My husband and I spent a week at The Beach Tulum this past month to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The place is perfect…I cannot remember having a better vacation! The hotel itself is beautiful. Our deluxe room was amazing—the doors opened up to a patio a few steps from our private bed on the beach. The pool area was very nice and it was never crowded—it offered a nice refuge from the heat of the beach. The hotel offers complementary bikes and morning yoga classes. We went to several yoga classes and the instructors were great. We had breakfast at Ziggy’s every morning—again, it was amazing (I highly recommend the huevos divorciados). The staff are the absolute best that I have ever encountered. They work so hard and go out of their way to make every single guest feel special. This place and its staff were exceptional and I cannot wait to return!
This was our 2nd trip to Tulum. We love the vibe, the character, the people, the beautiful beach, and the great food. Our stay last time on the beach road was nice, but this time I was looking for something a little bit more. I found The Beach. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, I booked The Beach and we LOVED IT. From the moment we arrived where the handsome Gerardo actually called me by name as soon as I walked in, I knew the service would be special. It was. The hotel was fully booked, yet calm, private, and quiet. The pool and lobby area, all interconnected, was so clean and charming you could sit all day there. But don't.....as you have your own marked beach bed on the most beautiful, private beach.....and it is a joy to sit and relax there all day. Having said that, my one complaint about our entire stay is that this hotel does NOT have beach umbrellas or palapas for shade....but relies on the shade of the palm trees on the beach. This is a slight problem for someone like my husband.....who relies on a beach umbrella for shade all day. It did curtail his ability to sit on the beach.....especially in the morning, when the palm trees did not provide enough shade because of the position of the sun. Otherwise, The Beach is so wonderful that we are already thinking of booking for next year! Ziggy's food is terrific, especially for lunch, when you can stroll over to the restaurant, sit in the shade overlooking the beach, enjoy the breeze, and have a truly relaxing experience with great food. We also loved the breakfast, included in the price of your room.....and you have the choice of going to Ziggy's or Fresca's next door at their sister property. We loved breakfast at Fresca's. Also.....the cleaning staff was in constant movement, so the entire property, and not just our room.....was clean as a whistle. The location is great.....within walking distance of many of the restuarants and shops on the beach road. And finally, the service was amazing. Anytime I asked for something, whether it was to replace a light bulb in my bathroom, make a SPA appointment, or call a taxi.....the staff was on it immediately. I LOVE TULUM AND I LOVE THIS PLACE. BOOK IT!!!!
We spent our belated honeymoon at The Beach Tulum- we did a TON of research before picking this hotel and we were so glad we did. It's in a great location right in the middle of the Playa. You can easily walk to restaurants, bars, shops...but you aren't in a part of the strip where you're on top of them with lots of noise. Right off the bat, we were greeted after a long travel day with beautiful (and delicious) Hibiscus Margaritas and shown to our room. We chose the suite with the rooftop jacuzzi. While we didn't end up using the jacuzzi, there were lounge chairs up there for privacy and a view that couldn't be beat. Rooms are simple and beautiful- a mix of woods, white linens, and plenty of views. Breakfast at Ziggy's every morning was plentiful and delicious. Also took Yoga in the mornings. The pool area is clean and quiet- it never felt crowded or loud. We took the free bikes available to different parts of the playa. We did rent a car to get around and never had trouble parking at the hotel. The staff went above and beyond, learning our names and always greeting us with a smile. Anything we needed we could Whatsapp to the concierge and they'd bring towels, drinks, etc. The game-changer for us was that every room had their own private bed on the beach marked with our room number. No more waking up early to get the best spot...it's there waiting with fresh pillows for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we can't wait to come back again!!
This is our 5th visit to Beach Tulum We’ve been going to Tulum for 25 years This is our favorite hotel The food, the accommodations; all excellent But most of all the staff are the nicest people you’ll ever meet Any person you walk by will always say hello And the front desk will help with any reservation you need My only concern writing this review... I hope I can make a reservation for next year!!
I truly cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Everything from the cozy room to the pool to the beautiful beach to the restaurants to the amazing staff! My husband and I did a lot of research on where to stay as this was our first time to Tulum and we are so glad we chose The Beach Tulum. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had the absolute best time. Our room had its own hamic, amazing jacuzzi tub, shower, private plunge pool, AC and we were steps away from the gorgeous Caribbean ocean and beach. The location was perfect as well! We felt so welcomed and the staff was top notch!!! We will definitely be back! Exceeded our expectations!!
Absolutely AMAZING experience! The staff, the scenery, the entire experience was a 10/10. This was our first trip to Tulum and we will be returning to The Beach Hotel. The staff is what truly made our trip. They accommodate your every need. After researching many hotels we chose The Beach and it exceeded our expectations. Unlike the other hotels, the seaweed is cleaned up by 9am. All rooms are beach front, and every room gets a beach bed. ALL members of the hotel remember your name and cater to your every need. Thank you to the wonderful staff! There is free (very good) breakfast every morning and free yoga sessions offered daily. The location is walk-able to downtown. Every detail from the lobby to the rooms is beautiful and well kept.
We stayed here last year and enjoyed our stay so much, we returned this year with our grown up children and partners. The children(all in their twenties) were knocked out by the beachside location, the accommodation and facilities. Ziggy’s and Frescas are both great dining.
