Is a small parador that combine hotel rooms with small or full size villa. Both types of villa comes with kitchen, micro wave, coffee maker, frigde, air conditioner and balcony. Prices are really nice. Is near Jobos beach that is use in the professional surfing circuit and others great beaches.
I spend one weekend in there, was awful! The first day we came, we wanted to go to the pool but it was so dirty!!! And we went to the beach near by.. when we came after that, the bedroom was so old, maintance was awful, the tv was old too, was a lot of humid and the smell was horrible... and in the bed was like a hole in there! There was no wifi and no signal!!!!!The only good thing is that cold the room and was near by everything!
For this past weekend 4th of July I spend the date in Isabela and after a couple of drinks, my husband and I decided to stay at Isabela and not drive home to keep us safe. We booked a room in Costa Dorada for $125 or $130 for one night, because it was the only place available in that busy weekend. The experience was horrible, this hotel should be closed, is extremely old, noooo maintenance, rooms are depressing, it looks like a property that was abandoned. The staff try to do their best, but you can see on their faces that they know that is the worst deal for a vacation, even for spending a night in my case. As a Puerto Rican I suggest to tourist please don't spend your vacation or a night in this horrible place, try airbnb or other hotels in the area like Villas del Mar Hau or even better Villa Montana or Royal Isabela this last two are expensive but beautiful hotels. As a frequent user of TripAdvisor for planning my vacation, I hope this review help you with your vacation planning!
Such a weird but large hotel. It looks more like a motel once you are inside. The room are just oddly put together, but for a one night stay it was okay. The service people in the entrance are very kind and understanding.
I always use TripAdvisor to read reviews, but this is the first one i write. Mainly because the experience was not good at all. The room was very humid, dirty, ugly view, old sheets and curtains, tv from the 80's, rusty, no ventilation in the bathroom, dusty, mold in the lamps, and to top it off, a COCKROACH crawled on the bed during the night. Awful experience. Will never return.
When I first stood here over 15 years ago, the place was a GEM, they had a lady named Myra Rubio, who was on top of things. Every year I go it gets worse and worse and worse. Ok here goes sliding doors to balcony are not really secure. Security is NON EXISTENT. rooms have NO TELEPHONE., CELL SIGNALS ARE NOT GOOD. Pool is nice, but no umbrellas, all the chairs are in really BAD SHAPE. POOL BAR CLOSED,. NO WATER OR SODA MACHINES AT ALL.,curtains are original from 15 years ago, fixtures all rusty, front desk never has an answer. No man on duty in the event something breaks after 4 pm.parking lot has very few lights, I bought into this time share when it first opened. Place is in chapter 11. Want to know the real scoop, e mail me at. Workwithme343@yahoo.com. Place needs a lot of TLC, LOCATION IS GREAT, BUT WHAT A SHAME. NO UPKEEP, NO UPKEEP.NOOOO UPKEEP, BEDS ARE WORN, SHEETS ROUGH AS SAND PAPER. NUFF SAID
It's a shame. The place is perfect for family vacation, but the maintenance is very poor. The personnel is great, very atentive and responsive. The rooms are completely abandoned, as is the rest of the place. From the moment you enter, you see the absence of any maintenance. It all looks old, as if you'd gone back in time to at least the 1980s. The pool area is nice, but they dont have any other services to offer there. Inside the rooms you have a kitchenette but even those need maintenance too. The shower curtains look soo old, and the bed comforters too. You don't feel safe. You have to do your own cleaning at the rooms. You dont have cell phone service in the bedrooms, and there are no telephones in the bedrooms to contact the front desk, nor is there wi-fi service. The TVs are from last century and you only have 3 or 4 channels. It's a disaster!! The place looks creepy at night, because the outdoor lamps are almost all out of service. I do not recommend this place at all.
Let me start by saying that this place must have been a beauty back in the early 2000's.. so run down, ot's so sad being in such a great location. We stayed at the villas which are much more decent that the resort itself. Everything is closed! Only 2 people are attending at one time( very nice though). Pool has a bar which is not in service. The beach access is locked so you can't acceas the beach. The 19in boxed tv from the 80's didn't work. No wi-fi... needless to say we cut our stay short and didn't even bother to ask for a refund.. I let the person at the reception know but oh well... with a little tlc this place would be great
This hotel seems like it was a top of the line place many years ago. It has a 19" tv (Flingstones Era TV), It has a coffee make, yet no coffee. I stayed on a monday and it looked like there was only two or three guests. Unpaved parking, had to carry two big luggages to a third floor (no elevator). The bed was as hard as a rock, very uncomfortable. The shower was not what you would expect (for a resort).
Horrible. The room was dirty, humidity was awful and stinky. We even found a toad in our cooler. No security, and at midnight someone knocked our door saying the it was security just to check if we were in our rooms! What!!! Not recommended, not going back.
