I stayed at the Alexis Hotel in August 2017 for two nights with my mom and child. Since we traveled to many cities of Europe we decided to choose budget option. I chose the hotel on reviews in Tripadvisor and was not mistaken. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for budget options. Hotel is very cozy, clean and located in centre, but on quiet street with lot of supermarkets near of it, which is important if you travel with a child like me. Staff is wonderful, any requests fulfilled immediately and with pleasure. Big thanks to Corinne who printed for me my boarding passes and also allowed me leave baggage after check out. Next time in Rome I'll stay here again

This is a great little hotel near the train station, it was a great value and the staff was very friendly and helpful, they definitely made my stay very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again. It is not a luxury hotel but for the price I paid it was a great value.

We went to this hotel needing a bed to sleep in whilst in sight seeing in Rome. For the price we paid we were pleasantly surprised, it was clean, bed was comfy and made every day. The shower was powerful and the water was hot. Breakfast was croissant and coffee but could be upgraded (we didn't.). The safe in the room is free to use you just pay if you loose the key!! Location is ideal you are 3 minute walk to Termini station which is also the main metro station. There is also a bus stop for the airport here and the hop on hop off tour bus. Overall a great hotel with friendly staff, if you are not looking for top of the range luxury this is your hotel.

Great value for money. Very clean rooms, good shower and very friendly & helpful staff, in a convenient central location with a wonderful family restaurant opposite. Unlike many districts around central stations, this felt safe with nice local supermarkets to buy water etc.

Good value, friendly staff, especially Elisabetha who with her wonderful smile welcomes you to your breakfast and who seems to be doing lots of other stuff, cleaning etc to make your stay comfortable, as do all the staff we interacted with. Great value for what they offer.

We had booked a Roman Holiday with easyjet for July for seven nights staying at the Hotel Alexis. We chose the Alexis based upon the TA reviews on the easyjet website. The hotel is located in a street via Gaeta that is a short walk from the Train Terminus. The reception staff were very courteous and showed us our room on the first floor overlooking the street. Beware. Your hotel package may not have included the City Tax of €3 per person per night. The easyjet small print had said so. We needed to pay €42 in cash. Paid on arrival rather than rooting around for dosh later. The hotel is a small budget hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy. The decor a little faded and dated. But fair value for the price we paid. We had booked the continental bed and breakfast option. The hotel runs a little like Ryannair. If you want air conditioning then it costs €2.5 for twelve hours. If you want a more substantial breakfast then it is €3 per person. However €3 gets you a boiled egg, some slices of ham, cheese, bread, jam and yoghurt. This includes the continental breakfast of pastry and coffee or tea. In my view €3 is a pretty good price to pay if you want a better start to the day. However you fo need to order this option the night before. Pros: Clean and good value for money. Close to the station. Back shaded terrace. Fridge with cold drinks on the terrace. If you want a drink put your name and room number on the list. Reasonable prices. Room serviced every day. Cons: It's a budget hotel. It would have been nice to have plugs in the sink and bidet! You need to supply toiletries. No big deal. Via Gaeta can be noisy. Saturday night music from the Africa bar. Rubbish bins being moved around (very) early in the morning. All part of the experience of staying in central Rome! Recommended.

When we arrived to the hotel, the receptionist lady was very kind, and escorted us to our room. When we get into the room, we were shocked, that a man was coming out from our room. He was the owner, and he phoned in our room. The floor was not cleaned, it was full with crumb and dirt. Next day I asked for cleaning, and finaly they did. The room was very simple, our own bathroom was on the other side of the corridor. Towels need to change. For breakfast we got 1 croissant and 1 capuccino. For better breakfast they asked 3 euros/person. Location is near to metro station Termini, in a small street, on the opposite side of a nice restaurant called La Famiglia.

A very nice hotel, which I'd visit again. Below all the details I can remember. Reception He reception is manned most of the time, always when they expect visitors. The night-shift sleeps in the back so always someone there. We were greeted by a friendly person. Room The thing we noticed in our room (and all rooms might be different), was the large amount of space. It was a spacious room! The bathroom was also very big (see attached pictures). As far as we could tell, the room was clean. The bed was daily made. After checking in, two glasses of wine and different kinds of chips were brought to us. That was a very nice surprise! In the bathroom, a blow-dryer and a dispenser with hand-soap is available. Shower gel is not available, but you have can buy it in the area. Towels are provided. If you're from Europe, your normal F-type power-plugs will work just fine. Their wall-outlets are support two standards. Which is convenient. Free WIFI is available. No elevator in the building. There's a cozy terrace outside at the first floor you can sit outside, quite nice. Breakfast This was a bit of a surprise. Our last vacation was in the USA, there things were a bit different. We got downstairs, and were asked if we wanted tea/coffee/cappuccino and a croissant. You get brought one croissant (or a similar type of pastry) per person. You can get a refill, if asked. On our last day, we noticed that daily they get delivered fresh pastries. Transportation The hotel is conveniently located (5-minute walk) near the Termini station (bus, metro, train). The Big Bus tours, also start with their hop-on hop-off buss from Termini station.

We stayed at Hotel Alexis for 3 nights earlier this month & found the stay very pleasant & the staff friendly. We did have a little problem with our room on the second day, but this was swiftly resolved without question as soon as staff were notified. The rooms are a little basic & dated but were always clean neat & tidy. We found the location ideal for exploring the city especially when arriving & leaving as its only a short walk to Termini Train Station. The hotel is also only a short walk to many of the sights which we wanted to see. Breakfast is served from 8:30 & although its only a simple breakfast it was very fresh & promptly served. We absolutely loved the little garden terrace & spent half an hour or so every evening there chilling having a beer before bed when we had returned from our evening meal. We would happily stay here again if we are lucky enough to visit the fantastic city of Rome again.

Big plus is the location, which 4-5 minute walk from the termini. The staff was courteous and helpful. The Hotel has no lift, but the staff helped me to carry the luggage to the room. It seems that they have 24 hr check-in. The room was quite good for the pay with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean. I stayed for a night. Although there was an air conditioner, i was told that it could be operated only in the summer. But, it was not that hot (April), so I could manage to sleep after a long haul flight. The wall isn't well insulated and unfriendly as I could hear the neighbors well. But I hope it was just with the room I was staying in the first floor. The breakfast starts at 8.30 am. But I had to leave before as I had a train to catch the next day. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend it.
