I loved yhe outlay of Resort! Buffet food! And varieties. One particular staff at reception shunned me when i asked her for my receipt as she said she will give it later and i was wondering why not same time when room paid for and money give why later?? So I definitely asked for it. Otherthan this everyone was great!! Rooms could use some upgrade.
1star hotel. Check inn was easy and fast. Housekeeping 5*. Nice beach area. Bartender in a outside bar -perfects . Small choice in buffet , You will Wait wine or beer in buffet forever.

I have been coming to Casa Marina for 10 years, and this time was disappointed at one of the rooms I was assigned. the air conditioning wasnt working properly, the water was cut off while my son was showering for 30 min, there werent beers at the rooms. The wi fi access had to be purchased, and had to get one for each device. when traveling with kids this is not practical because the front desk staff had to do it in each equipment, which required we go to the room and get them. Maybe include this in the hotel information to ease the process

Property is good, Check-in was a complete mess where some people were seated and called later while you wait in line and they come up first. this created friction between Customers, and employees. When we entered the room, bed sheets were dirty with stains and hair. looks like it wasn't properly cleaned. same for floor. Also many local people with noise. we booked a "quite" Oceanview room, but people making loud noise on near beach even after 2AM. The rest was Okay.
Orbitz service was so awful That it rose to the level of Theft. Even after Hours on the phone in an attempt to address a mistake orbitz had made they were of no help. I wrote a dozen emails to avail. The service agents rude and patronizing. I believe my only alternative Are used to hire an attorney and address this matter through our legal system.
Avoid this place. I can't believe Orbitz allows this to list above 1 or 2 stars. I won't book with Orbitz for a while because of this stay. Total of three nights, no hot water for two of them, no a/c for two of them. It gets worse. Extremely low flow toilets flush (maybe) one of three times, so plan to spend 15 minutes a day on this activity or go elsewhere on the property. Wifi only works when standing outside or on the veranda in your room. I ended up with malware on my computer.The sheets are thin and quite worn. Pillows are from 1992. The bathroom in the first room had clearly been been used/violated before I checked in and not cleaned (or sanitized, so the rest of the room?). Food was ok at best and only one restaurant. The only coffee served on the property is bulk jar freeze-dried Nescafe. TV? Good luck! All-inclusive, except for the safety deposit box which costs extra and isn't big enough for a laptop. Not enough currency available for an exchange of $100 on 3 separate times. Employees are friendly, but this place clearly has zero management. None onsite, likely remote but maybe not at all. Staff are doing the best they can but this place was a total rip-off. This place is worn out, needs a full update. Not quite as bad as Playabachata (run from that place, even for free) but approaching. Caveat emptor: If you are looking for a cheapish place with mediocre food and unlimited sugary premixed rum drinks this is your place. If not, spend your money elsewhere.

A total disappointment. After reviewing the mixed reviews, i wanted to give this resort a try. . Check in was a total chaos. Food was horrible and the service was lousy. The air conditioner in the room wasn’t working and I called several times ti report it. No one came to check it. The service at the buffet area was horrible. Although I didn’t drink anything i noticed the lack of bars all over. No irons in the room. The beds were too small And uncomfortable. No courtesy from staff.
Nice, clean pools and three Jacuzzi's. Food was very good, liked two bars situated on coral cliffs over looking the ocean. Upgraded room was comfortable. Resort is compact and easy to navigate and you have the ability to walk outside the resort in to the town for shopping, souvenirs, dining out or a few drinks.
Need to have better food. The place is beautifull. Staff is nice.
