Quality Hotel Nova Domus4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed here for two nights, one as part of a Top Deck tour and the second night prior to departing Rome and we didn't have a single hot shower while we were here! Honestly, for what we paid for our extra night after the tour finished, it's ridiculous. We (and several others in the 40+ tour party) were told on multiple occasions that it was fixed only to find stone cold water still dribbling out of our shower. A lucky few managed a barely passable "warm" shower, but we weren't that lucky. I didn't hear a single person on the tour report that they had a hot edgiest while we were here! Maintenence came up to our room, still nothing. No compensation was offered, the room was already paid for in advance and I can guarantee you, I will never stay here again. The location is reasonable. Short walk to the metro and the Vatican, and this review would probably be 4 stars if it wasn't for the hot water thing, but when you're travelling around Europe - a hot shower is a necessity!!
Honestly isnt the best quality hotel but the room was pretty standard, its close to the vatican and the metro, the staff however were very friendly to us throughout the whole stay, was nothing bad to say about the breakfast either. Its cheap but your paying for what you get, the air con was working fine and we had a fridge in the room, the rooms arent soundproof but the halls aren't generally busy. The room was pretty clean and couldnt fault it really
Not a bad hotel, clean and tidy with average amount of room for Europe, getting quite old. Bathroom clean and full size shower with good pressure. Fridge, TV, Wifi, air con. Beds are rock hard, I didn't mind as I was topped up with decent Italian red wine! The staff were friendly, although the lady at the front desk recommended 3 laundromat options all within 1km of the hotel that were either shut down or not open (Monday) wasted 2 hours looking. If you are in need, there is one if you take a left as soon as you exit the hotel, I mean immediately left and follow that bend in the road, continue along the road and it's about 5min walk on the right hand side, small blue hole in the wall shop 13€ for a big load. (review written September 2017) Breakfast was average at best, coffee machine punched out a bitter burnt drink. Bar was not open at all Sunday or Monday even though there were signs everywhere advertising it. A positive is the location is 15min walk to the Vatican Museum and Basilica, or 15 min to the train station (underground/ Subway/ Tube) to get to the other attractions like Trevi, Pantheon, Colosseum, Forums etc.
Stayed here with my friend for a city break for 4 days , the hotel was lovely and very clean, only downside was downstairs for dinner you didnt get much of a choice for food was expecting to get some pizza , it is Italy after all. You did not get a good choice of drinks either as you could only get wine ,beer or a cocktail they russeled up themselves from wine and irn bru was expecting much better from a 4 star hotel.
9 of us stayed here in 3 rooms for a week. Lovely rooms clean and tidy, loved the little touches from the housekeeper like folding my sons pyjamas. the breakfast was delicious with a variety of fresh fruit, doughnuts, yogurt, ham, cheese and more. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the lady and gentleman, that helped us on Tuesday 22nd august in the evening.( don't know their names though) our son fell of the bed and cut his head open. They arranged a taxi to take us to the hospital. Made sure we had a card with the address on so we could get back to the hotel afterwards.
Stayed in recently with a tour group. Only worth 2 stars. Rooms in need of a renovation! Breakfast was ok. Staff were not helpful. Wifi wouldn't work properly, only worked half the time and only one could use it at a time.
For our first visit to Rome, we stayed at this hotel and our experience is very catastrophic. First of all, after the checking we discovered our room, which was completely different from the one we booked, it was very tight with no wardrobe at all, and a very dirty shower. We insisted to change this room explaining it wasn't what we booked and we finally got another one corresponding approximately to the one we booked. -One key provided for both of us, -the breakfast is the worth I never had ( very limited choice of food, very bad quality, chemical juices...), -the everyday cleaning is just disgusting -the hotel is located near a small church so you can't sleep more than 10am as it starts ringing very loudly -in a very hot city, the hotel doesn't even provide a bottle of water, and the fridge of the mini bar is simply empty !! -... The list is too long ! Anyway, DO NOT MAKE YOUR RESERVATION, or for sure you'll have a very bad experience One or two stars for this hotel is too much !!
Stayed here with our topdeck tour so not sure on the price. Good location close to vatican, train station and restaurants. Room is average, clean but dated. Very rude staff. Don't bother asking them for anything. They simply don't care!
Close to St. Peters, metro station. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, nearby. Also plenty of buses. Hotel was next to a small church, the church bell was right next to our room! Didn't bother us though. Breakfast was adequate.
Reviews are very mixed about this hotel. Not sure what some people expect. Hotel room was cleaned every day. Staff very good. Breakfast ok. Lifts very small(1wheelchair). For a short holiday (7 days) ideal. Would go back.
