From April 8-10 2017 I stayed in Hotel Corona with my 3 adult children to celebratie my birthday. Hotel Corona was perfect for us so nearby Termini and everything in Rome in walking distance. We loved the family-room that was perfect for 4 adults. We enjoyed the breakfast in the cellar, nice atmosphere and charming breakfast-lady. The staff was very kind and hospitable, we felt at home. Very special: I lost my scarf in the hotel and they took all the effort to send it to me in The Netherlands, what hotel would do that? A perfect priced hotel with a perfect location and a perfect hospitable staff. Thank you Hotel Corona, we will visit again and recommand the hotel to all our relatives and friends. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is near railway station and you can easily go for sight seeing and shopping on the foot. The staff is quite professional and friendly. But The rooms are tiny. Even the bathroom is very small. And There were no toiletries available. Also We were not provided with any kettle/tea maker which was disappointing. Also, they charge you some amount of city tax / tourist tax which is chargeable at most of the hotels in Europe. Overall a pleasant Stay. We Would rate it 8/10
I will keep this review short. Check-in was fast and staff was helpfull and we had a nice time overall in our stay. AC was very good and it was a clean hotel. Good bathroom with lost of light and soaps and hairdryer, towels etc. Coffee was exellent and the orangejuice machine gave delicious juice :) I will stay here again when we return.
Lovely reception in hotel. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff friendly. Room was small and beds were so uncomfortable. Hardely slept the 3 nights we stayed. Tv very small and room basic. Nice bathroom and shower with new towels supplied each day. Wifi is included at an extra charge. I wouldn't stay here again.
My friend and I stayed at the Corona for a girls trip while in Rome. We had wonderful service at the front desk. I told the gentleman who checked us in that I wanted to practice my Italian during our stay. He was very happy to oblige and would wait for me to ask for the key to our room in Italian upon our return to the hotel. The wifi was definitely a bit spotty in the room, but worked great while in in the common area on the entry level. As stated in other reviews, the lift is small, but works well. The breakfast was very well appointed and the tables were cleaned quickly. The location of this hotel is spot on and there are many nice restaurants in close proximity as well as the termini being just three blocks up. If I ever return, I will definitely stay at this hotel.
the staff was awesome they were very kind and friendly. there room was always clean and the service was great. if i do go back to roma the Corona Hotel is the place to stay. they are like family to me.
Excellent location and considerate staff. The place is quiet, clean, interesting. Good Price. It is highly recommended for all who came to walk and enjoy the amazing city. Staff very helpful. I feel satisfied
Location was excellent for seeing the historical locations. Walking, bus or underground all accessible. Opera could be heard playing at night and Resturant's all within a short walk. Breakfast was limited but front desk was very helpful.
My third time at Hotel Corona, staying eight nights at the end of October and early November 2016. I booked direct and was given room 512 and had WiFi included. The room is on the fifth floor and faces the internal courtyard. It’s the same size as the single in my previous visits but with a larger bed. The only real drawback I found was the location of the bedside powerpoint. It wasn't above one of the bedside cabinets like in the Single room but above the bed mattress on the side where the built-in wardrobe was positioned. This meant smartphones and tablets had to sit on the mattress when recharging. A bit awkward. WiFi worked well in room and in the lobby. The bed was comfortable, sheets and bathroom were clean. The shower head spray wasn’t even. It probably required some cleaning. There were occasions when the hot water in the shower took a few minutes extra. Air conditioning was switched off but heating was available at colder moments. The housekeepers changed towels, cleaned and tidied the room everyday. The breakfast this time around had more cakes. On one day we had cornetti as well. If you want espresso coffee always ask. This would be better than the coffee in the pots. The waiting staff are always at your service. At reception it was the same. I find it hard to believe that many say the staff is rude. Being my third time I have not seen arguing yet with any customer. I now have made this hotel my home in Rome every time I'm there. In the not too distant future I'll be back again. A bit of advice: always check their website for special prices and remember the city tax of Euro 4 to be added to the nightly price. Also ask about the WiFi beforehand.
