The hotel is clean and pretty modern. The reception girl was friendly and very helpful. She carried our luggage up and down on very steep staircases. We appreciate her kindness! But we shouldn't book this hotel at all. I mean there was no warning that one has to climb a pretty high mountain to get to the hotel. Besides, our room was on the upper floor and the hotel has no elevator. Instead it has a very steep staircase inside and very high and steep steps outside to reach rooms on the 2nd floor. And there was no luggage room on the 1st floor where we could leave our suitcases. Both my husband and I are over 75, so we would never book such a hotel.
The hotel price was great. The location was a bit far from both Vatican City and even further from Rome, but we managed by walking or using public transport. The air condition in the room did not work at all and it was very hot at night. The room was good size. It wasn't the cleanest, there was an empty water bottle under the bed from the previous tenants and we stayed for 2 nights and the water bottle never was removed even after housekeeping came on the 2nd day. The price was great and the room size was good. The walls were very thing so we could hear the neighbors next door.

Good evening, I always advise customers to read the requirements of the Structures. All information is very clear: We are on the Vatican Clivo, and our Relais has no elevators. Best regards
