spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, although we didn't spend much time in it anyway. We were up every morning at 6AM with breakfast at 7 and out the door till usually around 11PM. Breakfast was simple but good, rolls, cappuccino and croissant, it was perfect to start the day. Brought to our room every morning right at the requested time. The Bathroom was small but adequate. The Shower did not have a lot of room but the water was always hot with good pressure. My wife loved the heated towel rack. The thing that makes this place most special is the staff that was so very nice to us and took care of our every need was very patient with us and with all the questions and requests that we had. Vicky, who speaks perfect English, was very helpful in suggesting routes to get to the most important places to see. with a lot of great tips. and calling to reconfirm our tours and also printing out our boarding passes on our last day in Rome. If you don't require full hotel service with lounges/bars on site and If you want a comfortable, clean, centrally located hotel run by friendly helpful people you should stay here. – Residenza Domiziano provides a very good price and very good quality.
My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights, and had a wonderful time. There were 4 of us in the room, and there was plenty of space for us and our stuff. The bathroom was also spacious, and the breakfast they delivered to our room each morning was fantastic! The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful, and they went out of their way to give us safety tips and to help us find our way around. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!
Conveniently located a short distance to the airport and the beds are very comfortable!
it was difficult ti find the Residence since it is located on the second floor with a small sign announcing its location. The staff was wonderful, friendly and very helpful, could not say enough about them. The rooms were a good size but the beds not very comfortable....sore back each morning. For the price of the hotel in a big city that your not interested in spending much time in, its a good value for your money. Also, conveniently located near metro and bus stops.
Our arrival was early however the staff greeted us, made reservations at a nearby restaurant for lunch and advised us that because our room was not ready, they would place our bags in our room. To our surprise(and maybe because of all our luggage) we were upgraded to small apartment style suite off an enclosed terrace with a private entrance. Hotel is located just steps from Barberini plaza, designer shops, wonderful restaurants, tour bus and metro stops. Central location provides walking distance to many of the ancient sites, Trevi fountain, and Spanish steps included. The Staff, from the desk concierge to the chamber maid were, friendly, courteous and willing to help at every opportunity, This is the place to stay if you are looking for an amazing Rome experince. For those who are looking for the negative on this hotel, well maybe it would be no kleenex.... but that is an american gesture and we were there to experience European culture.
Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed there 2 days prior to our 14 day cruise and returned for 2 days after the cruise since it was very clean and comfortable. Bedroom and bathroom were a nice size. Continental breakfast brought to your room in the morning was a plus. Not far from the Rome Termini station. Walking distance to the Trevi Fountain. Also walked to the Spanish steps. City tour bus pick up area is very close and train station is very close. Great location. Nice restaurants very close. Great price!
We spent a week in Rome to see the Vatican and the Roman landmarks. The hotel is kind of hidden and you can easily miss it if you have never seen it before. I would recommend this bed and breakfast hidden gem to anyone who visits Rome. I really enjoyed their in-room breakfast service. From the moment of arrival the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The TV was ok, but we were outside more than in the hotel so we did not take full advantage of how many channels were available. Our room had 4 single beds, 2 of which were attached to make 1 double bed. Internet was included. One thing I liked especially was the towel warmer in the bathroom. It was really cozy, but for the price it still felt like we were getting a luxury experience for our vacation.
