Very nice staff. Room was VERY smelly with cleaning products. Smelled like there hasn't been fresh air in that building in years. Also the pool was too cold for even my kiddos to swim in :( Front desk staff was very nice, though.
Rooms are very large, well appointed and very clean. Parking is too limited.

Good value for the price. Only issue is that our room was facing the highway 95 so we could hear the cars. But still slept okay.
Found a cockroach on my pillow in the bed. Absolutely unacceptable
I would definitely come back again if only just to hang around in the hotel and look at the nearby shops
1 Night Stay. I was highly impressed. From great staff, clean hotel and super comfortable rooms , soft bed with nice linen to warm pool and hot tub. I highly recommend stay at this hotel if you are in the Scarborough ME area.
Friendly staff. Attentive to my needs. There was an issue with my first room. I went to the desk, told them the details. We were immediately apologized to and upgraded to a different room.

It was an amazing experience. To have a hotel that offers breakfast and dinner its a plus. Confortable rooms with amazing staff. My family couldn't ask for more.
Regarding my stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Scarborough: The Four Big Pluses: The staff was very courteous and attentive. The breakfast had a wide assortment of items to choose from with a comfortable atmosphere to dine. The hotel room (small suite) was nicely laid out and had all the amenities needed to stay a long weekend or several weeks at a time comfortably. Good location of hotel for my needs. The Two Big Minuses: The hallway had a consistent and strong burnt rubber smell. It was a very unpleasant odor but thankfully, the smell did not permeate into our room. Our room faced I95 and the traffic noise was a little loud and constant. I will consider staying there again but will request a room not facing the highway.
My room was on the 2nd floor, on the west side of the hotel (highway side), and there was quite a bit of truck noise especially beginning at 5 AM.
Stayed at this property to scout for summer rentals next year. The property was clean and quiet even though it was entirely booked.[...] were great hosts.Property sits next to I95. Road noise is noticible. I got a $129 rate[...] Otherwise the $179 rate is rather high.Breakfast was good but monotonous. How many days can you eat scrambled eggs?
We visited Portland, ME for a family member's 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration and stayed at the Residence Inn as they have suites and complimentary breakfasts. It was in a quiet location close to the shopping mall, and across the street from a major grocery store. Only a 5-10 minute drive to the airport... Portland, Saco... very convenient. The room had all the amenities, updated appliances and granite countertops, bed was comfortable, friendly (great) service, enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again if in the area. Could not be happier..
