Front desk person was awesome I checked in 30 minutes early she was fun and upbeat. Location is just far enough outside of town not to be near the crowd but there is a shuttle as well as pedi cabs if you don’t want to deal with parking downtown.

We often travel to Provincetown from Providence for a night or two, and often stay at the Sandcastle Resort, which is excellent for an inexpensive yet comfortable getaway. The studio apartment is well designed and efficient. The murphy bed is comfortable. We upgraded to a beach view and enjoyed a magnificent sunset.

Checked into an unfriendly hostess. Was walked in by cleaning staff. who didn’t even knock upon entering. checkout was scheduled for 10 AM! was walked in at 9:25am while I was getting ready to leave. couch in the room was also covered in about an inch of dust. so I had to use my lawn chairs to sit.

The room wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped. There was some kind of sugar/salt on top of refrig that clearly wasn’t cleaned. Dust in all corners. We were nervous about the blanket on the bed as I doubt they change and clean them between guests so put sheets in between it. Wish they didn’t have a rug & just had a floor (to wash easier). We refused to walk on rug bare foot. The sink and shower were clean but the hardware and floor of the bathtub were worn. We stayed on 3rd floor looking over pool with a little beach view. I would not stay here again. The listing said 3 minutes from the center of town. You need to drive those 3 minutes. We thought we could walk. However, the free local bus took us so wasn’t too bad. Walls are VERY thin. We went in Sept when it’s slower but I could imagine in the heart of summer busy months, you would have a hard time sleeping in silence. Staff friendly, but not on site 24/7. Also, if you like to camp outdoors and sleep in a tent on the ground, then you’re prepared for the mattress here. I ignored the reviews but will say it was the hardest most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on.

Location was great; right on the beach, walking distance to all the local down town shops! Very pretty and welcoming community. Hotel, not unpleasant, but could have been cleaner (floors were not swept at all), outdated amenities & chipping paint in bathroom, but you get what you pay for.

Our only complaint is that there is no full length mirror and there's many options to put one in. The beds are very comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised to find that there are 2 bathrooms.

The Sand Castle Hotel was barely livable. It is shabby and run down. The carpet and furniture is dirty and probably 30 years old. The windows do not open, so no fresh air and it's a safety hazard. I do not recommend.

What a disappointing experience staying at this resort. Truly still waiting to receive a refund, experienced discrimination, bullying, name calling, harassment and it was just the worst. Only highlight was the main concierge lady, a Colombian older woman with a tattoo- she was the sweetest.

Timeshares and could be cleaner

This was a pleasant stay. The room was fine, not entirely clean - the baseboards had not been wiped down, and I doubt the square Sandcastle yellow pillows had been washed, ever? I was surprised that there was construction and renovation happening, and learned that a number of the units are timeshares, so that was unexpected. The indoor pool was wonderful, and access to the beach very convenient.
