Short walk with roller bags from train station makes hotel location ideal. Stayed just one night prior to boarding cruise ship. You can walk from hotel to cruise ship docks (long walk) or they will provide shuttle bus for small charge. OK Breakfast, included with room charge, is held upstairs in sun lit balcony but is a bit crowded later morning as folks get ready to shuttle to cruise ships. We asked for a king bed with a view of the ocean and was given large room with the bed upstairs in a funky loft with bath down below. Check out time is early at 10:00 AM to ready rooms for next grouping of cruise ship passengers just checking in. Generally nice service from staff.
A decent hotel and we had a nice spacious room. Like many of the hotels in the area they are dated and could do with modernizing. The WiFi in the room didn’t connect as the room was to far away from the signal. So every time I needed to work I had to sit in the lobby. Check out was a pain and I asked for a late check out and I was told 11am is a late check out time. I told the receptionist my booking shows 11am and then showed the booking. I was told it was a mistake as their checkout time is 10am. I explained it’s not my mistake and it’s still a 11am check out. I didn’t think a €30 fee for a mid day check out was worth it. You’re limited on Hotel choices in this town and as it goes this hotel is a decent choice to make.
This is not a family friendly hotel. We were a party of 16 all staying in the hotel and eating there the night before. Despite this they charged 50 euros because my grandson accidentally split his juice on a chair, which they had to dry clean. I have never before been charged for a 3 year old having an accident and fell 50 Euros was also excessive, especially when we had spent over 1400 Euros in the hotel .Would not go back ¡
Stayed here 3 nights prior to a Celebrity cruise. After along flight from Hawaii, arrived at the hotel just after noon. Reception said our room was not ready yet and to check back at 2pm. We walked around the town and returned at 2 and reception handed me the room key - He didn't provide any info about the hotel, such as what was available or about the included breakfast and the shuttle to the ship. The room was small, but clean and the window overlooked the ocean. The bed was comfortable. The location is good - on the edge of town, looking at the ocean and close to the train station. The breakfast buffet was good and had good coffee. It is located on the top (3rd) floor and has great views of the ocean. The one employee I have to commend is our server at the breakfast buffet "Dame". She took very good care of us. The included shuttle to the ship came in very handy. We would stay here again if we ever return to the port.
Was going on a mediterrean cruise from Rome's port town of Civitavecchia and wanted to stay a couple of nights before we left. Oh boy, we selected a very good hotel a couple of miles from the port, that was right on the water. The hotel was perfect. Our room had of view of the water, it was clean and quiet. The staff all spoke very good English and that made it real easy. The rest on the first floor was fine with very good quality food and PRICES. The drinks were even well priced !. The area was ideal for walking around with little shops and even a Mcdonald's 2 blocks away. A shuttle service took us to the boat with no problem. Breakfeast buffet was included with hot and cold items. Excellent choice if you want to do extra exploring.
Stayed here prior to boarding a Celebrity Cruise for one night. An excellent place to relax and take a nice walk after 28 hours of travelling. We were made very welcome by staff, the room was excellent, had everything we needed for our stay. We also had dinner in the restaurant that night, very good. Breakfast was also included, my gluten free selection was very good. We also got the hotel to organise our shuttle from Fiumicino Airport, cruise transfer and then our return trip back to the airport after the cruise.
Have just spent the night in an alleged 'Junior Suite' at this hotel and must say fairly disappointed. Hotel is in a good location on the front and staff are helpful, but it's tired and our room was bizarre with the bed up a fairly dangerous staircase on a mezzanine landing above the seating area absolutely not a suite. Also the bed was rock hard and we had no tea or coffee in the room. For the price needs to do a lot better and if elderly or infirm stairs in room would be a major problem.
We had problems with our flight and arrived late at the hotel. Adriano, receptionist was very pleasant and informed us that since this was our first visit to the hotel, they were upgrading us to a junior suite. Also, that the hotel was full..... When we got to the " suite" we realised we had not been upgraded but that everyone else had turned this room down. Hence it wa sthe only room left. The suite is on two levels. Downstairs is the lounge and bathroom. The patio doors open on to a large terrace which is probably the best bit about the package. The bed is upstairs and you have to negotiate a narrow and dangerous wooden staircase to reach it. Also, if you have to use the toilet in the middle of the night it could be lethal. Also, bring your own conditioner if you use it. There is no conditioner, body lotion, or shower gel in the bathroom, but they do give you four bottles of shampoo! The bed was hard, the lounge like a waiting room and none of it was appealing. If we could have swopped for another room we would have done so. The hotel itself is in a good location if you are going on a cruise from Civitavecchia and the hotel offers a shuttle service to the ships for €10 euros, which seems standard fare. Breakfast was....italian. Lots of cakes and pastries ! The coffee machine only gives you black coffee whether you hit the button for latte or cappuchino or any other combination, but the waitress on duty, who was always smiling and very busy, got is cappuchinos from the kitchen. The staff were very nice, location was good but DO NOT GO FOR A JUNIOR SUITE!!
Hotel is well situated and walking distance from everything in Civitavecchia. Even the train station to Rome is near by. Reception works well and staff is really pleasant and helpful. Rooms are tidy and well equipped. Maybe a hot water kettle instead of olive oil would be better. Beds small but comfortable. View of the promenade from hotel is really nice. Also, the breakfast restaurant on the 3rd floor gives the same vistas. On the ground floor the restaurant 34 offers really nice meals for diner. Really enjoyed my stay.
Located on the promenade with great views of the ocean. We could reserve a seat on the free shuttle to the ship on the morning of embarkation. The transfer was well organized, with staff checking names of the reservation list and loading luggage accordingly. Drop off was right by the ship. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and the food and service was really good. Overall great value, definitely would stay there again.
