I had high hopes for this motel considering all the great reviews I saw prior to booking our room. Much to my disappointment, our room was right beside someone who I assume lives in the motel full-time or was just mentally unstable as there was constant banging and moving of furniture until past 2 AM. They also kept going in and out of their room loudly. Noisy plumbing (someone in the motel drained their bathtub i assume at 1am), it sounded like a flood was coming through our walls, the noisy heat system that turned on every half hour loudly and the refrigerator coming on on top of that, I absolutely did not sleep whatsoever. Finally, as soon as the sun came up , we packed our things and were out of there immediately. Either our room was the crappiest there was in that motel or all those reviews we read were all fake. I don"t even know if the shower had any pressure, because we didn't even bother taking the time to shower before we left. We just wanted to be out of there. I seriously went back online to read the reviews again when I was wide awake at 3:30 AM to see if I was crazy.Because I was sure this motel should have lived up to our standards. The only good thing I can say was it was clean but absolutely outdated. The outlets beside the bed didn't even provide enough power to charge our phones, and the TV doesn't even have a remote to control the volume.So you need to get up to change the volume on the tv. Overall had to be the worst stay I have ever had.

The room was spotless, you could also see where it had been updated not that long ago. Check in was very smooth. There was nothing to negative about our stay.

Though clean and comfortable, I would not stay there again. We didn’t feel safe, some of the clientele seem to be permanently residing there (and seem to be of shady reputation…) and first night there were kids running and being rowdy until very late. And then on the second night some people (looked like “organized” people) were sort of partying outside our room (walls are like, paper thin) and I had to call reception to get them to quiet down. Im not one to act like a Karen, but it was very off putting as an experience. I am all for people getting together and having fun, and families travelling however no one was mindful that this is a share facility where others may also want to get some rest (and paid for that too!). Staff was very friendly and helpful tho.

Honestly wasn’t expecting much, but Roger’s Motel turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. The room is spotless, updated, and way cozier than I expected. Super quiet, comfy bed, great parking right at the door, and the staff are genuinely kind people—not the fake “customer service voice” kind either. Everything feels well taken care of, and you can tell they actually care about the place. Perfect little stop if you’re passing through Smiths Falls or need somewhere affordable but clean and comfortable to crash. Definitely would stay again!
