This hotel was fabulous , we really enjoyed our stay , the reception staff were lovely and very attentive , every question we asked was answered and excellant advice on where to eat was given . We would have loved to have stayed on the hotels roof for dinner but it was closed , we did manage to go up and sit there with drinks ect .and it was October when we visited . The room we had was lovely , very clean and we had a lovely view of the church which had such beautiful windows and the lights on in the evening were beautiful . Our breakfasts were amazing ! , there was everything you could wish for , from fruit , freshly baked bread of so many different types, bacon , eggs , pancakes , fresh sliced meats , salad, cream cheeses, so many unusal fruits and jams , we could not have wished for a better start to the day . we loved our stay so much we will be returning , thank you so much to all the hard working staff for making us feel so special .
We stayed at the hotel for one week mid September 2017. The location of the hotel is very convenient, in walking distance for visits to the Vatican and other POI along the Tiber. However, the room we were allocated was very cold, around 15C, even though the set point on the air-con temp. controller was 27C. In no way was it possible to get the system to deliver some warm air. Next morning we explained the situation at the reception desk and it was finally promissed to have a maintenance man to look at the temp. controller in the room. We never had any feed back from maintenance and we had no indication it got to work properly. The day after we realized, that there were no signals on the app. 50 TV-channels. We asked the reception to fix it and they promissed to send a amaintenance man. But again nothing happend and we had no TV during the entire stay. The first morning we woke up a little before six, due to heavy noise in our room. It lasted for app. 4 minutes and were repeated twice before seven o’clock. The following morning we faced the same problem. Talking to the receptionist he explained that it was due to air change by the air-con system. It was not seen as a reasonable explanation and subsequently we looked into it more thoroughly. It turned out to be the hairdryers in the bath room in the rooms adjacent to ours and the noise went directly through the air-con ductwork from one bathroom to the next bathroom. The hair dryer in our room was of course also very noisy. The theory was later checked by the help of some other guest, who had faced the same problem. When checking out, we informed the hotel manager of theproblems we had faced during our stay.
Excellent accommodation. looking forward to my return visit. great location. very close to St Peters Square. The rooms were immaculate. nice roof top terrace which would be a pleasant area to relax. overall highly recommended.
We had stayed here 10 years ago and liked it so much that we booked again for our stay last month. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was just as clean and nice as it was 10 years ago. The rooms are comfortable, the hotel with the rooftop terrace is beautiful. Breakfast is plentiful and good. Very convenient to Piazza Navona and St. Peter's. Restaurants close by and you can easily get to other attractions. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
Room is comfortable and clean. Reasonably priced - staff friendly and helpful. Lift to all floors and beautiful roof garden. 24hour reception - no room sevice but can access snacks and drinks through reception.
Picked Hotel for location and price, someone recommended. Just FANTASTIC. Exceeded all expectations. For the cost, thought there may be things lacking as the location so good. 10mins to St.Peters. However everything you needed was there. Facilities and the friendliness of the staff. Excellent breakfast. Would be difficult to better unless you payed top-dollar and went to the Waldorf Astoria. So we all gave it 10/10
This is an ex convent....nicely changed to a great little quiet hotel. it still has religious connotations throughout the hotel so don't expect a busy bar with great nightlife. the rooms are fairly simple and very clean. The roof top garden is hardly used, has no bar or service, but is a nice place to take a drink to...purchased from the basement bar on a warm evening. The best thing about this place is the parking... very secure in its own enclosed hotel garden and only 13 Euros a day.... this is a bargain compared to other hotel options... The car-park and garden is well looked after with fruit trees and parrots., yes real flying parrots. Breakfast is exceptional with cooked and non cooked options... there is even a device to use to boil your own eggs. top marks for this hotel.
Situated just a few minutes walk from St Peter's Basilica, you can't go wrong! Rooms are clean and food was great with a lovely hearty cooked breakfast every morning. We visited in the first week of September and it was pretty hot even then - lots of cafes and shops around too! Really enjoyed it, can't fault the hotel or staff!
Enjoy your stay in Rome near St Peter's Basilica. Price is decent with a great offering of breakfast options: eggs, breads, pastries, juices, coffees (american and Italian), cheeses, hams, cereals hot and cold and yogurt. If you are lucky, you might get a room with the vision of Sant'Angelo outside your window. Don't miss the veranda floor (top floor) for light snack food and beverage. I"ll definitely come back to this Hotel. Ciao!
Really good location, rooms clean, although as there is no air conditioning switched on in April it was rather uncomfortable at night. Breakfast was decent, no complaints. Think for the price paid it can be condsidered expensive as it was more a bed and breakfast place than a proper hotel. Free wifi but seem a bit flaky and rather slow.
