This was a very nice and clean hotel. I like the location next to the mall, restraunts, and interstate.

Staff was outstanding. Leah at the front desk was very accommodating. Left was water container and she mailed it to my home address. Cindy at the breakfast room was very helpful. Needed some boxes for shipping and she provided them. BZ to all.

Fridge didn't work and location is a bit off the beaten path. Should have been at the Rushmore plaza.

Hotel was clean, convenient and staff was efficient and friendly.

Nice room, friendly staff, good location in relation to sightseeing. Good breakfast!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was very comofrtable. I like the choice of firm or soft pillows they have on the bed. Breakfast is included in the price, and is good. Has an indoor pool and a room with exercise equipment. For the price I beliece it is 5 star rating. Very close to a wide range of restaurants.

The location of this hotel is central to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse as well as a good central place for ATV rentals in Mead and Deadwood. The Breakfast at this Hotel is OUTSTANDING, and the dining area is also excellent. The breakfast was always hot. Our room was perfect, and very clean. This hotel looks like it was not built long ago as everything still smelled new. You won't be disappointed staying here. They had a real nice pool area for the kids. Don't hesitate to jump on this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. There was never enough hot water for two people to shower right after each other. I have traveled all over the states and this the hardest and lumpiest bed I've slept on. The pillows were like bags of beans you had to wrestle with all night.

Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Thank you for the extras.

The hotel was close to many attractions, the staff was friendly, and very helpful.

Our stay was nice, staff were good, there's nothing to complain about. breakfast was good. Me and my wife were satisfied of the service.

The hotel is about what you'd expect out of a three star. Everything was in order, staff was helpful and room kept clean. I do wish when young sports teams are staying at the hotel that they and their coach be reminded that others are staying in the hotel as well and they would like no to have their sleep interrupted by noisy children.

michelle at front desk refuses to refund us for first nights stay because of policy no cancellations after 9 p.m. I don't blame policy OR her but we didn't MEEN to miss our connecting flight in minnapolis. It just happened by 3 minutes at 9 p.m. My folks are in their 80's, move slow, get confused, I do my best, we stay at Holiday Inn's many times and the ONE time THIS would happen I have to pay for a room in Minnapolis to get the first flight out in a.m. and Holiday won't give execption just this once doesn't seem fare to me and I would like to inquire again. And I thank you for your time.

My son and I stayed here for a night after traveling from Chicago to see Mount Rushmore and the other sights around Keystone, SD. We were happy with our accommodations in general, especially its location and cleanliness. The hotel is located just off I-90, in one of those typical USA areas with the chain restaurants and hotels - basically just the place you want when you are in unfamiliar territory for a short period of time. There are several restaurant choices nearby, including an Outback that shares the back driveway with the hotel, and there is a mall just down the street. If you take LaCrosse street its only about 5 or 10 minutes to probably whereever you'd want to get to in Rapid City, and you can be on the road to Mount Rushmore in about 15 minutes. The only thing we weren't happy with was the breakfast - it was worth the price we paid (free) and that's about it. But with that said, we didn't stay there for the food, that's for sure. All in all I would recommend this for someone looking for a short stay at a good price and a very good location.

Hotel is in the right place to get to all the activities and places to see.

Our room was not ready at check in time, and several other families checking in around the same time as us had to wait for their rooms as well. They did allow us to use the pool while we waited. Over the course of our stay, the pool towels were regularly gone, and two separate times I had to ask for towels. The breakfast was a little worse each day, with the pancake maker and a juice "out of order" the first day (not to be fixed at all during our stay), and another juice the 2nd day. They could not keep up with the breakfast demand and we waited 5-10 minutes for them to bring out more eggs which were immediately emptied because so many were waiting.

We went out for the state dart tourny and it was a nice hotel. The kids loved the pool and the breakfast. But I do have to say the staff needs some help with Customer Service skills. They were not that good.

Well located, clean, comfortable, has a pool and a fitness center, they allow pets. Good deal for the price.

Average hotel~ but bed was good pillow is prepared hard and soft that was good.

My family and I were in town for a wedding and sight seeing. I stayed six nights at the hotel with my mom and my niece. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good, pretty standard stuff, but plentiful and the morning staff worked very hard to keep every dish full. I did find the rooms somewhat noisy with plumbing noises and footsteps above. I bought a fan for white noise which helped. The hotel was mostly families so it quieted down pretty early. Here is the spoiler: the last night my niece and I finally had time to go the pool/hot tub. The hot tub was fine, but we found feces in the pool. (Don't ask how, but I am sure it was [*].) We immediately got out, and I informed management on our way back to our rooms to shower. Much to my surprise when we returned from dinner an hour later, the pool was still open. I would have thought there would be a protocol to clean and shock a pool before letting others swim. So my review is a bit of a mixed bag, and I am not swimming in hotel pool again anytime soon. And the lack of appropriate response from the staff is the only reason I would not recommend this hotel. Accidents happen, but clean it up and protect your guests!
