This hotel is aimed at the longer stay folks and it is easy to adapt to this. If you want linen changed daily, you just have to ask for it at the front desk and they do it. The rooms have a range to cook on if you want and a refrigerator and dishwasher and coffeemaker. There is no free breakfast here but that is minor if you are looking for a cheap place to see and get by while you are taking a course at Sirchie. Sirchie will give you a code to get a cheaper rate. Sirchie has some of the best forensic courses in the nation.
Had an amazing experience! My husband and I use this as our preferred hotel when traveling to Wake Forest to visit family. We booked over Fourth of July weekend and were able to get a great last minute deal and even managed to extend our stay by an extra night for a VERY affordable price! Loved the King suite and amenities! Also brought along our little dog and had no issues with other guests or our comfort. Will definitely stay again! Special thanks to Laci for making our visit extra special!
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was accommodating, and the lobby and public areas were clean and well kept. My suite was spacious and clean, with all the amenities I needed. I will return to this hotel the next time I am in the area!
Did not know that they do not automatically change sheets and towels daily. You have to take them to front desk and then make the bed. Only one coffee package in room. Have to go downstairs to get another. Friendly staff.
We stayed at Candlewood for two nights for a family wedding and absolutely loved this hotel. We were greeted at the front desk by Mary. She was absolutely amazing!! She helped us with directions and took care of all of our needs. I would go back to this hotel just based on the wonderful service provided by Mary. The property is spotless, the rooms are large and have all of the amenities anyone could want. Easy parking and access to all major highways into Raleigh. I have traveled extensively, and this hotel can hold up against properties costing ten times as much per night. Don't miss this gem of a hotel!!!
First experience staying at Candlewood Suites on a business trip. The hotel is located near major highways which make it easy to get in and out. Also located near many restaurants and retail options. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are very nice and spacious, and are equipped with a kitchenette. This made my extended stay very easy and worry free. The in-house gym, laundry facility, and small grocery room added to the convenience. I will be making the same trip to the Wake Forest area four more times this year on business, and plan to use Candlewood Suites every time!
We'v been visiting family in NC for years but always stay in a hotel. This year we decided on Candlewood Suites and were extremely satisfied. Of course there were glitches that were not deal breakers and were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Examples: the "light housekeeping" request in order to get the room tidied up and fresh towels 24 hours in advance - we did do this and they forgot on day three. I called and almost immediately fresh towels were delivered to our door, our garbage was taken away and we just refreshed the bed ourselves. The big challenge was the elevator was out of service the very day we were leaving and we were on the fourth floor. We were not happy to have to lug our luggage and bags down flights of stairs but Mary was alongside of us carrying items also. She also gave us a goodie bag because she felt terrible. The flip side was a super comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of room to enjoy, great shower/bathroom, a kitchen that was very nicely set up and we were amazed to see a full sized refrigerator with ice cube maker there also. Doing our laundry before we left to go home was a plus also. There is no doubt that we will be back to Candlewood Suites again next year.
My family and I came in for my brothers wedding on the 1st of the month a couple days prior to the wedding. At checkin I was welcomed by a friendly staff, we knew we were a bit early and didn't think we'd be able to get in to change and rest as we have come along way from West Virginia by car. The front desk representative was very friendly, she inquired about my trip coming in and offered us an early check in! My wife and kids were already exhausted from the long drive in it was the best news we'd heard all day. Being an IHG member at candlewood Suites Wake forest also brought along more perks, I was offered points or a snack amenity as well as complimentary internet access which is a blessing when you're traveling with three kids. House keeping did a great job in preparing the room for us. We indicated that we would be traveling with our children as well as the family dog, and expressed our need for a pull out couch. Upon entering the room the pull out couch was prepared with all the required amenities and our dog had a lovely treat waiting for him! Such a worthwhile stay and having our wedding party on the same floor made the wedding jitters of everyone subside dramatically and the experience was very wholesome. Thank you candlewood Suites Wake Forest !
In finding a room for my parents close to home, clean, comfortable, spacious, and affordable, Candlewood Suites of Wake Forest provided the perfect place of overnight rest. Thank you for being so reliably all a room needs and more for my out of town guests! Service was friendly, personable and excellently provided throughout the experience.
My wife and I stayed here on Mother's Day weekend. There was only one problem. We arrived around 3:30, checked in, took the elevator with the cart holding all of our luggage, and found our room was still in the process of being cleaned. We had to go back down and sit in the lobby for about 30 minutes while the lady finished cleaning. She did a good job. But check-in time is 3:00 and we had a full evening planned and didn't have a lot of extra time so we were a little annoyed. The front desk clerk gave us a 5$ coupon for the snack center, but I'm on a restricted diet and couldn't eat anything they had. But, otherwise, for the money I don't think there'a a better value. Also, my wife is a smoker, and this is one of the few motels that has smoking rooms. Oh, and about the beds, I've stayed here numerous times and I have back problems. That said, their bed are comfortable and don't bother my back (i've been a lot of places where the beds are just terrible and I'm in pain and can't get a good night's sleep).
