A lovely clean hotel and we had a very large amazing corner room on the 9th floor with fantastic views. Definitely 4 star if not more. Although it was a little far from the main city there were metros, buses and taxis nearby. Also if you are a tourist like us, the hop on and hop off bus will stop right outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of restaurants nearby for an evening meal without having to go to the old city again. I would recommend Imperator, a small and friendly little restaurant. Also there is a large shopping centre next door.

Went to Porto on a business trip and stayed in Fenix for one night. Unfortunately all went bad for a Hotel like this. On arrival my room was at 15 degrees, and with the air conditioning broken. After half an hour with a technician around it I was abel to worm a little bit. Nevertheless I was not hopping to spent the entire night awakened. From the noise of the air conditioning, being next door to the elevator hearing noise all night long with people getting in and out to the noise of the cars outside the window, I had a horrible night. In the morning to end even better, just spend more than 5 minutes waiting for the elevator to get down to the breakfast. Finally reaching there the room was so busy that was impossible to enjoying the morning coffee quietly. An experience not to repeat.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff. However, the hotel is a good bus or taxi ride away from the city centre, with buses from nearby the hotel running every 20 minutes or so. Facilities here limited - we had to ask for a kettle etc. in our room, which was, however, readily provided. Our room (for the two of us) had 3 single beds, thereby making the room very spacious, if a little chilly. Breakfast was good and plentiful. A problem that occurred was efficiently sorted and we were provided with a bottle of champagne and a tray of snacks to apologise for the hiccup. All in all a very good hotel, which I would recommend, if location wasn't an issue, but if I returned to Porto, I would seek a hotel nearer the city centre, or down by the water front.

Spent 10 nights in this lovely hotel in July 2017 well located near casa de musica (do Visit) metro station less than 10mins (walk ac cross big roundabout) stayed on 11th floor corner room with nice views off city below taxi to historic centre varied between 9 and 12 euro taxi rank across the road taxi to airport 25 euro rooms large and bright nice bar area outside with funky seating for night cap note bar closes at 12 midnight breakfast very good but can be busy but plenty of helpful staff to replenish items close to shopping centre which has plenty of snack bars, burger outlets and some restaurants nearby recommend the casa agricola ie when you arrive which is just behind the hotel and shopping centre but we mainly ate in the city centre staff very helpful especially in the restaurant large tv and nice bathroom

The high class hotel is close to the heart of Porto. A large shopping mall is next door with lots of low priced and good quality shops. The top floor has a very good food hall The hotel staff were more than helpful, and the hotel is very clean, modern and contemporary. The parking charges were a little high, considering we were paying guests. Very good breakfast available, hot and cold food. PLEASE change the toaster, it is terrible and takes ages just to make toast. Thanks for a great stay, if we return to Porto, we’ll stay here

Good points * rooms are spacious - we were on the third floor * breakfast was extensive and good. Coffee was not great if you were used to Starbucks but everything else was good * staff were helpful and friendly and mostly spoke English. The bar man (Bruno?) was great and paid special attention to his customers * bathroom had lots of room and room had full length mirror and lots of hanging space Could do better - but not bad * shower was abit poor in pressure - water was hot though. * no kettle, tea or coffee. They did give us a Kettle but we had to buy our own tea and coffee * no sofa/ comfy chairs. This may have just been our room but the table and dining chairs meant that we had to read and relax on our bed. * one day we got back about 4pm and found our room not cleaned. Their policy claims to be that the rooms are done by 5pm. But it’s not published clearly. They did however do our room when we went out to dinner. * there is no restaurant (apart from breakfast) - it’s in the sister hotel next door.

Spacious and clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly hotel staff. Needed a parking space for our rental car, which is why we booked this hotel. Enough places available but driving skills necessary in tight garage. Location is bit out of city centre but there in 10min with an Uber ride. Overall good experience!

The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. I would have liked to be closer to town and not have to take cabs each day. There were restaurants and a mall nearby. We had a very nice dinner one night by recommendation of the hotel - always appreciate that. Excellent breakfast at the hotel too.

We arrived eary and the very friendly staff offered a free breakfast which got the stay off to a super start. The hotel is well situated near lots of restuarants and shops and some attractsions abeit slightly away from the river area. The room was large, pretty quiet, very clean and well appointed. The buffet breakfast was well stocked and delicious. My only criticism was the fact that the foyer had blue lighting which was slightly dark. Would recommend and stay again without hesitation.

We stayed at the HF Fenix Porto for three nights in September. The hotel is nice, modern and clean. SERVICE: All staff at the reception desk and in the breakfast room were pleasant. The rooms were made up on time and kept clean. ROOMS: Very comfortable and spacious for European standards. LOCATION: Located in a nice, clean and safe neighborhood; beside a shopping mall, and a few blocks from the Metro Casa da Musica station. A taxi stand is in front of the hotel. As taxis were quite inexpensive, we often used these to get around. PARKING: Getting through the parking garage was a bit of a tight squeeze, considering that we rented a large vehicle for 4 persons with lots of luggage. I would return to this hotel when in Porto.
