We visited this hotel during trip through Italy by "Join up" Puzzle de Italia. We were badly impressed by level of service. Breakfast that we got is not a breakfast for 4**** Hotel! Very poor! Often the dishes were empty and no one of the personnel was nearby. We had to look for personnel to ask them for some food, spoons, sugar etc. Moreover the Hotel has not very convenient location. Yes, there is a bus stop near the hotel - but!!! the interval between buses is about 20-30 minutes. Then you have to change bus for tram and go 15 minutes more. It was very very inconvenient! Rooms were quite clean and neat. But it does not matter when you have to spend about 1 h to get to the center and have nothing to eat during breakfast.
If you're looking for a hotel in a central location, not for you. If you're looking to for a quiet and relaxing place after a day hanging around Rome, this is certainly for you! The hotel is located on a hill in a district with big properties and large gardens. The hotel is on the back of a religious building, so not polluted by the street noice. You hear cigales and birds.
The location is a bit far from the city but in a quiet safe beautiful neighborhood. They had a safe, refrigerator and air conditioning.A nice outdoor patio on the third floor to relax or take a cigarette. The breakfast area was nice and the food tasty.
I visited this hotel with a friend. We arrived at Fiumicino airport and got a white taxi to the hotel which cost €55. On the way back, we got the bus and the train that cost €10 and took 90 mins. Pros: - There is WiFi available in the hotel with very good connection - staff were friendly and helpful - The breakfast selection was good although there wasn’t much fruit or a vegetarian option - the cleanliness of the room and hotel was very good - balcony with a nice view Cons: - rooms are relatively small. We got a twin room and it seems as though it was just two single beds put together. - the hotel is about an hour away from the city centre on public transport. The buses are also very irregular. - the hotel does not do any excursions - air conditioning was hard to control so the room would be very hot at nighttime Advice: - download city mapper to help you get around the city - do not get in a minicab from the airport as they would try and charge you €135. Get the white taxi’s which is outside the airport
I had some work to do in that part of Rome, when I searched for hotels,I found villa Maria Regina exactly in front ,I must say really cool beautiful Place, dinner with fresh fish and some famous vegetable dishes of Rome. And affcourse ,because of hill area, beautiful view around and all green.
We Finns like sauna, but with hotels we like fresh, clean and cool. This hotel was not that. It was unpleasently hot inside. Luckily windows in hotel room were openable. Why in 4 star hotel airconditioning is missing? Shower was terrible and smelled (water damage?). Hotel is old and needs to be brought to this decade. In addition, breakfast was poor.
I booked 2 rooms in the hotel for a 4-night stay. First, the good side: Quite neighborhood, secure surroundings, nice and full breakfast and clean rooms, staff was helpful and accommodating. Now, the negative side: Weak wifi, no coffee maker/hot water and tea in the room. I had to order one from the bar and was charged 3 euros. The bathroom did not have the basic caddies where you could place the shower bottles and soap bars while taking a shower. Considering that this is rated as a 4-star hotel, I was expecting that it would provide its guests with basic amenities that are normally being provided by hotels of this stature. In Japan, even a 3-star hotel provides its guests with basic toiletries like disposable shaves, toothbrush and even bathroom slippers. I can't understand why this hotel does not provide even just an electric kettle in the room for coffee and tea drinkers. Too much scrimping on the budget. Worse, there was no airconditioning and it was humid during the night. Overall, however, it's a good hotel but should be rated just as a 3-star and not 4-star hotel.
For first trip to Rome we picked this hotel and did not regret it, very nice hotel in quiet part of the city. To visit the center you need to take taxi or bus/tram, but it was very easy to do it, especially if you had pass for public transportation which is frequent and quite good, usual time to get there was about 20 minutes. Upon arrival we were upgraded to junior suite which was modern, clean and very comfortable, so our trip started perfectly, great value for money. Although we did not spent much time in hotel, the staff was friendly, breakfast was very good and overall I would come back and recommend the hotel.
We stayed here for a two nights on a Euro tour. The rooms are clean and tidy, have air con and good wifi reception. The only downside is that the location is far away from everything. The bar has limited food - only sandwiches and cold cuts and when we asked no one could give us suggestions for food that was close by which was frustrating because most shops are closed on a Sunday. Even the service station and supermarket closed after 12pm on Sunday which is great for the locals but gives limited options for tourists.
Attended as part of a tour group, our rooms & keys were ready upon arrival. I had taken a fall earlier during the day & the tour director was concerned about the suitability of my room, the hotel gave her passes to several other rooms, a handicap room was selected. The room was clean; the bed was clean & comfortable. The ensuite was large & clean. The room was quiet & the air conditioning functional. The Wi-Fi was free & strong. The staff were friendly & helpful. They have a restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating; they had a good choice on the menu & was a good experience. I would certainly stay here again.
