Subject: Disappointing Stay - Convenient Location, But Major Flaws My recent overnight stay at this hotel was, unfortunately, a letdown despite its convenient location for the cruise port. While the proximity is a major plus, the significant comfort issues made for a very poor experience. The room was hot and humid, a major problem exacerbated by the fact that the air conditioning was non-functional. To make matters worse, the windows did not open, leaving no way to ventilate the room. The only relief was a small, dirty fan, which did little to circulate the stifling air. For a hotel stay, particularly one paid at full price, a comfortable room temperature is a basic expectation. It was frustrating that no discount was offered for this major inconvenience, with the only compensation being a couple of cans of water. The included breakfast was equally disappointing. At 8:30 AM, the food was already of poor quality. The sausages were overcooked and seemed to have been sitting on a warmer for a long time, while the scrambled eggs were watery and unappetizing. The coffee had a burnt taste, making it difficult to enjoy. It's clear that this hotel's primary business comes from its location near the cruise port. However, it's a shame that it seems to be resting on that one advantage without investing in guest comfort. IHG should consider investing in this property to bring it up to the standard expected of the brand. I would not recommend this hotel for anyt

Apart from the car parking being underground, distant, and safe access to it meant carrying luggage through a busy shopping mall, the hotel itself was very pleasant. Clean and comfortable, with an excellent buffet-style breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had chosen to stay there as it was dog friendly.

Not to Holiday Inn standards.

The hotel’s AC was not working. We were never notified of this and apparently it has been out of service for over a week now. I found lots of long hair, both in the bathroom as well as in my bed. That was disturbing. They also did not issue washcloths for the shower and were told to use the larger hand towels.

Overall Good Place to stay

It was a large room but definitely could do with a bit of tlc to upgrade it into something more modern. The bathroom was the only thing that let it it down a bit and could do with a really good scrub. It has an ideal location to the Harbour and for the Outlet Mall.

No air con but good stay otherwise.

No aircon which was fully explained at check in. Free water and ice cream as compensation. However we had to keep the window open throughout the night to keep cool and as we were situated opposite the casino we were both awaken at 5am due to drunk idiots coming out of the casino. This is not the hotels fault but due to the air conditioning not working caused the issue.

To be honest didn't know what to expect, heard a lot of bad press about Holiday Inn It was really nice, lots of breakfast options Partner was particularly impressed with the Gluten Free toaster, some people would laugh, but we have never seen one in any hotel yet!! Nice clean room, comfy bed and toiletries in the bathroom Would definitely stay here again, especially with its position on the Gunwharf Quays

Loved our stay.

Stayed here to go to Victorious. The air con wasn’t working but we were supplied with water and free ice cream! Luckily it wasn’t as hot as it had been and the lack of air con wasn’t a problem. We very rarely use it anyway. The free breakfast was excellent. We have been spoilt and hubby wants to stay there again next year. Loved the surrounding areas and the 10% discount to use at All Bar One and outlet shops.

Great location for the train station, shops and harbour. Surprisingly good breakfast. Lovely touch having a small area for kids with colouring pens and games. We had a room facing the front and it was a bit noisy - we heard music, people coming out of restaurants and the bins being emptied in the morning.

Went for a shopping trip to the quays before visiting friends. The hotel is very clean and convenient for the shops. Parking and discount deals very good, and the staff we dealt with couldn't be more friendly and helpful.
