we stayed here for vacation in June! this place is great. it is in a convenient location within easy walking distance in the city of tulum and they will give bikes for free to ride to the beach which takes about 20 min. a cab ride is inexpensive too. the hotel is quaint with 9 apt. sized rooms. a living room/kitchen area, bathroom and separate bedroom. good for families. a cute pool in the courtyard to cool off after your bike ride or day at the beach. the young man at the desk is very sweet and helpful. we didn't have a corkscrew in our kitchen and twice he went to fetch us one. he also answered any questions and was always polite. this is a reasonably price, great value. I highly recommend this hotel!

My boyfriend and I stayed here in December 2016. We booked the larger suite and it was more than needed, but very spacious, good AC, and quite comfortable. We enjoyed the free bike rentals that we used to visit the beach (~15 min ride). The location is on the edge of town but it's a very close walk and allows it to be quiet at night. The staff were very helpful with our questions and extremely friendly. There is a large grocery store within walking distance, the Tulum Ruins are nearby (both biking and walking), and there are many enjoyable eateries within walking distance. Note: The first night we arrived there was an overbooking due to a temporary issue. The staff were extremely polite and apologized for the inconvenience, and comped us part of the room cost if we agreed to spend the first night in another nearby hotel. So the first night we actually stayed at the Prana Boutique Hotel (down the street), which was also very nice!! We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at the Prana and the pool area was nicer than the Palms Tulum, but I enjoyed the room more at the Palms Tulum. Staff were friendly at both, so I would say both are good options.

I never got around to writing a review after our stay (in May 2016, site won't let me put exact month), but the trip was so great I wanted to tell others! When I looked into traveling to Mexico I wanted to find a place where I could experience the culture, food and beautiful beaches. This hotel was just the right place! It's located in downtown Tulum where restaurants/bars are within walking distance and the beach is only a 15 min bike ride away. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly and their rates are extremely affordable. They gave us food recommendations of places where the locals go, which is what I wanted! The hotel has only 9 rooms which makes this place even more special. Each room has a private bathroom, king size bed, living room, balcony and full size kitchen with everything you need to whip up a meal. They also have bikes you can use for free which we used daily to bike down to the beach. One day they didn't have 2 bikes for my boyfriend and I, so the gentlemen at the front desk walked over to a place and rented one for us, at no charge! I highly recommend this little gem to anyone who wants to get away from the touristy hotels, but still be close to the beach and restaurants.

We booked this boutique hotel 3 weeks prior to our stay (April 11-14). We wanted to save a little $ by not booking a waterfront property, and we wanted to be close to activities in the lovely town of Tulum. What sold us to book at the Palms was the *free bicycle rental that they offer - 3 just miles from waterfront and *free access to Playa Paraiso, which is a beach front property just south of the ruins. Best of both worlds - night life in town and just a bike ride away to the beach. The front desk provided us day passes to access Paraiso. Accommodations are spacious and very clean. Kitchenette is a definite plus. Hotel staff is outstanding. Friendly, professional, helpful. There is a small pool in the courtyard, which we used to cool down from our beach bike ride back to the hotel. The bed is comfortable, we slept well, wifi was good, and we highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here for 1 night at the end of a long stay in the area. Great property. Clean room, friendly staff. Good location with convenient parking. Close proximity to road to the beach or to the ruins. Close to downtown as well, but not right on main road. Pool was nice to have to relax for a little while with our kids before heading to dinner. Great value. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

We had an AMAZING stay here. Even though we booked extremely last minute (just a couple hours before arriving), they were ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The room was much more than we expected. Huge living room/kitchen area, large bedroom with tons of closet space, spacious bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the pool area. The location of the hotel was just fine for us; just off the main street and close enough to bike (or a quick taxi ride) to the beach and the ruins. Lorna, at the front desk, and the rest of the staff were very accommodating (i.e. quick to provide extra towels when needed and arranged a taxi for us to get back to the airport). Lorna also provided suggestions and tips for places to eat and the best ways to get around (even going as far as marking places on a map for us). Even when we ended up losing the key to the lock of one of the bikes we borrowed, they helped us remedy the situation without any worries. The ONLY thing I would change is the beds; they were just a little uncomfortable (not enough to not get a good night's sleep or deter me from staying there again though). Overall, we had a fantastic stay. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it others.

Palms Tulum was a great place to stay on our visit to Tulum. It was just a few blocks from the main stores and restaurant on the main street. Rooms are spacious and clean, building is very new. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Free bikes to barrow! Pools is somewhat small but who needs the pool when the beach is 10 min away?

Clean, safe, fairly priced, spacious. What else?! We received perfect service whenever we needed it, from arranging cabs, restaurants visits, information and more. The apartment got cleaned every day. We enjoyed having drinks and snacks in the early evenings by the small pool. We enjoyed the experience and would happily come back!

The hotel is more an apartment than a hotel which it has many advantages. You have more space than a conventional room and count with a well equipped kitchen, even though you came to paradise for relaxing not to cook. Good for breakfast maybe and sure to keep some drinks, candy and nachos for when you get back from the beach. The hotel also counts with a swimming pool, which its too small and dark, but if you stay for some day you will have one swim, maybe two. The hotel is located at the entrance of Tulum Vilallage. Great location to go to the beach or to travel by car to any other destination, close or far, like Playa del Carmen or Chitzen Itza. They provide you with bikes for free, ideal to move around Tulum vilallage and with beach towels. You are just on the bike road to go to the beach if you feel like, a bit far in my opinion but sure you can do it. Also the hotel is close from Avis and other rental companies you can go walking and close also from a big Supermarket named Chadraus or something like that. I would recommend going by car rental there even when you can go bi bike. I recommend this hotel and would have given it 5 stars if the bed wasn't so hard. It is ok, but woke up every morning a bit harmed cause feeling like sleeping on a big bed made of bricks. Hope my review helps you out, and you will be lucky if you come to Tulum. Regards. Javier.

Me, my better half and two of our best friends stayed here for three nights. We slept on a comfy sofa bed and the others in the master bedroom. The apartments were spacious and look like they were here on TA. Location is great, convenient parking, free coffee and water, and most importanlty very nice staff. Only minus was the lack of some kitchen tools and an oven. Can confidently reccommend this place if you are several people travelling or family with kids.
