It’s located in a great area, but sometimes finding the hotel can be tricky, if your not using GPS. Staff is nice. Room is small and the window had no view.

This property was perfect for our 2 night stay in Rome. It is centrally located to all of the tourist sites and we were able to walk everywhere. The beds were comfortable, and they offer a wonderful breakfast in the morning.

Overall nice stay, but with no air conditioning
Overall, our stay at Hotel Smeraldo was nice. The staff was courteous. The breakfast buffet and service was very good. During our stay, their building's air conditioning was not working at all, so it made the overnight sleeping uncomfortable. We had to open a window, which also distracted from sleep because of the very loud city noises.

We had a great experience Hotel Smeraldo during our stay in April 2024. We were 2 people and stayed 2 nights. Location is perfect. Walkable to many Rome sights and good restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had good a variety of tasty options. Bakery with pizza and panini just across the street. Very close to a main bus stop. Room was small but tidy and clean. Would stay here again and recommend to others!

The facilities were updated and clean. Great location, breakfast options plentiful and staff were very helpful. We had an early Vatican tour and couldn’t make the breakfast serving time. Per our request, they graciously packed a “to go” breakfast for us! Would highly recommend Hotel Smeraldo!
