Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, Prague5.0 out of 5.0

True enough, one expects nothing less than an excellent experience from a Radisson Blu hotel, but the Prague Alcron was simply the best! There is a unique and rather intimate feeling with this hotel. The staff and overall service was particularly outstanding! Everyone from the lobby, restaurant and cleaning staff, were all so friendly and helpful! The front desk was always eager to assist in any way, from restaurant recommendations to hair salons. And as a solo traveller, this is greatly valued. The breakfast was above average and the dining in either of the two restaurants was superbe. I truly loved the beautiful award winning "art deco" décor of the hotel. The room itself was not only elegant, in keeping with the art deco theme, but one of the most perfect rooms I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was well designed for space, the bed was extremely comfortable, the furniture was not cumbersome, there was lots of storage space for clothes and it was extremely quiet. And what a treat to actually see photos of the city on the bedroom walls instead of generic pop art! I found the gym very inviting. It was bright and located on the second floor with windows. As for location, the hotel is near a major square and within walking distance to the old historic town. I plan to return to Prague in the near future and will do so only with a stay at the Radisson Blu Alcron! I want to further compliment Zbysek (guest relations manager), Andrew, Matej, Lucie, and Barbara, all at the front desk, and my fabulous porters, Martin and Frank, for making my stay in Prague extra special!
One expects a certain standard at a Radisson Bly and this hotel does not dissapoint. I, once again, relied on reviews of the hotel on trip advisor and can confirm that the positive reviews are accurate. What makes this hotel stand out for me, is the staff and service they provide....they all seemed happy to working at the hotel, proud of their beautiful city and very willing to assist in every way. I enjoyed the room even though there wasn't much of view from the window. Breakfast was at the expected high standard in an elegantly decorated dinning area. The hotel is also conveniently located and a short walk from the old town attractions.
Ive been traveling a lot to Prague in the last years and I've stayed a few times in Radisson blu . The hotel have a great location walking distance to every point in the center aria a lot of restaurants and coffee shops around also a Starbucks 20 meters away on the corner. The rooms are good ask for the view before check in (the inside one is nor very peasant), the beds are really comfy and the design is nice . So far i still didn't try the restaurant i have a few favorites in the city for this i always ended eating out but the cocktails in the lobby bar are the best in Prague they are so delicious and made with a lot of imagination so this is a must if you ate staying there if you order all of them you will not regretted they are all perfect!
Hotel staff were all very attentive to our needs and we were always provided assistance promptly and courteously whenever we needed. The room was very well furnished, great bed, bathroom is very nice, and everything were maintained to be always clean and meticulously placed in order. Suffice it to say, we had a great hotel experience.
The hotel is in a great location. The staff was amazing, rooms beautiful and the restaurants in the hotel outstanding . The staff was 100% available and helpful for any questions or needs during the stay.
Friendly helpful staff. Received an upgrade to the top floor. Quiet room, nice facilities. Had to call the room service for a couple of reasons. Always friendly and helpful. A bit old but still in good shape. Stayed there for business reasons. Will stay again. Thank you for a great stay and good service.
Restaurants the best in Prague, you'll be hard pressed to find better. Rooms are clean and well equipped, everything was as you'd expect for a 5 Star. Only tiny little thing was the iron I requested from reception was not great. However I've yet to be in a hotel where the iron was good. I 100% recommend staying at the Radisson blue Prague. You won't regret the experience. Just make sure you have dinner here.
My husband and I visited Prague for a short trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Blu Alcron. We don't usually spend so much time in our hotel on holidays, but because of a late arrival and departure, managed to try both restaurants and the bar. The service, the food and the drinks were all excellent! We arrived late on Sunday night to find they had upgraded us to a Junior Suite. The suite was very spacious and had all the luxuries - complimentary water, robes, slippers, Molton Brown toilettries... Not only was the upgrade amazing, but they also arranged for a very late checkout for us on the day of our departure. The staff really do everything they can to provide 5-star service - nothing seems too much. Because of our late arrival, we opted to eat at the hotel. As the Michelin-starred Restaurant Alcron is closed on Sundays, we ate at La Rotonde. We really enjoyed our dinner and the service was impeccable. We asked reception for an available table at Restaurant Alcron during our stay and we managed to get a lunch reservation on our last day - on such short notice! Now about Restaurant Alcron. We were told that this is one of only three Michelin-star restaurants in all of Prague. The restaurant is small - maybe about 10 tables or less, so it feels quite intimate. They only offer a Degustation/Tasting Menu and we took the wine pairing with. Our server, Pavol, patiently explained every course, amuse bouche and wine to us with insight and an obvious passion. It turns out that Pavol is not only a server but actually a Sommelier - very impressive! The food was an unbelievable dream!!! One of the best meals we have both ever experienced. Our only complaint is that we didn't have time to try everything - our own fault as we changed our reso time for an hour later - we know better for next time! After our long, late lunch we decided to have a drink at the Be Bop bar while waiting for our airport transfer. The bar was stocked with a good range of single malts - which is not easy to find. Both bartenders we had spoken to had an extensive knowledge of whiskies as one had toured distilleries is Scotland and the other in Ireland. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun waiting for our transfer! Prague is such a beautiful city full of history and character. The hotel was not only our perfect base to explore such a cool city, but really added to our experience and our visit wouldn't have been the same if we stayed anywhere else. Thank you everyone at Radisson Blu Alcron, we will definitely be back!!!
Perfectly well located. Nice and quiet room (business room) Breakfast is a killer and food (dinner) very good Concierge does everything he/she can do to help and have very good advice Service is always perfect I strongly recommend this hotel
On day 1 at the hotel, my husband said, "this is the best customer service I've ever recieved." The staff were exceptional - they gave little presents to my 3 year old, helped us tremendously with places to visit and eat and went out of their way to make our trip very comfortable. What really stood out for me was something else though! I left one of my very valuable things at the hotel and only realised when we got back to London! I called them, spoke to Mariana the next morning and they had kept it safely for me and actually sent it back to me! I could not believe I got it back! Beyond exceptional customer service!
