Very expensive breakfast and uncomfortable beds.not very close to centrum. Parking is not free but 8 euros a day is a good price. Staff is good. A/C is working very well. Would recommend this hotel for the price value.
Would recommend this hotel for the staff, quiet location and general easy going atmosphere. Stayed 6 nights and had a great time.Good breakfast selection and fresh food which is typical for the Leonardo!
First impresion : very bad, the entrance is from a gas station and the smell very, very bad: not sure if was because of the gas station or the full sewerage. Second impresion : in the room the fridge was closed even out was 35 degrees. And the last impresion: not fridge but yes for cockroaches. So, if I will make an other trip in Heidelberg is for sure this hotel will be not chosen.
It's clearly not the most modern building, everything feels dated. And they are busy with renovations. But that cannot be an excuse for a general lack of cleanliness. From the dust layers in the room, to a filthy vending machine and a really disgusting coffee machine in the breakfast room. Luckily this was only for one night, as a night stop during travel. The breakfast was ok, and the beds are comfortable (and clean).
I have just returned from 3 nights in Heidelberg. Stayed here and found the hotel reasonably well appointed if slightly eclectic in styling . Had dinner the first night in the hotel which was fine. Breakfast is buffet style and offers a really good wide selection catering for all tastes. The location is on the approach road to Heidelberg about 10 minutes from the town centre by taxi (cost c.€12-15) For the business district it's only 5 minutes away.
This hotel is full with contradictions. The location is well outside the city center in the backyard of a gas station. The service is very helpful. The decoration is completely off with old elements on new elements on something not quite clear and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired for. The breakfast buffet however is outstanding with a very good selection of salty and sweet.
I had a very nice large room, with queen size bed. The staff was very nice as well. The hotel was near the place I had an appointment the next day. I also like the fact that the car park was in a gated area.
In the evening we arrived and there was a hair ball over shower drain and someone's hair on floor of bathroom. I went to use one of the glasses turned upside down in bathroom and it had dried toothpaste in it. I took pictures and when I showed the staff they didn't do anything. They do have a nice fitness room. The rooms are very tiny though.
My friend and I went here for a weekend and we stayed for two nights. The service was very friendly throughout and the rooms were a normal size for a city hotel, beds are comfi and everything in general was good. It is a good city hotel but would not stay here for a longer stay. The one thing I personally found confusing is that on any map this hotel looks closer to the main station than it is, so be careful. We had a car, so it was not a problem, but for walking it is definitely too far.
The stay was generally good. I will stay there again do to the value and location. Be aware that housekeeping leaves at 2:00 PM. If you aren't out of the room you are out of luch that day. Breakfast is great. Other than, all was good
