This is pretty much the best place I have ever stayed in my life. The whole setting was just paradise - the rooms were perfect understated elegance, nothing felt too ostentatious or over-the-top - the beach was beautiful, the service was consistently fantastic. Every member of staff was helpful, friendly, and down-to-earth too. We rented bikes, did tequila tasting, made ceviche. The food, my god, the food. I am still dreaming of the food - the breakfasts, the steak, the tuna tacos. The beach was breathtaking, and there really is nothing like waking up to see the sea just a few steps away. The worst part about it by far was having to leave!
We stayed at this hotel for a week. Everything was fantastic! All the staff were amazing, very accommodating and always friendly. We had a roof top jacuzzi room and it was wonderful. Having our own private part of the beach was so appreciated. It was rustic and had that beach vibe we adore, but with great service and conveniences. Leo was a star as our beach server. All the front desk staff were fantastic as well. Nicco in the bar was new, but so friendly and made our drinks just how we liked. Really can’t say enough positive things about The Beach Hotel Tulum❤️ We will be back! Muchas Gracias!
After researching many hotels in Tulum, we settled on The Beach and we can't convey how happy we were with our decision. In all my travels, this was the best low key beach vacation I have ever experienced. Perfect service, love the location. Exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing get away.We stayed in a rooftop terrace room and could not have been more pleased.
We have travelled the world checking out great beach destinations & I can honestly say this is the best we have been to. After 5 days or so normally my husband is ready to go home but after 10 days at the beach he was just getting into the groove. The location & the staff really make this place a gem, stepping out from your room directly onto the powder white sand is a dream come true. Great touches at the hotel are the choice of healthy or not so healthy but equally lovely food, the free coffee anytime & the helpfulness of everyone you meet. I have to mention Barbara, Paulina, Leo & Gerado who all went out of their way to make our trip super special. We booked the cheapest room rate & were not disappointed. We never had a bad meal while here both in the hotel & out & about but be aware prices are similar to London but that seems to be Tulum in general. Great restaurants to check out are Ziggys, Frescos, Hartwood (its as good as the hype) casa jaguar, safari (the best fish tacos), pasha & rosanegro (cool music vibes). Make sure you try the classic margaritas, they are heaven. We are already planning our return.
We celebrated our 40th birthday at The Beach Tulum and were not disappointed. Tulum itself is a such a beautiful and relaxing location. The hotel just enhanced the beauty further. The staff there (Barbara, Gerardo, Vickie, Eloísa, David, Leo, Sandy) were spectacular. We were welcomed so warmly as soon as we arrived and they felt like family by the time we departed. The room and facilities are fantastic. We stayed in a room with the rooftop jacuzzi and would highly recommend it. The sky at night is breathtaking. We barely left the property to eat because the food at Fresco's and Ziggy's was SO delicious and healthy with a great variety. Yoga and bikes are included which we took advantage of daily. The location is centrally located so it is easy to visit all the great shops along the strip. There are so many spots to enjoy around the hotel, your private beach bed, various hammocks, a pool, jacuzzi, swings, several lounge areas, 3-4 bars, pool tables, the spa. Needless to say it was a nice mix of lazy lounging and activity. The grounds are very well maintained and the beach is cleaned every morning. Food can be ordered to any location, which is great if you want to hang out at the beach all day. This hotel exceeded expectations and we were already planning a return trip before leaving.
We visited early November. Absolutely gorgeous and relaxing! The room was perfect, loved our warm deck pool, views of the ocean were amazing. We slept with the doors open and listened to the waves. The food at both Ziggy’s and Frescas was delicious. Everything you need is here! Be sure to grab a drink from Philipe - he was great! Thank you for all of the nice service and awesome massages at the spa. We will be back!
