The hotel is in the middle of nowhere-but that's what we wanted. We picked it for the pool and proximity to airport. There's also a shuttle (which we didn't use- but it was a reasonable 3 euro round trip). Quirks everywhere- rooms outdated, a bit worn, with an odd smell. But, we had a great view from our well-sized room. Awesome looking spa but a dirty stairway leading to it. Would have used the spa but read the brochure....In English they claim to be open on Mondays. In Italian they claim to be closed. It was pretty.....wish we clarified. Lobbies and halls were cool. Room AC was horrendous and it was HOT- everyone continually woke up sweating in the middle of the night.....there is a great window that essential turns the room into a balcony- of course it was too hot to enjoy. Breakfast was decent. Dinner was blah. Service very good. Restaurant nice and clean. Interior bar was nice. Staff was kind. Pool was big. Shallow to deep which was great. Attentive lifeguards. Broken ladder. Weird practice- you get cards from front desk to trade to obtain your pool towels. Then after use you take the wet towels to YOUR room. There's no place to hang them. You then use the moist towels throughout your stay. At the end you turn them in for a red card which you present to the front desk to avert being charged 15 euros for missing towels. It works for the hotel and makes sense for them- of course wet towels are not nice and it's a burden on the customer. Front desk was great! Seriously- all staff was outstanding. Grounds were nice-it's just that the place is showing its age.....which is weird because the decor was kind of modern. Room floor was so uneven I nearly sprained my ankle! I liked the place overall- in spite of the quirks. Not sure I'd return. I mean, I'd go back for the pool and location (quiet and away from the bustle of the historic center). But, here's the problem- I'd avoid the place when it's hot- because the AC was horrendous. If it's too hot to sleep I guess it doesn't matter that the pool is pretty decent. If the AC was better- I'd go back. In fact I WANT to go back- but it was just TOO hot in the rooms. The staff was great. Good value. Breakfast (included and pretty good). Great pool. Easy parking, etc.

The hotel is situated in a location which requires about a 15 min taxi ride to/from the nearest subway station (8 to 10 Euros). Free shuttle is available, it runs every 1 hour until 10pm, however its capacity is limited to 26 passangers at a time. Advance registration is of essence. The staff is not particularly friendly, however, they responded to requests efficiently. The food is average, the breakfast quite monotonous with limited choice compared to other international hotels. The cleaning crews are quite noisy and over a five-day stay I was awoken at on two - three occasions around 8 am by various sounds they produced. Not a problem for early birds. Overall, my stay was satisfactory.

We went on a tour to Spain and Italy and visited Rome at the end of the trip. We tried calling the hotel number (given in the hotel website) from Venice the entire day but no one ever answered. We even called the customer care and they connected us to the hotel reception, still no one answered. After a long struggle and walking 1KM steep upslope with all our luggages we reached the hotel only to be met by the unfriendliest people on earth! The reception staff did not care for our presence. The hotel shuttle service was blocked all the time. We stayed there only for 2 days and we had to book way in advance for the shuttle. And it worked like a timetable routine and no where near a vacation! We paid 8 euros for the internet that we NEVER used. When we tried communicating the same to the reception staff, they were rude and spoke like they were accusing us of lying. Very far from the city center. Restaurant was way toooo expensive (28euros for one person - buffet) and the food consisted mainly of salads. Not worth the stay!

It is an older hotel located out of the central city. Beds were very firm and carpeting was worn, but clean. Shuttle is convenient, but often too crowded and only runs on the hour from the hotel. Breakfast reasonably good. Dinner also good, but a bit on the expensive side.
