Fairfield Davenport by Marriott2.5 out of 5.0

I have stayed at dozens of Fairfield Inns across the county and most are well maintained, clean and updated. This property was surprising in that it was obviously in need of TLC. The carpeting in the hallway is bubbling, in desperate need of replacing. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, clean and adequate for my needs.
This is clearly a 2 Star Hotel vs an advertised 2:5 Star: No real lobby and halls bland to elevator, Staff was very friendly including the maid staff and breakfast staff. The Breakfast was better than average and worth a few extra points in this rating.
Terrible. The room not clean and the pool not working. Also no hot tub as advertised.Breakfast was good. The bathroom floor had pee stains on it. The room coffee was terrible. I could have spent alot less and had a better stay elsewhere. Will not stay there ever again.
1st time in Davenport, came for a concert. Marriott's are our go to hotels, stayed at the Fairfield Inn & it was everything we needed. It's tucked in behind Green Buick GMC Car Dealership - watch for that sign & you're almost there. Front desk staff were great, gave us a goody bag since it was our 1st time with them. We had room 301 which was clean, with a nice big sized "mini" fridge, microwave, single serve coffee maker, adequate plug-ins, good wifi, quiet heat/ac unit & no room-to-room noise & minimal road noise. The sink is located outside the bathroom, which we like. Fluffy towels, Paul Mitchell toiletries. The beds were comfy. The breakfast selection included scrambled eggs or cheese omelettes, bacon, sausages, biscuits & gravy, mini waffles, hot & cold cereals, toastables, fresh apples & bananas & cut up honeydew & pineapple. The usual juices, yogurts, pastries & more. It was a good experience, we'd recommend it & we'd stay here again.
The bed was uncomfortable, furnishings old and outdated, the floor above us squeaked every time the people above us walked across it - which kept us up most of the night. I spoke to the desk clerk upon check out and let her know we were not satisfied with our stay (they had a sign displaying the "Guaranteed Stay"). She informed me the manager would contact us and either offer to pay some or all of our stay or give us points - we never heard from anyone. And every other hotel on our trip sent us an opportunity to rate them - interestingly enough - no such offer came from this hotel.
This is an older hotel. It's clean and they provide a nice breakfast. It's not the greatest place but certainly not bad. The staff was more than kind and it was quiet for a good night sleep. If you want a place to stay close to the freeway it is certainly worth a stop
Service was excellent and front desk was friendly. The room was clean and organized well to get my paperwork done, however I had to ask for another desk chair after two hours sitting in a broken one. They replaced it with another one. The WiFi worked well. The elevator needed to be cleaned especially the floor. The breakfast was average, however there was not enough seats in the breakfast area for everybody to be seated. Several were sharing tables as I had to do. Hotel is a little dated, however price was very reasonable.
We stayed at the Davenport Fairfield on our way home from an extended trip. We have stayed at Fairfield Inn's across the country and found this one very disappointing. First of all it is almost impossible to find the entrance. Even with the GPS it took two tries. Once we arrived we found the hotel rather dated. The room was small, and the bathroom even smaller (we were in an upgrade to a suite). The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, but overall not up to our anticipated Fairfield standards.
My wife and I used our Marriott points to stay a couple of days here while we visited friends in the area. We used to live near here and the neighborhood around the hotel is very safe and near all the main roads. It's just off I-74 and close to shopping also, but we were mostly interested in being close to friends on the Mississippi River (one couple lives on a boat at Lindsey Park Yacht Club) and in town ( others live in Davenport & Bettendorf & Le Claire). It's a bit older property but very well maintained and perfect for our purposes. Plus you can't beat staying free on points! The breakfast was excellent even though they only keep it open until 9 a.m. We're used to later breakfasts when we're traveling for a relaxing stay.
Disappointing, not up to a Marriott standard one expects. Keep driving Hotel needs major overhaul. Shower doesn't drain. Toilet running. Overall cleanliness below Marriott standards. Unfriendly & uninterested staff. Garbage overflowing in breakfast area.
