Checked in on Friday for a 3 night stay. Our heater in the room stopped working on Saturday and was on air conditioner. Reported it, maintenance came, looked at it, said it needed a part, brought us a portable heater and said he would fix it the next day. We were not overly comfortable with a portable heater in the room, but at least it wasn't freezing cold - and I do mean freezing cold. By Sunday evening, no one had come to fix the heater and at least to let us know what was up. Went to the desk, the front desk person had the maintenance guy come out (which only she could talk to because he was foreign). He gave us some crock of bull story of why he couldn't fix it that day - one being he had to take the whole unit off with the wall along with the wall paper and didn't want to make a mess while were were there - my husband is a facilities director at a school - the unit did not need to be taken off the wall. He could have fixed it himself with the right part. We asked for some kind of restitution for all this mess. The woman said that because we had prepaid, she couldn't do that - seriously?! She offered to give us a different room. For the 12 hours we had left to stay there, it didn't seem worth the effort. We stuck it out, got up early, had the most awful breakfast (too much to mention both) and left. So basically, the stay was terrible. Also, there were storage containers all around the property. All different colors, dumpy and rusty!
