I really hate to give a bad review but in this case I cannot give a good one. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, 3rd floor. Great location but definitely not clean. I don't mind an older place but this was just grubby. When we arrived there was a rotten watermelon, a half a bottle of wine and half empty water bottles in the fridge. There was an ashtray full of cigarette butts on the balcony. I cleaned up and my son called the office to let them know. They blamed it on housekeeping staff, which of course is true but ultimately the owners are responsible. The worst part is, they came the next day and left towels but never emptied the garbage! So, not only did we have the previous guests garbage, we had ours for another day too. Gross. On the plus side, it is really close to the beach but on a very quiet street. Great location but needs a good scrubbing!
We had a lovely overnight stay at the Breakers by the Sea towards the end of August. The folks who checked us in were extremely kind; "Stephen" walked us out, showed us where to park, and walked us to our room. He was friendly and willing to help us in any way. Our room and bathroom were a good size, everything was clean, beds and pillows were fairly comfortable, and we had a great view of the ocean from our deck. The hotel is located towards the end of the beachfront, past the Ashworth, so we found it to be very quiet. We didn't mind walking to the action further down the boardwalk. We will definitely stay here again.
The people running the place are nice and the place is very cute but it didn't seem like it was cleaned very good and if you want to go on ur balcony then u don't have any privacy and it pretty much smells like smoke from the ash tray on ur table to ur smoker neighbors.
Owners were really nice. Priscilla spoke a little bit french for us knowing we were rom Quebec. I asked her if she could reserve a table at a restaurant for us and she did. The room was clean. The location was good especially if you want to be near the beach and don’t want to much people around. It was my first time in Hampton beach. Would recommand this place.
I stayed over two weeks ago on a Wednesday and Thursday evening. It was an impromptu trip. I scheduled the reservation on hotels .com After making the res I got a call 10 minutes later from Stephen. I had made a mistake upon entering my credit card. Stephen was very pro-active reaching out as quickly as he did. When I got to Breakers I found the staff very helpful! I was escorted to my room by Stephen and he checked the room and adjusted the AC for me. Very clean and a lot of character. This place is probably one of the older places on the strip so it is architecturally unique. If you like cookie cutter rooms and don't like character this is not the place for you. But if you want a clean room with friendly staff at a great location for a great price check it out. The location of breakers is at the end of the sand on the north end of the beach. It's a short walk to the water and about 6-10 minute walk to the main attractions at the center of the strip, which is nice because it is so much more quiet on the north end. Additionally there are some great places to eat on this end of the beach! I found it quite charming and loved my stay. Or go pay a hundred more a night elsewhere for a cookie cutter room with no character. Blah.
We arrived early on the 3rd of July. We anticipated traffic but we got there at 12:30 (check in isn't till 2). They were nice enough to check us in early, which was like having a whole extra day there! Check in was easy and the staff is so nice. Other motels in the area tend to see young people and be kind of rude, but they didn't judge! The motel is a little out of the way if you are spoiled like me and used to staying in the middle of all the action, but I would stay here again for the price and it's still technically on the strip. It's a nice walk to the restaurants and shopping and the beach is literally across the street!! The room was clean. The mattress was terrible, I'm not gunna lie, but I feel like that's just Hampton, Lol. It was a very cute place and also had a kitchenette which is always great. Next time I will book a room with a balcony!
Overall not too bad, but probably priced a bit high. Going through renovations currently. Owners were very nice, and engaged in great conversation. Accidentally left a charger in the room and they called me in a timely manner so I could still snag it before heading home. Would love to check it out after renovations are complete. Pros -- good location and easy to get to beach Cons -- really only 2 rooms have an ocean view, and parking is inconvenient if there are several of you with lots of luggage.
Great experience and very tidy property. You can tell they care very much. Family operated. Everyone was very attentive My room was very comfortable, clean and roomy. Our balcony had a great view of the ocean..And lots of included extras, like stove full fridge plates cookware etc. Great location, Ill be back for sure.
My family and I stayed here for a week. Priscilla in office is extremely knowledgable and friendly. Both of our rooms were very clean and comfortable . We come every year and we're never dissapointed. A++
Had a reservation for Sat into Sunday; hotel called during week to confirm reservation and time of check in; all was ok then; get to hotel to check in find out room was overbooked. had reservation for a deluxe room with balcony over looking the beach; room was given away; two other couples were checking in at same time. tried to give us another room at a cheaper rate; room was not what i wanted; no view of beach, just gross; girl at check in desk unprofessional, another couple went to another hotel after girl called several hotels for vacancy..just would not recommend this hotel at all, should have followed first instincts on other reviews with hotel being dirty..
