The staff were fabulous, from check in to check out it was a lovely experience. We always choose this hotel when visiting red deer as the Steak house HIY steaks is absolutely delicious! Top it off with the house wine, and dessert.! The bed I had in west wing, hopeful for upgrades to that area soon, anyways, the bed the pillows were like sleeping on clouds. I had such a good sleep.

Unfortunately, this hotel left us extremely disappointed. After a 45-minute wait to check in, standing in a lineup of nearly 40 people, we barely made it to our Christmas party—definitely not the start we were hoping for. Still trying to stay optimistic, and remembering how much we enjoyed this hotel 25 years ago, we were excited to return. That excitement faded quickly. It was heartbreaking to discover that the rooms appear virtually untouched since our last stay—aside from the hallways being painted white and some paint smudged inside the older rooms. Our room had no face cloths, and the space was so small it was difficult to move around. To make things worse, a large dog barked for an hour in the middle of the night, and someone repeatedly ran around in the room above us. The most disappointing moment came the next morning when we invited guests to join us for breakfast. The staff’s appearance felt unprofessional, the service was mediocre, and the food was so underwhelming that three plates went unfinished. We ended up leaving and having breakfast elsewhere for half the price—with far better food and service. It made the whole morning feel wasted. The casino is fantastic, but the rest of the resort was honestly a huge letdown.

We stay at this property whenever we go to Red Deer usually a couple of times a year. Our choice is not about the casino as we don't use those facilities at all. We love that you can check in and don't have to leave the hotel until you check out if you dont want to. The restaurants and lounge all have terrific food so finding a restaurant isn't an issue. The rooms are spotless ,bedding and beds so comfortable . We love this hotel- all the amenities, and staff that is efficient and helpful.

I don’t drink. I don’t like casinos. Stay on a Tuesday - low season. The club room experience was fantastic. Snacks and coffee in your own lounge in the evening. Full breakfast in the morning. By 9:30, no one in fitness room, pool and hot tub area.steam room and change area felt like it was my own place. Hot tub was hot not warm and pool was cool. I will be back
