Nice hotel. Sits right in front of the Copacabana beach! Convenient to the Metro....... about a 10 min walk. Staff were very helpful. Alot of great restaurants in any direction. Good deal for the location. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Rio!

We stayed here for a week - paid for 6 nights and got 2 for free. Missed the first night due to late flight arrival so we were allowed a 6pm checkout - nice! Hotel is fine, centrally located, with a small gym. Tell cab drivers you're going to the Palace hotel as it's next door and everyone knows it.

Everything was fine, great location at Copacabana beach, near the Copacabana Palace.

Very surprised that the hotel gave us an ocean view room. Breakfast was more that expected, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. Facility was very clean and the roof pool area was pleasant with a wonderful view and good food and beverage service. The hotel also provides chairs and umbrellas on the beach free of charge. The location could not be better and the price so reasonable, if we are ever in Rio again I would rebook this hotel. Also, all tours pick-up at that location.

The hotel is located across the street from the beach. The airport shuttle service is great. Although the pool is very small, the views from the rooftop are breathtaking. The gym is great for a quick workout! For the most part the staff is friendly and helpful, however make sure you can speak Portuguese when you call room service, otherwise you may be hung up on (happened 3 times during my stay).

My experience while at Windsor Excelsior was great! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and caring. The room was pleasant, clean, with a comfortable atmosphere. When in such a gorgeous location such as Rio de Janeiro, specially Copacabana beach, one doesn't usually spend too much time in their hotel room, however, the comfy atmosphere made getting out of bed early even tougher. The food during breakfast, and lunch was great, (did not have dinner while at the hotel but confident it must be good based on previous meals) really good quality, taste, and variety. The view from the pool area on the roof (they serve drinks and food there btw) was breathtaking. I look forward to making another trip to Rio, and definitely intend on staying at Windsor Excelsior when I return.

Close to the beach, easy access to taxi, make sure your dates are correct. I accidentally booked an additional day by mistake and couldn't get a refund!

Great hotel, staff is very accomadating, huge elegent buffet style breakfast included. Nicely located i went to sugar loaf, corcovado, paragliding, Fort Copacabana and walked up to Ipanema Beach (about two miles) in my 5 day stay and still had more than enough time to explore the shops, street vendors and relax on Copacabana Beach (where the hotel provides free chairs, umbrellas, and towels). Overall it was a great stay with great amenities (wifi, rooftop pool where you can see christ the redeemer, and all of Copacabana Beach).

The hotel is located in a good spot. The staff could have been better. They were doing construction in the upper floor at 7:30am and there were no notification, as well as the no hot water situation. The housemaids were awesome though.

THE HOTEL NOT HAD ANYTHING, CONVERTER CHARGE, THE ROOMS WAS NOT GOOD, THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE AND THE BUFFET REALLY WAS BAD.

Located right on Copacabana. Super buffet breakfast. Nice pool, exercise room, 2 types of saunas, wet and dry. Very friendly people.

We enjoyed our state, and I personaly used the instalations like the gym, pool, very confortable indeed. Thank ´s to all the staff . Will come back at future, if we can.

Perfect location in Copacabana. The staff were courteous and very helpful, exceptional. Comfort and cleanliness at par. Love their breakfast buffet. Highly recommendable - very impressive.

HOTEL STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL IN PLANNING EXCURSIONS. STAFF WAS AVAILABLE 24HRS A DAY TO PROVIDE SERVICE. THE HOTEL HOSTS A DELICIOUS DAILY BREAKFAST BUFFET WITH MANY EXOTIC FRESH FRUIT,WARM PASTRIES AND FRESH SMOOTHIES. IT IS CONVINIENTLY LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF COPACABANA JUST A FEW HOTELS DOWN FROM THE FAMOUS COPACABANA HOTEL. THE CHRIST STATUE CAN BE VIEWED FROM THE ROOF TOP POOL AREA.THE ROOF TOP PROVIDES GREAT PICTURES OF THE COPACABANA STRIP. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN.

This was our first trip to Brazil and the hotel was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The staff at the front desk speak the most English so it is a little difficult communicating to the rest of the staff (bus boys, doormen, housekeeping). The breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of variety. You can walk across to the beach where they provide towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and an attendant will get you drinks as well. They have a pool and bar located on the roof with a great view of the city. They offer information on local attractions and tours and provide good recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. Overall great place to stay.

Very satisfied with this hotel. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Our room on the 10th floor was very comfortable even though the walls could use a refreshing coat of paint. Staff at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating (we requested a late check-out at the last minute). Free airport shuttle to/from the hotel was very practical. Amazing view from the rooftop pool. We would stay there again definitely.

Free airport-hotel shuttle was easy to use - it is shared with other hotels in the area. William, at the front desk, was very helpful and was able to answer all my questions about Rio. I paid a little extra for a superior room and it was worth it to see a little bit of the beach on one side but more important to me was I was able to look up and see Christ the Redeemer in the distance. The buffet breakfast was excellent - having travelled around the world it is nice to be able to have new foods to try and there were three that I had not encountered before. The hotel is a block away from a bus stop (that I took to get to Sugar Loaf and to Christ the Redeemer). The metro was about three blocks away and it was easy to use to go to the city center. The hotel offers beach chairs and towels right on the beach. The pool was small but I had no problems getting a chair. There were not many English channels on the TV. The location and staff were great!

Friendly Staff, Great Breakfast buffet, amazing location, amazing views from the rooftop pool. Views out of the room leave much to be desired.
