We’ve just spent three nights at this charming hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. We were given rm 167 which despite being next to the elevator was lovely and quiet....and of a good size. There’s a well stocked minibar. Breakfast was included and they provided a decent selection of hot and cold food. We found the location perfect for all the main sights and there’s a lovely square just a few minutes walk away where we’d stop and enjoy a drink on the way back every evening. Only thing we would have liked would be a pool to cool off in after walking all day. We’d stay at Hotel Cervantes again, no problem.
My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Cervantes from the 7th to the 13th of October. The hotel is ideally situated for visiting all the sights of Seville. It is also next door to Alameda de Hercules which comes alive at night with its many restaurants and bars. Our room was very good with a free safety deposit box and excellent air conditioning( very much needed as the temperatures were in the 30s). The room was extremely clean and our cleaning lady was most pleasant. The staff at reception were extremely pleasant and always willing to answer our many questions. Breakfast were good and my wife managed to get her gluten free bread and biscuits. Breakfast staff were very pleasant with the exception of a person called Jacob. He was extremely officious and was very rude and unpleasant to those having breakfast. He demanded that you sit where he wanted you to sit and not where you wanted to sit. We witnessed him shouting at a lady as she didn’t know how to use the toaster. He does need to improve as he lets down an otherwise excellent hotel with excellent staff.
Love the place ! We spend 3 nights. Small street in a perfect location. Lots of stuff to do near by. We recommend this hotel ! We definitely be here when returning. Our first time in Seville and it is wonderful !
This is an older type hotel that has Moorish influences, such as two interior courtyards where you can sit and enjoy a hot drink when the smokers aren't around! The rooms were quite a nice size and clean. The beds were comfy as were the pillows. I say beds as we managed to get two beds that were pushed together. We had asked for a double bed, not a twin, so maybe we got what we asked. There is shampoo only with a nice touch of a small packet of tissues to take with you. There is a hairdryer, but no safe. Our room had blankets, but the room that our friend's had didn't. They were a bit cold. The nice thing was that we were able to access free coffee. The wifi was spasmodic. Sometimes it worked incredibly well and at other times we couldn't get on to it at all. The curtains were fantastic and provided total block out. There were newspapers to read in quite a few languages and they could be read in the courtyards or inner room. The staff were all very friendly without being intrusive.
Booked for 4 nights. Good location and a pleasant building. However, given a room on the ground floor on the main street and next to the underground car park. The room would be classed as a single as very small and we were travelling as a couple. Had to squeeze between the bed and the sofa to get around the room. The other issue was the noise from the street and the car park together with the amount of footfall outside our room, so very little sleep..... The hotel did agree to change the room the next day but did refuse first option as no window and overlooked inner courtyard which could be noisy at times. The room we opted for was much better but if I am honest, I would look for an alternative hotel for any future visit to Seville. Breakfast is expensive so would recommend going to any of the local cafes for breakfast - plenty to choose from and within walking distance.
Hidden down a quiet side street called "Cervantes" this hotel is really nice. Quaint with an ambiance of Spain,it has a lovely courtyard inside with a small fountain. The housekeeping does a fantastic job keeping the rooms and the property spotlessly clean. The room was more than adequate and it was so nice and quiet we slept well. I have bad hips and I found the bed very comfortable. It is situated so that it is a very short walk to restaurants and the main attractions. The location for me was excellent.
The Good This is a delightful hotel, within easy walking distance of most of the attractions. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful The not so good Breakfast was very, very average. Parking was a little expensive, €19 for one night, but just about worth it given the location in the centre of Seville
This hotel is in a good location close to the town centre and nearby bars and restaurants. It is a pleasant building but is starting to look tired and dated. Our bedroom on the second floor was very small and the furniture was old and basic. There is barely enough room to walk between the end of the bed and the wardrobe in order to get into the bathroom. The aircon was adequate. Staff were helpful especially when advising about the car park which is situated below ground level and accessible only by lift. If you don't know the exact width of your car, have a large car or aren't a confident driver - then give this car park a miss. It is a very tight area to manoeuvre a car. Don't think I'll rush to stay here again but location is on its favour.
The hotel is in a quiet street at walking distance from the cathedral, La Giralda, the Museo of Bellas Artes, Plaza d'Espana, Parque de María Luisa and others. People at the reception are very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The Cervantes hotel is located 10 minutes walk to the main shopping area and no more than 15 minutes to the historic old town where you will find the fabulous cathedral and Real Alcazar. The hotel was larger than expected with nice courtyards to relax while waiting for others to get ready. The room was of average size; two comfortable single beds, bathroom was clean and there was a small balcony. The Aircon was very much needed and nice when returning from a days adventuring in 40C heat. Being at the front of the hotel was not an issue as the road is quiet, courtyard rooms could possibly have an issue with noise. We did not have breakfast so I cannot comment, tea and coffee provided nearby is free and available all day. Overall an adequate hotel and highly recommended.
