This hotel is not located anyway near the old city but Uber brings you to the historical core in minutes. But thrn the hotel is large and spacious and doubt there is any large hotel in historical core. We stayed in 2 interconnected junior suites. Rooms are fair for jnr suites. Good soft beds and good water pressure. Everything works except room seems to hv a lack of overhead lighting so appears a bit dark to do much serious work. Buffet bfast was lavish. Gym was adequate for a hotel of this category. Staff were hekpful and responsive. There is a lavandaria at Green Ctr across the road that charges euro5 for each kg of wash and fold laundry. Very useful and convenient.
Very nice hotel, clean and have good location The staff is very helpful and friendly Assist me a lot in tracing my lost bagage While Dinner at the hotel was REALLY good and service was exceptional, breakfast was an average and start at 07:00 which is a bit late for business travelers Will definitely stay there again
Staff were lovely, rooms were clean and beds were VERY comfortable. Plenty of vegetarian options at breakfast. Probably a little far from Porto town but public transport/cabs make it easy to get in. Generally had a great stay!
My experience for a short stay in the Hotel was wonderful right from check in to check out. The check in and check out was very professionally handled and was impressive. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. Restaurant served very delicious food and the staff was very professional. Room was very neat and clean with good amenities. The overall stay was an excellent experience ! Keep it up !
We had a five night stay here. The mini suite was excellent. Comfortable bed, large plasma screen television, well stocked mini bar, kettle with coffee, tea, milk and biscuits. Very clean bathroom with shower/bath, toilet and bidet, large extended mirror with wash basin and toiletries. Many other items in the specification and a quiet room on the 8th floor overlooking the front of the hotel. Local service buses taking you to the city centre stopped just yards from the hotel. The hop-on-hop-off buses stopped about 100 yards from the hotel. The hotel even provided a free shuttle bus to the most prestigious shopping centre in Porto. The food in the restaurant was of a very high quality indeed and the staff were extremely helpful both in the restaurant and the reception.
We stayed here for 3 nights with a group tour. The hotel staff were very friendly. They are doing some remodeling so we were shuffled around for breakfasts as a request from our tour manager. The included breakfast wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Porto!
a excellent hotel, very nice rooms, very good location, good facilities, food needs improvement. great location and very easy to get around the city. Agrat and very interesting city to see, understand an enjoy/
Being my first solo trip in a while I was a little nervous but the staff at the hotel were lovely. They upgraded me, gave me some Port and lots of helpful tips on what to see and do. The hotel is a little way out for central Porto, I walked on the first two days but afterwards discovered the metro station was nearby and for the remaining days used that. I also caught the bus to the seafront which was on the hotels recommendation. The hotel was great- quiet, clean and comfortable. I would stay again and recommend.
Stayed here three nights on Gate 1's Classic Tour of Portugal. The room was huge by European standards and the hotel was very clean. The included breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold selections that were above average (and exceptional when compared to an included breakfast at a hotel in the States). Beds and linens were quite comfy. A hot pot with instant coffee and tea is in the room. The supermarket is a 3 minute walk up the hill as is a pharmacy. The waterfront/downtown area is a short cab ride away. Our tour included a group dinner at this hotel and I have come to expect so-so food from these events. However, the dining room's cuisine was a cut above the norm. In fact, we were too tired to walk far for dinner two nights later and we ate here again. The grilled octopus was outstanding. All in all, a very good stay
A great welcome from a very charming gentleman when we arrived, plus a lovely glass of port upon arrival set the tone for a perfect stay. Our room was spacious, spotless and of a very high standard. The lovely staff provided us with a very sweet surprise on our wedding anniversary. Special thanks to the bar staff and the amazing lady managing the breakfast service - all offered the very highest standard of service. Out of the city centre equalled a quiet neighbourhood, though so close to transport you can be almost anywhere in the city for about a 7 Euro cab ride or a 40 minute walk and you are at the picturesque riverside.
