Bed & Breakfast Naranjo1.0 out of 5.0

Situated 500 metres from the bus and rail station, it is in an excellent location. The little old towns winding streets can be a bit confusing , but the reception staff were very helpful, supplying a map and instructions. 15 minutes walk to the cathedral area and we found everything else we wanted to see within 15 minutes walk from that point. e.g. Plaza de Espana . The rooms are small, but clean , with most having windows onto the stair well. But a/c was provided and we were allowed to leave it on while we were out, a bonus as our visit was in july and the temperature was up to 39!! The shower was good and nice towels. Breakfast was more than adequate, a self service choice and value for money. Wi fi was good and is now throughout the whole of the property.
Nice place to stay in the centre of Sevilla with an amazing rooftop terrace! Don't have too many expectations for the breakfast as it will be very basic and Spanish style -altough they pretend it to be continental- with magdalenas, bread with different stuff to put on it (jam, cheese, ham) -nutella/chocolate was missing-, unattractive food salad, very sweet and industrial-like fruit juice, etc. We are used to drink very good coffee and we thought theirs was quite bad. Disappointing breakfast for a stay of 112.00€ per night! Strengths: - Large and spacious room - Nice rooftop terrace - Location: very central - The day of departure you can leave your suitcase for the day for free - Reliable wifi - Reception 24h/24 - Late check-out - Typical Andalusian house with a patio: I personally love this style! Weaknesses: - Breakfast: not very continental, very basic and not attractive / on the pictures it seemed we could have breakfast on the rooftop terrace - wrong / 08-10h too early for us, until 11h would have been great - Walls are very thin and you can hear noise very easily (bring earplugs) - Staff not as friendly for a B&B, they are ok but I was expecting them to be more welcoming and chatty - Very small double bed: it seemed smaller than 1m40...
Just spent 2 days in Sevilla and stayed at this B&B. It's situated in an authentic building in a barton street iright in the center of town. Everything is within walking distance. Super. Staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help you or give you tips. My room was a single, nothing fancy but everything you need. Yes it was a little daten but it was clean and served its purpose. The only negative about this particular room was the fact that because of its location on the inside of the building, it did not have daylight. On a positive note...nice and cool as a result. On top of that, the room come with AC too. For one night, no problem.... Breakfast was more than enough, no hot dishes but lots of other items. The hotel also offers free coffee or tea in the afternoon... In short, wonderful staff and location for good value.
I booked through booking.com and it was around €350 for the week I was there. The room was basic but pleasant: a double bed, a twin bed that seemed to be functioning as a "couch," a dresser, and a bathroom with shower. Breakfast was free and from 8:00-10:00. There was a small variety of breads, lunchmeat & slices of cheese, pineapple, yogurt, cereals, and a coffee machine. The lobby offered free wifi in the lobby, but not in the rooms- this was okay but not really ideal for a solo traveler like me. The staff was friendly and the location was good. Right next to the fine art museum, and the short (15 min) walk to the city center was pleasant. If you can find the river, you can't get lost :)
Just returned from visiting a family member in Seville and stayed for the second time at the Bed and Breakfast Naranjo, the main reason we stay at this small hotel is that it is close to all places you want to visit, the main centre is just a ten minute walk away with all the shops and bustling nightlife, the cultural quarter with the Cathedral and Alkazar is a further 5 minutes away also a cold buffet breakfast is included in the price, the hotel is clean and well maintained, would visit again.
We booked a double, turned up and after traipsing up to the third floor found out we had a triple, with noboption of pushing the beds together! Managed to get it changed to a double, but this was an internal room with a "window" opening onto an internal corridor. The air con didn't work, and the room was akin to your own personal sauna, great if you fancied dropping a few inches in sweat loss but not really my cup of tea (each to their own)! We asked for it to be fixed and were assured this would be done by the lovely English speaking receptionist. We went out for a look around came back and it hadn't been done. The person that deals with these issues was there and the new (non English speaking) receptionist sent him up to check after I asked for help. He went up said he fixed it, it then broke 5 minutes later! At this point fearing we'd melt, asked if we could have our original room. That had gone. We asked about somewhere else. So she recommended another hotel and phoned them on our behalf. Trip advisor says it was 3.5 stairs and the one we were staying in was 4.5 stars. Trying to explain the trip advisor rating system wasn't going anywhere as she was adamant both were only 1 star, and even at one point was unsure what trip advisor was! Irony is rather amusing at this point! We left and went to the other one, which was more basic with single beds, which we could at least push together and it had a balcony and working aircon. Would I recommend the Naranjo hotel. Not at this juncture. You need to sort out your layout or have the decency to tell people about internal rooms (207) and also sort out your aircon. For the €50 you charge online (amusingly €180 advertised at the front desk!) less than a weeks rental will repair or replace the unit. A positive was the bathroom appeared newly refurbished. Better luck next time!
Stayed there for a couple of nights. It is an apartment building converted into a hotel. There was a (decent) breakfast included. The location is great in terms of sightseeing but is a bit tough to get there by car since it is located on a very narrow one way street. The parking for which the hotel provides a discount is about 7-8 mins walking distance from the hotel. The WiFi in the hotel is spotty and unreliable. The rooms are OK, but there is a small (16-18"?) old cathode ray tube TV in each room that not only makes the room like a cheap motel room from the 60-s but is a health hazard. The wall mount for that TV is at about eye level (for an adult) and I managed to hit it with my head at least twice while there. Please remove these things from the rooms or get a flat ones and remove these horrible wall mounts !
The location was great, but our room did not have a window, and was very claustrophobic. I couldn't sleep. I asked to change room was told it is all booked. They should informed the guests that some rooms do not have windows before booking. the room was very small and the lack of Windows made it even smaller.
this hostal is very close to the fine art museum. It has no lift just stairs! Wifi is iffy except at reception! Breakfast was okay but could be better. The staff are very helpful especially when trying to find places on the map!! May be hard to find at night! So eat nearby.
Had a 3 bed room for 2 nights. The room was very basic, ok for sleep only. Ok bathroom with shower that worked fine. No elevator, steep stairs. Friendly and informative welcome on first night, but quite unfriendly receptionist the following day. No wifi in room, only in reception and in breakfast area that was adjacent to the reception. When we tried to use the internet in this area one night (because the small reception were crowded) we were not allowed Access, and thus could not book Our next hotel before leaving. Breakfast was basic, but adequate for this type of hotel. Very good location.
