Clean, comfortable beds, cute little balcony overlooking the Mississippi River. What a nice motel. We took a walk through the neighborhood along the river and up behind the motel. Found a couple of good restaurants nearby. The room was clean and quiet. We will likely stay here again. Pleasant!
First, let’s get our issue out of the way. We booked a two bed room for my wife and I, as well as another couple. They were nice enough to upgrade us to a suite at check in, which had a beautiful view of the river. Only one king, but it had a sofa sleeper. No problem, right? Wrong. A very small sofa sleeper that was too small for the other couple. The hotel was on it. Got us a rollaway and comped the room. Without any issue. This is customer service. The hotel itself is very nice. Exceptionally clean and updated. Great views of the river and a nice location close to town and the highway. Breakfast was standard HIE, which is to say good. The staff here really shines. From the desk staff to the manager Barb, they all went out of their way to make things right and do it with a smile. We will certainly be back. Great hotel that is well worth the money.
We stayed here based on location. Being on the river was the deciding factor. This hotel is very nice. The interior has been recently remodeled. It’s modern and fresh. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was very friendly and recommended local places to eat. It’s just a short drive into the historic town of Le Clair. Worth a stay.
The hotel was very modern and comfortable. The room was inviting and had a balcony overlooking the river. Staff was friendly and the hotel very clean. Nice place in a wonderful little town. I highly recommend a visit to this city put on the map by Buffalo Bill Cody and the American Pickers.
This hotel seems to have been recently updated. Everything is new and fresh. Crisp modern furnishings in the rooms. Everything is spotless. Beds are comfortable. Standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast buffet. The food service area is a bit small and the 2 days we were there, a tour group was also. The breakfast area was crowded and there was no seating left for us-we brought our breakfast back to our room. A minor inconvenience.
We were traveling through the area on a motorcycle heading to the western side of Iowa when we encountered severe weather that was not going to pass anytime soon. We contacted the Holiday Inn and they were very accommodating and got us into a nice room for the night. The room was very clean and every staff member we encountered was very kind.
This is a very clean updated hotel with nice amenities and if your room is on the river side a great place. We were on the side of the hotel with the railroad track running along side us. Trains run throughout the night and unless you are a really heavy sleeper they will wake you up. Other than this we had a pleasant stay.
Only hotel that is on the riverfront. Walking distance to restaurant and bar. We were tired and they did an excellent job getting us the room we wanted. We were first floor riverfront view. Parking lot onsite was a plus. We were walking distance from a german bar and grill that had great food. Overall I would stay there again.
My family of 5 stayed here on our way out West and on the way back. Both times the hotel was super clean and the staff was friendly. We booked a room over looking the Mississippi River, well worth the additional cost. It was a nice way to relax after a day of travel. My only minor complaint was both times they only gave us 3 towels for 5 people. Not a big deal, we went to the desk and they gave us 2 more. I absolutely recommend this hotel.
We upgraded to a river front, king, room. It was excellent: the room was well furnished and spotlessly clean. We had a balcony on which we could sit to enjoy the fabulous view over the river. Kate, the receptionist who booked us in was lovely. My partner raved about the breakfasts and ate more than he normally does on both occasions. There is a welcome cheese and wine reception on most evenings, which is a lovely touch. The girl working on reception last nast (sorry, I didn't get her name) was really lovely and friendly and warm.
