Just under 100m2, it has a fully equipped open kitchen and dining room and a light and airy living room with a partial view of Hallgrimskirkja and a beautiful bathroom in Art Deco style. Full oak floors / black slate flooring throughout. Decorated and refurbished with only the very best. We tried to think of everything: flat screen, home cinema, Wifi, washing machine/dryer, dish washer, iron, fully equipped kitchen, mini library with English (and some German) language books, board games - and even some Icelandic/Scandinavian art pieces and original art!
Further details indoors: Children are of course more than welcome! There's a high chair, a cot (with bedding) and 2 booster seats for the car also available in the apartment. Towels and bedding for both bedrooms are all provided, and of course included in the price.

Location description from owner : The Capital Region, Down Town
Reykjavik 101, the absolute heart of Iceland...
Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland. A small cosmopolitan city which has most of the things a traveler would need and want. Trendy shopping, fashionable cafes, great restaurants as well as theatres, museums and music houses.
The apartment has the perfect location, with most things just around the corner!
We are also very close to several tour bus pick up/drop off points, all just 2 to max 5 minutes walk away.
1 - 5 Minutes Walk from the apartment
Stroll down Laugavegur, the main shopping street with its many exclusive Icelandic design stores, restaurants, cafes, 24 hour supermarket... Plus one of Iceland's ubiquitous Bonus supermarkets, and Sandholt, arguably the best bakery in Reykjavik. Then cool off again at Sundhollin, the oldest geothermal swimming pool in Reykjavik with its original 1930's features and hot tubs on the balcony, recently completely renovated and expanded, where you can swim or just relax in the warm water pools, steam room and jacuzzis, whatever the time of day. Enjoy a delicious cappuccino and slice of carrot cake in one of the cosy coffee bars close by, and if you feel like staying in and ordering a pizza, we have the absolute best pizzeria in Reykjavik just a little way up the road!
5 - 10 Minutes Walk from the apartment
Visit Hallgrimskirkja, Iceland's very own Empire State Building, a beautiful church that's illuminated with colours at night... Or go down to the sea, stand at the coastline and just enjoy... And check out Solfar, Jon Gunnar Arnason's beautiful sculpture of a viking ship, situated at the water. Visit the antiques and fleamarket at Kolaportid.
10 - 15 Minutes Walk from the apartment
Feed the ducks at Tjornin, the big City Pond. Afterwards, pop into the City Hall and have a look at the enormous 3D Reykjavik map. Have a drink on Austurvollur, the main public square surrounded by the Parliament and Domkirkjan, the oldest church in town. Don't forget to visit Harpa, Reykjavik's hyper modern Concert Hall. Stroll over to the harbour and join a whale watching expedition, then visit the Whale museum, or even Fly Over Iceland, and finish off the day with a delicious meal at one of the many fabulous restaurants Reykjavik has to offer.
Once you've booked, we also provide detailed information about the apartment, the area close by, things to see and do in Reykjavik, restaurant recommendations, suggestions for day trips etc.
The apartment is heated and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

We had a great time during our Reykjavik visit. The apartment was well-situated, a couple blocks from a grocery and locks of restaurants. Harry’s Seafood and Grill was a nice, reasonably priced place for a meal, and there are many Asian and Middle Eastern places nearby. We also found Reykjavik Fish and Chips to be delicious. Nice restaurants are quite expensive, and you have many choices of them as well. Everything at the apartment was in good shape. The kitchen was well-equipped and had some basic provisions. The Bonus market was less than a 10 minute walk for everything else. Just one thing to be aware of before you shop - the fridge has no freezer. It wasn’t a problem, but we didn’t realize it until after we bought some ice cream. We didn’t really need it, but we would have skipped the ice cream if we’d known. There were always parking spots nearby, and we could pay for them using the EasyPark app. We’d definitely stay here again if we make it back to Reykjavík.

Sue is an amazing host who provided not only a wonderful space but great information about the area. The location of her property is perfect for enjoying every aspect of the city. Sue has a well stocked place with all the amenities necessary for any length of stay. And upon arrival, there was a bag of coffee waiting on the counter for weary travelers. Thank you, Sue!

This was a wonderful accommodation. The apartment is within a short walking distance of many of the city sites, restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. It had everything we needed to make dinner at night over the holidays since many of the restaurants were closed for Christmas or already booked months in advance. The tourist bus stop was a short walk from our front door so we could get a pickup. But we also found that the BSI terminal was only about a 10 minutes walk away so didn't really have to worry about that. Our host was great. She checked in on us to ensure things were going well and so responsive. Before the trip, she sent information to help me plan our stay. My family had a great time in Iceland in the winter and we hope to make a summer trip in the next year or two. If so, I will certainly book this apartment again.

We had a fantastic experience staying here for a week. The location is the absolute best! We walked to food, bakeries, and shopping. Sue was beyond helpful, quick to answer all questions and gave many useful recommendations. The apartment was equipped with everything you could need and very clean. We would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic location and a wonderful host.
Excellent location, just steps away from the most of the best spots in town. Sue is welcoming and helpful. Prior to our arrival, she sent us a document which had all info we needed for everything - detailed information about the apartment and suggestions for day trips, dining, etc. Would definitely recommend staying with her.

IDEAL location for exploring Reykjavik!! We got a good workout hauling our bags up 2 flights of stairs, hahaha, but it was worth it for the proximity to everything. We were also worried a little about the parking situation, but it was easier than we expected with EasyPay app and finding street parking in the zones we wanted to pay - plus it is free from 9pm-9am. The host was AMAZINGLY responsive, we appreciated her communications and help with a few minor things around the apartment, and she got things resolved quickly and efficiently!! Would recommend this location for anyone looking to enjoy the city from a prime location w/a host that sends fantastic information out before your arrival so you can get oriented w/recommendations and ideas. Stay here!! :D

We were so pleased with the experience at this apartment. The owner was responsive to questions and replied quickly. The apt was in a great location, wifi worked well and we walked to most places in the city. Also close to bus stops for both tour and city buses if traveling a bit further. Comfortable beds, clean and spacious. Didn't cook much but that was our choice as the kitchen was stocked well. One note: there is a small refrigerator there, but no freezer. We were four including our two sons in their 20's. Highly recommended.

This gorgeous place is perfectly situated in Reykjavik with easy access to many of the places you may wish to visit. We didn't need to rent a car, we just booked pick-ups from nearby locations (easily walkable) for the couple of tours we joined. The unit itself is fantastic -- comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer and beautifully decorated. For anyone considering staying here, note there are 2 flights of stairs to access the unit (although I have a wonky knee and had no issues). Highly recommend!

Ideal Location - Fantastic Host
We loved staying at Sue's place in Reykjavik and highly recommend her place. Highlights:- Location is fantastic. A few short blocks from the downtown corridor, we were able to walk and take scooters to/from the apartment. It's close to the Hallgrimskirkja church which is in a quiet neighborhood but still close to everything. - Two bedrooms as advertised. King bed in one and two twins in the other. The dining table and living room were nice to relax and have breakfast. - Parking is easy. We were lucky to find parking directly by the unit for our entire stay. But if no spaces, there are plenty around the nearby streets - you won't walk more than a block once parked. Lastly, Sue is fantastic. Even before the stay, she provided recommendations and travel ideas for our family with kids.Would definitely stay with Sue again when we have a return trip.
