Reception: We were warmly greeted by our receptionist, who was extremely helpful and efficient. She gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner, and helped us with a tricky roomsafe unlocking situation! On our way out, the morning receptionist was wonderful to work with, did us the favor of googling the address to a parking lot in our next destination, Rothenburg, all very cheerfully and politely! Room 40: When we asked for an upper room with a view, the hotel was most accommodating in providing us this lovely attic room, with a view onto the river from the front windows, which you can throw open for lots of fresh air and sun (with skylights above for lots of natural light) and a view of the castle from the small side window (not to be opened). The bed was amazingly comfortable with eiderdown covers. The bathroom was clean and bright and had plenty of space for toiletries along a half wall. Having lots of room, good flow of hot water and a spacious shower made the lack of a tub insignificant. Parking: If arriving by car, pull up and drop off bags, then ask the receptionist for hint on how to find and pay the reduced rate overnight parking at lot P12. We wound up going directly to lot P11, which is very close and not much more expensive and dragging our bag a few blocks through town. All the streets surrounding the hotel are quite tiny and narrow and may feel harrowing to navigate without good directions. Our GPS navigator put us right on pedestrian streets!!!
