Older hotel that shows its age but can't beat the location. Beware only valet parking which adds $25 and resort fee in season of $15. Worth for the location but may have equally cost options to consider

Front desk gave the key and room number at check in that went to a room that was already occupied. That was awkward walking in on someone. The room had a pull out couch yet that was awful. To make it worse there were no blankets, sheets, pillows for the pull out. Parking is pricey. Nice to be right on the beach though.
The room wasn’t the cleanest. The paint was chipping on the ceiling and the furniture was dinged. The elevator was very bumpy and loud. I only saw an employee when checking in and out. There was no one around the rest of my stay.

Nothing to say about what I liked, staff wasnt great, paid for parking my own vehicle, had to give them my keys and was not given them back until the stay was over. Wall paper peeling off of the wall, room was small for the price, was charged extra fees due to not booking directly through them. Will never stay again

I liked proximity to the beach. I didn’t like the extra charges $20/ day (resort fee) what am I actually paying for? And $25/day for parking. Fancy extras without the fancy. Our room was disgustingly humid (leaky refrigerator?) A/C was not working well (refrigerator exhaust going into A/C intake). The bathroom drains were slow and made showering not very pleasant. No clock or telephone in the room. Sliding door handle broken off before arrival. A cup of cigarette butts on the balcony. I thought I was getting one room and got a different one (paid extra for what??) photos when choosing were not even remotely similar to room. I knew i didn’t want the same room as last time and that is what I got. I was in older part of the building I want to see what newer part is like. I will most likely call hotel directly and confirm my room location before booking.
The property was supposed to be smoke free and our room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The room was dated and it didn't feel completely clean. The walls were also very thin between rooms and you could hear the people in the next room. Even had the person in the next room yell and swear at us for just talking in normal voices in the morning when we woke up, which was upsetting to us and our children. The proximity to the beach and to all the attractions was good. Was not worth the money we paid and will not stay there again.
Great location. They need a vacuum that actually works, carpets were very dirty.

Thank you for you honesty in your review. We have a historical tower that was built in 1914 and another tower build in the 1980's. We are currently going through a remodel and with the shipping delays are still waiting on much of the furniture to come in. We hope that the next time you visit we are able to better meet your expectations.
