The staff was helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and quiet.
Small room - expected - but good air conditioning on the hottest Rome days, and great water pressure for showers. Nice big breakfast spread, helpful staff, and most of all - for those who want to be in the center of Rome - a perfect location. I will return!

I stayed one day after a cruise and the hotel, rooftop bar, food, and staff were amazing. I had a single room that was very clean. Leonardo at the front desk is great! He made me feel welcomed and made certain that I had time for breakfast and had a cab waiting for me to go to the airport once I finished.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Walking distance to the Roman Forum, Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Awesome breakfast buffet.
Clean and modern hotel including new bathrooms. I was impressed with the high quality espresso machine and dedicated barista at breakfast, better than most coffee bars…if that matters to you. Only down side was that the sound from other rooms was quite audible

Rooftop was nice. We had an extra person come with and they were very accommodating.
Within a 30 min walk to most attractions or a $10-15 cab ride depending on where you are going but we walked to Trevi fountains, pantheon, piazza navona, Spanish steps, colleseum/forum and capitol building. We took a cab to Vatican museum area and then walked back to check out castle and courthouse. Plenty of food options in walking distance as well as coop grocery store. Friendly staff, pretty good hot breakfast. Only downside is our room in Annex was VERY small-shower was about the size of a RV/camper shower-unsure if main buildings have bigger rooms but we made it work! Still very happy with choice!

Excellent staff. Helpful in everything from directions, car service, and suggestions for dinner. Breakfast was very good and much more than a roll and coffee what is usually what you find in Italy. And you can’t beat the location,
the gentlemen who checked us in (black man) was wonderful after that the staff was rude, no eye contact and when we went checkout we didn't even get a thank you, how was your stay (nothing), they boost about there open top roof area, well it is very nice but they only had one young lady waiting on people, the bar closes at 2200 but we weren't finished drinking our wine, we where enjoying the nice evening with some other guest and were run off the roof at 2200 to another lower roof but around 2215 we were told to keep it down we were laughing to load really it was only 2200 and many other people were laughing and talking outside our room till 200am, the room we either to cold or warm nothing in-between, the only thing they have going for them is the great American breakfast. location is so so, very hard to find Not impressed at all
Nice hotel near Piazza Navona, the daily breaskfast is free and excellent including scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit juice, fresh fruit, and also cheese, cold cuts, bread and pastries (pastries are excellent, try the croissants). The coffee is also very good, the ladies there cater to you, if you want cappuccino, cafe americano, cafe au lait, etc. Accross from the door of the hotel there is a very good place for lunch, pizza that you eat italian style meaning standing. All hotel personnal speak perfect English and give you help with directions to places if you want. Also they call a taxi for you.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Smeraldo in Rome. Very helpful staff with good English. Rooms were small but very clean and everything worked. The most outstanding feature was the breakfast buffet, served in rhe cozy dining room. Great location if you're doing tourist stuff.