Our stay at The Beach Tulum was absolute perfection! We stayed in room #114 and we thought it was perfect. It was on the bottom floor and we had direct access to the beach. We were a bit concerned that we were right next to Ziggy's Beach Club, but we found it pleasant and not intrusive. The food at Ziggy's is great and swings at the bar are a fun treat. We ate breakfast (included) every day at Fresco's..........omg! Cappuccino, smoothie, fried egg tostadas, and coconut pancakes were a daily staple. Delicious! We will return again and will request the same room! The beach beds are assigned to your room so you don't have to scramble to claim your spot in the morning. The attendants will move your bed into the sun or into the shade......whatever your pleasure. They will also bring you drinks and/or food to you on the beach. Download WhatsApp before you can and enter the phone number into your phone. Delivery from WhatsApp is great! Centrally located on the hotel zone we were able to ride bikes (complimentary) to the Tulum Ruins and we were able to walk to many of the finest restaurants in the area. The staff was pleasant and friendly and made us feel like family. Vickie was great at check in and gave us great information throughout our stay. She is a gem! The ocean.......oh the ocean..........was beautiful! The water can be a bit rough, but it is perfect for taking a quick dip. The walks along the beach are long and scenic........you can stop at many places along the way for snacks/drinks. Bring cash.......most places don't take credit! Book your trip now and stay at The Beach Tulum. You won't regret it!
We have just returned from 2 weeks in Mexico, having spent 5 days at The Beach Tulum and what a joy it was. From the warm reception and thoughtful nod to it being our honeymoon, to the fantastic rooms and beachfront location - I was very impressed. We stayed in a Junior Suite with our doors opening onto the beach as well as the pool on the other side for windy days. The room was spacious and clean with all the amenities one would hope for. The food, as many have alluded to, was lovely. We enjoyed both Fresco's and Ziggy's but Ziggy's probably edged it for food at breakfast (Fresco's is road side so much nicer views from Ziggy's). The happy hour and free bike rental were nice touches and there was ample car park space (again free). The location is ideal - less then 10 mins to the main restaurant strip in Tulum and a bike ride to the Tulum ruins. A couple hour walk down the beach will take you towards the nature reserve and away from the crowds - a must! The only issue we had (which was weather related granted) is that the shutters to the beach doors rattled through the night due to the high winds; but on the still nights the sounds of the ocean was all you could hear. Look no further - this hotel is great!
We stayed four nights in a second-floor room with the rooftop Jacuzzi. We loved the hotel, the location, the food, it was great! We didn't end up using the rooftop jacuzzi very often because it took a long time to fill up and the beach was so beautiful. We were glad we chose a hotel with a pool because it was quite windy the first two days and it was nice to lay by the pool which was blocked from the wind. The food at Ziggy's was great, we loved breakfast every morning. Their lunch and dinner menus are heavy on shellfish but they were more than willing to accommodate a shellfish allergy and make adjustments. The Whatsapp service for ordering food is great and they were responsive and very helpful. The only downsides were there were a lot of ants in the room, so much so that we talked to reception about it at one point and they said they would take care of it (not sure if they sprayed or anything else.) But this is consistent with other tropical locations we've visited. And there was one afternoon where there was no hot water. Again, when in a location like this I think it's to be expected on occasion. All in all, we had a great time and would highly recommend The Beach to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation!
This place is amazing. It is just the quintessential “no problems “ beach vacation. The staff will do whatever it takes to make it so.(thank you Eloisa, Vickie and Gerhard). This is the classic example of you get what you pay for. The beach itself is beautiful, immaculately kept, gentle waves, and No Crowds or obnoxious music. You have your own reserved bed ( and chaise if you like) all sparsely scattered amongst the palm trees. Drinks beach bed side when you want or wander into Ziggy’s beach bar. Our room was an oceanfront with private rooftop jacuzzi. It has the feel of an African safari lodge which I personally love-white with lots of heavy dark wood trim. Cushioned seating and hammock on the lanai, the roar of the waves from your bed. Between Fresco and especially Ziggy’s you don’t really have to leave the place! Great food and drink at Ziggy’s with your feet in the sand, different very professional music each night around a fire pit and light strings. Doesn’t get any better. And Juan Jose is the most charming bartender! But let’s face it. No place is perfect. At breakfast, sometimes the butter was just a little too cold.
