Not sure if we visited in the wrong time but the beach was unusable. Water in the beach was very dirty and smelly (nothing like what is shown on their pictures). We mainly visit Florida for their clearwater beaches but here we were forced to use pools which were average and got pretty crowded, considering that all guests had to use them since they cannot use the beach. Be ready to pay $50/night valet parking if you drive there. There are no other options. Breakfast and hotel architecture were exceptional though.

As always, Almond Tree Inn was a bright spot in our latest trip to Key West. I’ve stayed here several times over the years and everything about Almond Tree is top notch, from the superbly attentive and friendly staff to the well-appointed and maintained property.
