The best thing about this property was the fantastic views. Upon arrival the down stairs toilet had urine and toilet paper in it. There was dog hair left in the bathroom sink and more would fall from drying your hands with the hand towels. The shelf on the island in the kitchen was very dusty. Overall the house was very dusty. The floor upstairs was not swept very well. There was dried food particles on the kitchen back splash. The fridge smelled so bad!!! It had a fishy smell to it. All of the beds are older and very loud and creeks. Overall the house was okay. Great location, great views, nice space, could have been cleaner and maybe update some of the furniture. I would have liked a TV in the bedroom so my husband could have escaped and watched his own showes.

First the positive: We had a lovely time.The seperation of the upstairs living space and the smaller downstairs space with two of the four bedrooms served us well.The upstairs view was beautiful. The open floor plan was such that all of us could hang out in the area and have our own space.There were plenty of linens and towels.Cleanliness: The blinds were dirty and some of them in poor repair. The window sills were dirty. Perhaps a picky comment but the blinds were unevenly pulled up. The bath mats were not clean. Sand was embedded in it.The washer had sand in the bleach dispenser and in the drum. The dryer vent was jam packed with lint.The kitchen island had spills down the side and both drawers had spillage and food crumbs.The chandelier in the stairwell was dust filled.The grill was left filthy.Safety/privacy: There was nothing in the description that mentioned the main living space was accessed only by a steep set of stairs. At the turn of the stairs there is nothing to hold to.The banister at the top of the stairs was not sturdy.One of the metal railing wires on the stairs was broken leaving a large hole into the stairwell.There were no gates available to block the stairs for child safety. We found one gate that was labeled "not for stairs". The stairs were a significant challange for our family member who required a cane.The open panoramic window was lovely, but the living space windows that faced other homes were without coverings so not

Just a few things that I think you should know for cleaning … our beds had no sheets, no towels in bathrooms, the dishwasher was full of dishes, couldn’t find brooms, but noticed them on front porch day we were leaving and although the view is beautiful, it would be nice to have shades, for a couple hours you are blinded lol Other than that it was wonderful

great house in Rockaway Oregon

The house was a good size with 4 bedrooms, two downstairs and two upstairs. The kitchen and family room was nicely designed and well equipped! The house was clean and the owner quickly responded to any questions. All in all - we had a great stay with our extended family!

Rockaway Beach

We enjoyed our stay in Rockaway. It was a great location for the areas we wanted to visit on our Oregon coast trip: from Astoria to Tillamook. The home was nice for what we needed. more than enough space for 6 adults. plenty of kitchen and bath towels, although some were musty. we had a slight housekeeping issue, but the owner, Rich, was quick to try and resolve it and was great to work with. We really enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, mugs, utensils, and pans, but could use a couple of larger serving type bowls. It's nice that a home that sleeps up to 10 also has enough dining room seating and kitchen items to feed up to 10, which is not always the case with vrbos. Be aware as you shop for groceries (Tillamook has larger grocery stores), that you'll need to buy cling wrap, aluminum foil, and any size ziplock bags you may need. They provided plenty of paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, kitchen sponges, and laundry detergent, but you'll need to buy dryer sheets if you use those. Suggestions for the area: we did all the usual beach spots, well known attractions and Tillamook Creamery. But definitely don't miss the Blue Heron Creamery, which has the yummiest lunch options (way better than Tillamook and shorter lines). Also, the short, easy hike to Munson Falls was one of our favorite waterfalls. Definitely visit Manzanita, up the road, a cute, underrated little town. We liked Tunnel Beach, Short Beach and Short San

Fantastic Family Getaway

We had a fantastic time here: 3 nights with two families (kids ages 8-13). We enjoyed the easy parking, easy check-in/access, gorgeous ocean view, well-stocked kitchen, easy beach access, walkable distance to shops, safe and quiet neighbourhood. Beds were comfy, and real cotton linens were a nice surprise (I can't stand the microfiber bedding at most rentals). Everything was clean and matched the listing description and photos. I would definitely rent this property again.

Holiday Family Gathering

Loved our stay at Rick’s beautiful ocean view home. The living space is just perfect for a family gathering-big dining room table, fabulous kitchen, and comfortable furnishings. We loved the ocean views and hearing the sound of the ocean. We walked on the beach every day and visited nearby towns. Thank you Rick for such a wonderful stay! You are a fantastic host.

Beautiful home

My husband, our adult children and my cousin stayed for a few days to celebrate each other and my 50th birthday. The home is large, well located with a beautiful view of the ocean. The owners communicate so well and are available by messaging if you need anything. Hope to stay again in the future.

Great house & location!

There were six adults as we were doing a retreat and the house is set up really well for a group like ours. We were able to cook, play games, eat at a big dining room table and eat the snacks so thoughtfully provided by the owners. Easy, short walk to the beach and an ocean view.

Beautiful home with ocean views!

Beautiful, modern, clean, comfortable home with beautiful ocean views, close beach access, and all the amenities! Great location, close to downtown. We would definitely stay again! We stayed for 6 days with our family, 3 older adult couples and 3 young adults, it was comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed time on the balcony overlooking the ocean, and the fun game room with ping pong & darts. We also enjoyed shopping at the cute beach shops downtown, eating at the fun coastal restaurants (Pirates Cove was our favorite!), and bonfires/s’mores on the beach. Great place for a big group

The house has lots of room to let kids have their space as well as adults. The ping pong and darts room was great for all, and the deck was great with a beautiful view. The BBQ worked nicely and we had what we needed in the kitchen.... mostly (bring your own foil, baggies, saran, napkins, ) We really enjoyed the layout and spaciousness. The hosts were immediately responsive with questions before our stay. Great stay!
