Wasn't the best place i have stayed at. Bed was ok check in was good check out took forever. Didn't owe for any extras either. Clerk was helping another person and was supper slow.

I just stayed the night, but the staff was nice. It was quiet and I enjoyed my stay.

Disappointed...the pool wasn't up to code. Had to work in my room instead of poolside.

It was okay. Cordial and polite staff.. they had a swimming pool, but it was locked.

Very basic hotel. Near downtown new paltz. Clean. Hot water. Breakfast was nothing more than some bagels and coffee and banana so don't rely on it for a filling meal. Our neighbor was smoking outside and we could smell it in our room but otherwise we were undisturbed. Yeah there's a strip club next door but that didn't make me feel unsafe.

I spent 3 nights here recently -- i was on holiday exploring the Catskills and nearby lakes and woods. Just wanted a decent, clean roof over my head at a reasonable price. Well, I'd say I got more than that. Everything was very clean and in good running order. No issues with other guests (I was there during weekdays). Price was very reasonable for the area and quality. I am often amused by some peoples comments in these things. The name of the motel is "Econolodge" not "The Ritz." Lastly, nice group of folks seemed to be running the show. I'll be back!

I would defenetly go back! Very clean! Nice staff! Convinient

Room smelled like an electrical fire and had a ragged edge. Floor soft in places and felt like you could fall through any second. Room clean and bed comfortable. Shower head and pressure poor. Hand sink had hot and cold backwards. Whole place needs some work.

This was an excellent place to stop in overnight for a quick stay while driving through! Clean, inexpensive, comfortable place to stay for the night!

The floor lamp did not work because the outlet did not function. There was a large stain on the wall. The air-conditioning unit was dirty: it took several hours for the smell from it to subside. Water in the bathroom had a "sewage" smell.

It's your average lack luster motel. New Paltz is small so the location is close enough to everything. I just don't understand where they get off charging so much for a motel.

Needed a place to stay while in town for 1 night, the room smelled Horrible, even after i sprayed lysol, young adults next door and downstairs noisy all night, no coffee left for continental breakfastat 8:30 in the morning.

sleep

Not much to look at from the outside, but the rooms are clean. Decent stay. You get exactly what you pay for.

Poor workmanship in the repair and remodeling work... does not meet the Econo lodge standard and cost that I am use too.... Front desk.... poor attitude cont. breakfast... semi clean, quality was low end.

GOT TO SEE FAMILY. NOTHING TO DO AT HOTEL. VERY LOW ON MY LIST.

The Econo Lodge at New Paltz was just OK. A funky door and paper thin walls and ceiling ensured a good listen to the neighbors. The water faucets ran opposite from the normal set up. Other than that, it was a roof over our heads and a bed to sleep. The price was pretty inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.
