We visited at the end of September for my daughters 18th birthday. On arrival, the hotel looked amazing. Took a while to check in but there were 6 of us in 3 rooms and all worked out in the end. The only down side was that the pool was closed. Now I understand that it has to close at some point but surely when you have guests in the hotel and the temperatures are still in the mid 20s, it is worthwhile keeping it open. Anyway, other than that, everything else was fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful and the waiters even indulged us on the morning of my daughters birthday with a candle in her morning dolce. The beach is less than a minute from the hotel. Thank you all for a lovely stay.
Staffs are decent and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel is very close to the beach. Room was neat and tidy. Con - The hotel is quite far from train station. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
Situated on the north side of Rimini it's a bit away from the centre. However it is a stone throw from the beach on a busy bus route so getting about from it is easy. Staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean and tidy. It's not lavish though I would be happy to recommend it to others. We had a sea view which was great through the cold rain. Worth a try
The Personeel is helpful, the food in the restaurant is good too. Hotel location is perfect and close to the beach. I would say this combination and the price sounds fair. But putting some other aspects, see pictures, I doubt if this hotel really deserves 4 stars. The bed sheets were dirty and haven't been replaced the first night, look at the blood spot in it. Door is rotten.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was very clean. We had a balcony with a sea view which was lovely. It is in a quiet location with very little street noise or outside disturbances at night. There was air-conditioning in the room which was much needed! The pool is clean and there is a lifeguard on duty at all times so it is safe. We did not eat in the hotel apart from breakfast which was only ok. The hotel is located on the quieter side of town and suited us as a family perfectly. The area is very safe and there is a regular bus service from outside the hotel which is almost 24 hour.
Room was pretty basic. Nice location a couple of blocks from the beach. Bring earplugs, though--the first night I was there they seemed to be having a live U2 concert outside my window, and the next night some other live music. The spread in the restaurant looked pretty good, though I didn't get to sample due to scheduling. Staff was friendly, and accommodating--they called us cabs when we needed them.
First of all, I must say I did get to this hotel by accident. I have booked the HOTEL ELISIR, which is operated by the same management, and there was some problem with my booking (booking.com) so I was asked to use this hotel. This is not 4-star hotel. I do understand that the Italian hotel star system is different than the rest of the world but this is not 4-star hotel. Based on my experience I would give it 2 stars plus. Rooms are too small. Point. It does not even meet the category of regular 3-star hotel. You can imagine room, where is only bed and closet (oh that was bathroom) – room no. 210. Hotel looks good but needs some maintenance – maybe they do it prior season. Mainly walls in my room were dirty. Based on what I have seen, windows in the restaurant have not been cleaned for ages (covered by nice curtains but still dirty) or maybe the air is different in Rimini and they get dirty very fast. Internet – problem. They have some very sophisticated system how to connect you to the Internet free of charge but it did not work. After 3 hours they unlock all the system and I could use it. ☺ Good point. Value for money – I have booked it for very reasonable price so it was ok. On the other hand, I cannot imagine situation to book it as 4-star hotel for 4-star price and get this. Will I come again? If I have business trip to Rimini for 2 days next year and I get the same pricing, I do not have problem to come again. I know what to expect.
In the (almost) winter time there are not a lot places open at Rimini beach - hotel Gaston is one of them. We had a family room, doubble bed + bunk bed. The room was big enough and clean, the bathroom was nice. Breakfast was good, same every day, but nice. It is very good price for the value.
Not a 4 star hotel, maybe in the past. The location is close to the beach and this is good, the receptionist are very kind and also the young bartender. What about breakfast? Low low quality, and please give plop le a real espresso! No minibar in room and the no attention when they tidy up the room!
we stay 10 nights, we had a triple room, very good size, the bathroom was ok, very clean. very close to the see. Every day the breackfast was the same, breakfast should include more variety (at least more variety of bread).Very hard to converse with reception staff as they did not speak English. The Wi-Fi was very weak, the parking was not free.