The Beach Tulum is one of the nicest hotels I've ever experienced. Upon arrival, we were greeted by name and cocktails by the incredibly welcoming concierge team, Gerardo, Vickie and Eloísa, and then escorted by the very friendly Ismael to our gorgeously appointed room with views of palm trees and the sea. We spent our time at the Beach moving between our beach bed and our deck (occasionally dipping into our private outdoor jacuzzi!) well attended to by the always smiling Leo who brought us tasty tostadas and margaritas from Frescos. Breakfast each morning at Frescos is delicious, healthy and abundant. There's a gorgeous yoga studio on the property and free classes offered each morning. We preferred to practice on our own later in the day and Alejandro kindly set us up with mats and blocks to do this. When we checked out to move down the road to another hotel, because The Beach had only had three nights available for our stay, Ismael insisted on walking our bag there for us! This place is exquisite on every level, but the staff put it over the top. We loved it there!
Wow...Where do I even start. My husband and I wanted to plan a get away for our combined 40th Birthdays and 15 year wedding anniversary . We knew we wanted a romantic place to unwind and The Beach Hotel did not disappoint. Upon arrival to the Cancun airport we were quickly whisked to Tulum using the recommended transportation service. (Everything was already set up through The Beach and the driver was waiting for us.) Once we arrived to the Beach we were taken by the beauty of the place. Everything looks exactly like the photos if not better. I have to give BIG Props to all the staff who are always working to maintain the beautiful appearance of this hotel and always with a smile on their face. Eloisa and Vicki were super helpful at the front desk and if you needed anything or had a question they were always there to help. Another friendly face in the lobby area is Alejando. We enjoyed talking to him when we were passing through and he was always there to assist us in any way. Our Room: We stayed in a Junior Suite Rm 107 a bottom level, beach front room with a heated plunge pool. I loved everything about staying here...first off the room was very clean and the housekeeping staff does an amazing job everyday keeping our room tidy during our stay. - The view is outstanding and the heated plunge pool with jets is a nice way to relax (even more than you already are..lol) after hanging on the beach for a few hours. We also enjoyed drinking our coffee every morning sitting on the deck watching the sun come up before heading out to breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, you have 2 options for the included breakfast...Ziggys or Frescos. We tried both for breakfast but ultimately went almost every morning to Frescos. The menu is so delicious, fresh and truly I could have eaten a Frescos breakfast for every meal. I couple of my favorite menu items were: Overnight oats, asparagus and goat cheese toast and the coconut pancakes....They also make an assortment of fresh smoothies, detox juices and infused waters that were all amazing. After breakfast we headed to the beach to enjoy the beautiful view and enjoy the beach bed and lounge chairs. We were here during a particularly heavy seaweed event...as in every morning the ocean left a large pile of the stuff on the beautiful beaches. Luckily, The Beach staff worked hard everyday to clean up the beach. They are one of the few establishments that do clean up the seaweed on the stretch of shore we walked on. Yet again, the guys that did that everyday worked hard and I appreciated the fact that The Beach cares enough about giving the guests the best experience possible including cleaning the beach everyday. We also enjoyed fresh drinks and food delivered when requested on the beach by Leo and crew. You can order anything from the Ziggys and Frescos menu and have it delivered on the beach. We also signed up for a tequila tasting the one night with Barbara. Let me tell you this tasting is no joke...there are a lot of great mezcals and tequilas included in the tasting. Barbara does an amazing job educating everyone about the mezcals and tequilas. My husband and I learned a lot during the 2 hour tasting session. For Dinner: We are at Ziggys most evenings. The staff was super friendly and the food was out of this world. A couple of my favorite items were: The short rib and the Tulum Surf and Turf. (A couple things off their lunch menu I liked were: The shrimp tacos and lentil burger...their fries are to die for.) One recommendation I would make to Ziggys is to offer some of their lunch items on the dinner menu... because sometimes you just want a burger and fries for dinner and not always something fancy. ( Although, nothing on any menu disappoints everything is delicious.) There is a lot to do while visiting the area. We did a tour of the nearby Tulum Ruins and walked around multiple days to local shops and checked things out. Lots of people were talking about how neat the cenotes are....we didn't get to one this visit but maybe next time. Also, there is a lot of chatter about safety and visiting Mexico. Although, I can not speak for any other area but the stretch of Tulum we visited....We never once felt unsafe. There is security all over the place and not just at The Beach. When walking down the Jungle Road it was always busy with other people walking around and to be honest I was surprised at how many families were there visiting with lots of children and young babies. There are a lot of cool shops to visit when you go out and if you decide to venture out for a meal the local restaurants are so cool. Lots of great options. In closing, I can not say enough about The Beach. My husband and I were planing a return visit by our second day of vacation. So, if you're looking for a romantic adults only get away spot...Look No Further...This is the Place You are Looking For.
We had an incredible experience at The Beach Tulum. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet romantic getaway. Alejandro, Eloisa, Barbara, Nico, Leo and co. made us feel at home from the first moment we arrived and provided great advice for nearby restaurants and activities. The grounds are immaculate and the food at both Fresco's and Ziggy's were very good. The staff removed seaweed from the beach everyday to make for a much nicer view and experience than other nearby resorts. We went for a run one day along the water and several resorts do not do this and the seaweed can pile up and is both unsightly and stinky. We stayed in a rooftop room and enjoyed the view for stargazing. If I could nitpick one detail it would be to add additional spa facilities like a steam room and maybe a gym but we were very happy and satisfied with our stay.
