I will definitely stay there again, but I know for a fact, because it has happened before, they are very strict when it comes to late check out. This is the only thing bad about this hotel; the staff is not very cooperative and understanding. Also, I noticed that the breakfast is not as rich as it used to be. They are cutting down on things and the variety is not as extensive; however, in terms of centralization and transportation, this is the best place to stay; if staying downtown is what you need. I booked a room for Thanksgiving weekend and I will ask again for a late check out because my flight does not leave until 11:15 PM from GIG. Let's see how willing to work with me they will be!
Great stay, staff are nice all wonderful..specially Cesar, taixera,Thompson are really helpful..Good services. Very clean hotel, convenient access to metro..
My husband, daughter and her husband and baby and myself came to Brazil to meet my son-in-law's family. We stayed at another Windsor Hotel for the first few days then went inland to a town called Sabinopolis for the family visit. When we returned to Rio we wanted to be closer to the Centro. The Windsor Asturias Hotel was very nice. The staff was very helpful and most spoke English very well. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but that was quite good. We spent much of our time on the roof enjoying the view, the pool and the bar. We checked out at noon but were able to stay at the hotel until out departure at 7, using the facilities and wifi.
Everything was perfect.Second time in Rio de Janeiro. I will stay there again if I have to go. perfect stay.
Had a very pleasant stay. Staff was very helpful, especially Rafael at the front desk
Hotel was very well prepared from all points to be fully occupied and to meet a lot of guests during New Year celebration week. The receiption staff was just excellent - very hospitable, friendly, reactive, kind, generative, etc. No complaints - only satisfaction. Restaurant staff downstairs was also good, everything was tasty, quick, the place itself and amenities - clean and nice. No complaints. The bar staff of the roof was slow and not professional at all. No smell in room, in bathroom everything worked perfectly. With coming to hotel only for sleep - everything looked very enjoying and satisfactory.
We had a wonderful experience at Windsor. It was the perfect location in Centro with spectacular rooftop views. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke English fluently. WiFi was included as well as other great amenities. A wonderful experience and I hope to return to this hotel again soon!
Good relationship between price and value. Lapa is 3 blocks far.
It is well located in the center of Rio, you must walk a little bit to reach the harbor and the beaches. Good value for price
good for the price I paid and the hotel quality, the location is not the best but is ok
Good price for Rio, where hotels usually are much more expensive.
Good quality and price considering that the hotels in Rio are expensive.
Very good hotel and good price considering that the hotels in Rio are expensive with less quality.
Nice personnel at registration and all willing to assist. Location is very convenient for business, room was clean and roomy. Internet could be better.
Courteous personnel at the reception desk, nice room size and cleanness, and convenient location are the top aspects that counted for me, while I'm staying in town for just one night on business. Would be better with a stronger WiFi signal in the room.
normal, noisy around, ordinary for the trip, convinent for traffic
Nice, clean hotel really in the middle of the downtown area, in walking distance to all major companies and banks (Petrobras, Vale, BNDES, Banco do Brasil, Caixa Economica Federal), Lapa (heart of Rio's night life# and Theatro Municipal #one Brazil's most beautiful theaters always featuring mazing concerts and operas#. The breakfast is good enough and lunch usually attracts a crowd from nearby offices. The pool on the top floor is really nice, with a beautiful view of Rio's natural landscapes and Flamengo #and of course a couple of favelas as everywhere else in Rio...). Te only con is that the rooms are rather small, but that seems to be the norm in Rio anyway. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for business travelers and I'll stay there again!
