I am going to start by saying that the staff here were very helpful. I had left my flight tickets at the hotel - they actually called me to let me know and scanned and emailed me all my documents. It was very nice of them to do that. Location: pretty good. It was walking distance from all the main attractions and very close to the train station. Cleanliness: not clean. My bed sheets had stains, the bathroom smelled like urine. I actually took a shower with my flip flops, afraid to catch something. I felt like I was in a dusty, old room. I was very disappointed, I did feel as if the pictures on trip advisor were deceiving. The room: we were two couples and the room with a pull out bed and double bed, was very tight. A tiny little room, not meant for 4 people. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. Luckily there was A/C. The room was found on the floor above reception. This should not be considered a hotel - it is more like a bed and breakfast. I would not go back to this hotel and I do not recommend this hotel.
Nice room, great, I mean GREAT location, right next to the main bus/train temini. Lovely staff, very helpful, bed a little non-wide, had to push them together to stop the feeling of falling off edge. :)
Ideal location for sight seeing, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are located on the second floor with continental breakfast on the fourth floor. Very close to the Metro, Taxi Rank and Hop on Hop off Bus station so getting around isn't a problem. Really good Irish Bar just around the corner 'The Flann'. Room is quite small with an annoying step to the small shower room. The room was cleaned every day with towels provided. Ideal for a short break if you don't want to spend time in the hotel. Good value for your money.
We had stayed here for 3 nights during the New Year. The reception located on the 2nd floor with a small lobby. Our room located on the same level with the reception. The room was very small and bad smell. I'm not sure what housekeeping sprayed into the room. There was no any blanket provided in our room. The hotel used bed cover as a blanket. Not enough for cold weather in the winter and the bed cover full of dust. This place is far away from being a real hotel. In my country call this "Guest House". I won't come back again.
Le Petit is ideally situated for those who like to stroll around and find their own way to the main tourist sites. Any further out and it would have been a case of checking out the taxis or the metro. The local area has plenty of hotels, coffee bars, shopping and gelato bars !!. Our room had a balcony overlooking the street, small which is what I would expect in a building of this age, but this fitted with the atmosphere of a weekend in Rome. With the continental breakfast this hotel proved to be a great package ..
This is a quirky hotel, although I would say it is more like apartments than a hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us a map and highlighting key areas to visit. The room were cleaned daily , including clean bedding everyday. Rooms are small, but not an issue if you are just needing a place to sleep in between sightseeing. Breakfast was quite simple, but plenty of it. All in all a nice place.
Hotel is in great location and really handy for the train station and the main tourist sites. We enjoyed walking so a 20 min walk was no hardship. I accept you do not book a hotel room to spend all your time there but you at least want to be able to look forward to coming back to a cosy room to chill and relax. Unfortunately this was not the case here, in fact we tried to spend as much time out of our room as it was the smallest and dullest room I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Beds were really uncomfortable and a good nights sleep was difficult. We had a window, well a hatch which meant the room had no natural light. The bathroom was tiny and having a shower was a challenge. Breakfast was fine if you wanted pastry and bread. We did not see a toaster so actually skipped it for the last two days we were there. Plenty of places locally for coffee and much nicer food. Never had any issues with wifi as other had and staff were fine and welcoming. Would I go back - no. I do think with a bit of work a better deal could be found elsewhere in this area as lots of hotels around. Rome was fantastic, Hotel Le Petit did not quite make the grade.
Great location. Less than 5 mins from Roma Termini train station and Hop on Hop off bus stop. Very friendly and helpful staff. They offered to store our luggage for 3 nights while we went to Florence by train, even if we were not checking in at their hotel when back in Rome. We were extremely touched by this attention. They even called a taxi to take us to the other hotel. The room was ok and clean, breakfast was nice, shower cabin quite small but in good condition and we had wifi connection at all times. Thanks to the whole team!
stayed at le petit for 3 nights. had booked this place looking at the pictured on hotel website. the room was not as it is shown in the pics. The rooms were very small just enough space for a double bed. The bathroom too was too tiny with a small shower cubicle. one cant even stretch hands to have a decent shower in that bathroom.
The room is unbelievably old, full of dust, shower is minuscule, stains all over the roof and wall, very unhelpful staff, in a district that is 40 min walk from any of Rome's sights, and the "double mattress" is two tiny singles put together. I have travelled the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This one was the absolute worst. And the staff here hate their job. No word of exaggeration.
