Or maybe all the Four Seasons Hotels should go under the name Le Bonne! Five star! They meet or exceed my expectations from the minute will pulled in until we reluctantly pulled out. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The rm was well laid out, nice shower and a great bed with the perfect pillows. I only ate lunch once at the outside Napa Grill- excellent! ( great patio just off the pool ) One of my best hotel experiences ever! ( don't let their price make u think u are getting a lessor hotel- they could charge double and it would still be a great deal ) Mr Harbour
Located about 1/2 hour from downtown Quebec City, this hotel is just a lovely spot. The location is deceptive as it is located in a residential community...Ste. Foy. The facilities are a mixture of modern European decor with tradition Québécois stylings. Bar and restaurant service features friendly bilingual staff. The food is excellent. I would go back anytime.
Poor communication, when we had check-in the breakfast options were not properly explained, we therefore had to go elsewhere which messed up our morning plans for that day, since we were checking out later that morning.
Everything at this hotel is great but what really continues to impress us every time we go is the service. I am a customer service trainer and have worked in those crazy 7 star hotels in the Middle East, I can easily say the service at Le Bonne Entente is easily as good if not better than that. The food is also great, small menu but every option is just perfect, dont skip breakfast, its delicious!
I stayed at the Chateau-Bonne Entente in January 2015 in Terzo room. It was luxurious and confort! The Terzo room was large and very modern with a steam shower. A wonderful shower with multiple jets and luxurious sinks. There was a desk where I could work, a sound system for music, and a very well, stocked open bar with bottles of wines and fine liquors and bottled water. The Hotel has a spacious hot tub outside and you can go for a dip even if temperatures are below zero! The Hotel has a luxury restaurant with an excellent continental or hot breakfast. The only drawback is the Hotel is far from downtown Qc City but they have a shuffle twice a day to bring people into the Latin quarter. During the summer there is a large and nice swimming pool. Ideal for visits to Laval University. I will definitely return.
I stayed here for 2 nights while on a business trip and really enjoyed the property. The restaurant was very good, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and the staff were helpful. There were two things I did not particularly like. First, the room I was given had a "spa bath," a feature the desk clerk seemed to think was really great. It would have been great for a relaxing weekend trip, but I needed a stand-up shower and it was impossible to do that in the bath. There was no place to hand the shower wand, and the curtains did not even close completely, so water went everywhere when I tried to rinse myself. Very odd. I'd ask for a different type of room on a future visit. Second, I had to leave at 4am to catch my flight, but the dining room didn't open until 6. I had a breakfast voucher for that meal, so the staff offered to pack me a take-away lunch instead. I accepted the offer, but it turned out to contain a very stale sandwich, a freezer-burned muffin, yogurt (had to eat on the way to the airport as it wouldn't pass screening), a water and a juice. I would have appreciated the muffin if it had not been previously frozen to death. I was charged something from the mini-bar which I did not take, and the hotel billed me for this after my departure. I had to call the hotel back to resolve this. I'd return here, but I'd get a different room and would try to stay for breakfast!
My wife and I stayed Christmas and New Years. We're from Florida so wanted to see snow and snow we seen. Always had a shuttle to old Quebec and drivers always friendly and polite and on time. Christine went way beyond are expectations. Always so helpful and polite. She fond us a great sports bar to watch a college football game that I didn't want to miss and booked us a great snow mobile and dog sled trip with packed lunch. Room was amazing with whirlpool tube and full liquor bottles in Mini bar. Old Quebec City was awesome. We will definitely miss it all.
Clean, quiet, beautiful site (summer and winter), very good restaurant, large rooms. I love it. I've been staying in that hotel for the last 15 years. They always find ways to improve rooms, services and quality. I strongly recommend it, and I am a fussy traveller!
When I want to go on a romantic escape with my girlfriend and we do not want to go far away, we go there. The urbania section is fantastic and the staff if exceptional. A big thank for Mr Richard Olivier who was very professional and accommodating.
Positive : There was very little room left when I did the booking for this hotel. As needed two room this made it so that one room had a slight upgrade compared to the other one (which we didnt mind) the staff was nice enough to upgrade the second room so that we could have our room within the same area of the hotel which was nice. The staff was very friendly, the rooms where maybe a bit outdated but very large and well light. Negative Some strange decision in the room like a wall of glass block right in from of the toilet (hello privacy?). We believed the parking was included in the hotel price and the staff didn't let us know it wasn't. We had to pay an extra 15$ a day to be able to use the hotel parking which is surprising, Never usually have to pay for the parking in most hotels. The staff was a bit confused with us using 2 credit card (one for each room). They said everything was good and each room was added to individual cards and they ended up charging everything on one. Always a bit annoying when we took the time to give both cards and everything. Don't forget to put the privacy sign on the door if you dont want to wake up at 7h30. One of the staff member started chatting in front of my hotel door for 20 mins around 7 in the morning which is a bit annoying when you are trying to sleep.
