This hotel is awesome fireplace grill outside. Very very nice staff. The rooms are immaculate.I could go on and on about how great this particular hotel is. If you ever have to be in Rock Hill and stay in a hotel I suggest this one.
I come here from Oregon a week a month. This hotel is always clean and well kept every time, making it my home away from home. Breakfast is lacking a bit and lacks creativity, but that isn't a huge deal breaker for me.
Very nice accommodations. Friendly helpful staff. Only downside was the pool was unavailable days before the hurricane. Breakfast was good. This was a haptic time with people evacuating Florida. The staff handled everything beautifully. Room was clean and modern.
A lovely hotel in a convenient location right off the highway and literally next to the mall, Chick-fil-A and about 25 other easy to get to restaurants and stores. Clean, huge suites with separate sleeping areas and large refrigerators for leftovers etc. employees were super nice and helpful when we had a mishap in our room. (Our fault; not theirs!) Breakfast was wonderful, good coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, eggs, Canadian bacon, yogurt, cereal, breads and muffins plus Belgian waffles! What else could you want? I mentioned salsa and the lady offered to get me some! Great service on all accounts. Ample free parking. Not overpriced. We will definitely stay here again.
Stayed here with son for three nights for football camp. First thought was the rooms are small for "suites". However the space was used so efficiently all of our needs were met. Full fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed. Awesome closet with shelves and room to unpack. Breakfast buffet was nice and I can not say enough about the staff that worked in the breakfast room. Very helpful and I heard them several times offering to get someone something and they were constantly refilling and cleaning with a very cheerful attitude. Great location near restaurants and shopping . I would ask for a room facing away from the interstate. The traffic woke me in the mornings around 630. We would return.
A friend and I and two Irish Wolfhounds were traveling south from upstate New York to Thomasville Georgia and then to Fla. We had not booked the hotel room for the way home not knowing where we would end up. Started looking for a hotel that will except dogs and found the town Place suites in rock Hill. I called ahead and asked for two queen beds and was told they only have rooms with one king or queen bed or two bedrooms with two queen bed's. At the time all they had left was a king bed and a pull out couch. We booked a room and got there just before dark. Order dinner from outback delivered and took the dogs for a walk. Room was spacious with a full kitchen nice bathroom. Also the couch was not a bed to sleep on the bed was comfortable. Best thing was the area had plenty of grass to walk dogs plus poop bags available and staff was very helpful. It was a good stop over for the night and we headed out early the next morning. Grab breakfast on the way out will definitely stay at town Place suites when we have the dogs and I are traveling. Just wish they had rooms with two beds.
Full fridge in the room. TV offers Netflix, Hulu, Crackle as well as the regular cable channels. Breakfast was very good. Great coffee. Great service. Lots of dining options within a half-mile. Easy on/off if I-77. 30 minutes from downtown Charlotte, Bank of America Stadium, NASCAR Hall of Fame.
I travel weekly and in this area the Towneplace Suites is likely top 3. Comfortable beds, decent room size, with nearly a full kitchen for my weekly stay. Biggest issue: they don't follow the Marriott standard in issuing points. In three stays I've consistently received about 1/2 the number of points typically received at a Marriott property. The Fairfield Inn in the same parking lot follows the standard so I've switched to staying there for my weekly visits.
I requested a room on the higher floor when I booked a 6 night stay on line. Instead, I was given a handicapped room(I am not handicapped) on the 1st floor due to the hotel was fully booked(so I was told). There were some kind of odor when I first entered the room. I had to open the window to ventilate the room somewhat and it stayed open through out my entire stay in that room. Also, the bathroom had another indescribable odor. I had to spray air freshener before entering. In addition, the hair dryer smelled burning when it was on high setting and vibrates to the point affecting my wrist(I felt I was about to be electrocuted). I asked the front desk staff for a different one; however, I suspect she gave me back the same one because it worked the same as the previous one. A couple of days later, I requested to move to a different room and was told again "the hotel is full". Finally, after many complains and the unbearable odor in the bathroom, the maintenance manager offered to move me to the 3rd floor( after I spent 4 nights in that horrible room). This hotel allows pets, they were usually put in rooms on the 1st floor( I heard many dogs barking and was confirmed by the maintenance manager). I believe the odor in the room and the bathroom was animal's BO. The chambermaid did a lousy job cleaning this kind of room. The hotel should not mix guests with animals among the guests without the animals .Add insult to injury, my rental car was vandalized the first night at the hotel. Reported to the front desk and was told the manager will review what was taken from the camera and get back to us. NO one ever get in touch with us regarding the photo or the video.I am extremely disappointed with a few of the hotel staffs (except the maintenance manager). They are the ones gave Marriott a bad rap and need to go through training to learn customer service and proper etiquette. I will not stay in this hotel when visiting this area again. For those who is going to stay in this hotel, make sure to avoid room 104.
We spent the night at the TownePlace Suites in Rock Hill on our way to Florida. It is a great stopping point on the way to Florida. The hotel is very clean. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for stops on your way to and from Florida.
