Great location and the locals in the area are also great.It’s conveniently located close to where you want to be during the day and the retreat back to your rental which is just a few minutes away to privacy and peace. Would definitely rent again

We enjoyed our stay, the place was clean and we felt safe. The pool was a great bonus for lounging around. I would recommend this place for anyone staying in Sandy Bay.

This is the cleanest and cutest place. It’s clean, modern ( this is so hard to find in Roatan), private, great amenities. We have been coming to Roatan since 2017 and this is by far our most favorite place. The cafe 314 is delicious and just down the beach definitely recommend to swing by here. The grocery store is also a walk away as well. You will love staying here!

Such a magical place, would love to return soon! Highlights: taking a kayak out to the reef to snorkel; hanging in the back by the pool; walking to Puerta Azul for dinner.

Pool was wonderful. Just as an FYI. The newly stained deck is extremely slippery. One of us slipped and fell into the pool. The deck was dry. He sustained a gash on his knee and bruises on his hip. Even more slippery when wet. Eveything else was phenomenal

The place was just ok.The biggest problem was it's not in the safest neighborhood. The neighbors had 2 dogs tied up in the vacant lot right next to the house and they barked from 5:30am till around midnight. There were stray dogs everywhere. We had 2 come up on the upper deck several times. After 4 days of that we had to find other accommodations. So very disappointing. Unfortunate waste of money.

Great little place! So cute and private. Comfortable and clean. Everything we needed to relax for a couple nights. The recommendations in the house were great. I would definitely stay here again!

2nd time staying here - perfect - few times a day I go out to the reef with the kayak which I tow behind me. There are always several dive boats right out front showing that this is the place to be. I love the privacy and quiet yet still with close access to West End and West Bay. The cooling pool is a plus - I wouldn’t stay anywhere else

We loved our stay at The Coconut Cottage. Views were spectacular, weather was great and the cottage had a comfortable feel. Took the kayaks out multiple times and snorkeled out by the floating raft. Enjoyed walking for breakfast to Cafe 314 and Samona's Kitchen. Short drive to Ramirez grocery store and West End. My only small notes were that the shower head was in need of a deep clean as it had black gunk all over it. To our knowledge the pool/yard maintenance was not there all week as i noted a sand pile on the bottom of the pool that was present our whole stay. The lower ac unit had a small exterior vibration. None of these would prevent us from booking again. Highly recommended property.

The property is gorgeous and exactly as described in the pictures. The pool was great and rests at an ideal temperature - not too cold, not too hot. A/C works well, although we didn't use it much as there are ceiling fans, and windows on all 4 sides of the house to open and let the breeze through. All the windows and doors had locks, there is an alarm system, and we felt very secure. The beach was free of garbage, and seaweed surprisingly! The BBQ got a lot of use and most meals were taken on the upper deck watching the sunset. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, although a few more Tupperware pieces would be nice. The only thing I would add would be a gate at the top of the exterior stairs to the deck. There are a few dogs that come onto the property (they dig under the fence, nothing you can do), and can be a bit annoying when you're trying to eat - they are friendly however. We have rented several beach houses in the Caribbean and Central America, and this one is getting a return visit.

Perfect getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Coconut Cottage away from the resort crowds. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful beach for a walk. We enjoyed the pool. We also had a car so we could travel around the island as we like to get out and see other areas getting to know the people, food and culture of Roatan. We highly recommend this property for an pleasant time in Roatan.

Little piece of paradise

Our stay was a well needed relaxing vacation. Beach is steps away from the back gate and we could walk 1.8 miles round trip towards the East. We were able kayak to the reef and snorkel when ever we wanted. We definitely recommend for a stay.

Perfect location

Great house right on the beach. Clean,safe, simple and everything you need. We stayed there for a month and enjoyed the pool and snorkeling right in front. Lots of cats if you are a cat lover!

Cutest Cottage

We loved our stay at the Coconut Cottage. The area was quiet and peaceful. Being able to kayak out to the reef and snorkel on our own made it a great experience! The hosts were responsive and took care of any issues that arose in a timely manner.

Amazing Home!

This property is outstanding. It is very clean, very comfortable and at least as good as advertised, if not better. The view is amazing and being right on the beach is incredible. West End is a short taxi ride away and there is a wonderful cafe in easy walking distance and most of the walk is along the beach! We stayed here for the first night of our vacation and took the ferry to Utila the next day, but when we come back to Roatan for future trips, we will definitely stay here again!

Great stay in Roatan

The cottage was great. Off the beaten path location, nice and quiet. Right on beach, beautiful reef a couple hundred yards offshore. We really enjoyed the pool and the kayaks. Snorkeling was perfect, clear warm water, saw squid, barracuda, puffers, and beautiful shallow reefs. Great scuba operations nearby as well. The location made it easy to drive to both west and east sides of island. Shopping and restaurants not far away. This choice worked really well for us.

Lovely spot

House is very nice with beautiful views and sunsets. Pool is key as it’s not a great swimming beach but the snorkeling off the reef in the distance is nice. We had a few issues with the house the first few days— no fault of the owner whose local team dropped the ball. Once settled in we had a lovely time

Wonderful relaxing week!

We loved our time here! Sandy bay is the best. We very much dislike the crowds of west bay/end. Sandy bay is so calm and peaceful and you feel like you are integrating among the locals. The house was beautiful and perfect for us. We loved the pool, kayaks and sunsets on the beach! We drank coffee on the porch every morning and absolutely loved the greenery and privacy. The house was just perfect for us. We walked over to Sandy bay divers and had several great dives. I am already day dreaming about returning to this sweet little slice of paradise!
