new renovations, a pool, room service what not to love? its amazing a beautiful view and amazing rooms that look 5 star!!! so whenever you need somewhere to stay in port macquarie dont hesitate to book a room at sails resort or even a wedding venue...

Pulled in and my heart sank! Looked like the place was being demolished! Our room however was well away from the renovations which we didn't hear 2 steps from sliding door was the pool which was great size, relaxing chairs and lovely views of the river. Didn't eat there didn't look like many others did there is so much choice in town. About 10 min walk to town, good running paths all over port too. Will defiantly stay here again, the room was modern clean and very large

Had the best experience staying here! The bed is the most comfortable thing I've ever laid on! The customer service, to the view was just perfect. Can't wait to come back! Look at that view could it get much better!! 😍

We have stayed here regularly for 10 years. Absolutely beautiful resort, but when we booked this time, we were not aware of the renovations. Would not have stayed there if we knew extent of renovations. No restaurant open due to weather. Cheapest meal was 32.00 for fish and chips. 4.00 room service fee. Rooms are beautifully appointed, but not suitable for room service, nowhere to sit comfortably to eat. And most of the items in minibar had expired their useby date. My husband has been a member for years, never offered a discount or free upgrade

This motel is undergoing MAJOR renovations but the temporary arrangements are well thought out, well signposted and easily accessible. The reducing parking needs to be looked at however as arriving late I really had to pick the only park available near a storage container. There is no street parking option. The next morning I was partially parked in by a ute and had to do a million point turn to get out. Other then that minor incident it was a great stay. There are some great options for eating within a short walking distance.

You can't beat this location. It is beautiful. Overlooking the river and the boats and attractive landscaping especially around the pool area. I would have given this excellent but for the breakfast. The shower (rain head) was powerful and the room comfortable. There is an enormous re-construction going on which we were warned about. However, we had a very quiet room. Definitely recommend staying here but hope they can do better breakfasts as they are not cheap. The croissants were stale and there was no proper butter available. Little packs of marmalade etc. Could be more upmarket. Coffee wasn't nice either.

Stayed here for Business aware that there were still renovations but didn't realise the extent. Would have been better of at Rydges in Town. The make shift restaurant is freezing and there is no bar area for a pre dinner drink. Menu is very limited! I couldn't have the curry as it had chilli in it and they couldn't remove as it was Premade! As a Coeliac made it really difficult. The rooms are lovely but the ambiance with the on site works is not very nice. Both Check In & Out were very slow and each time there was an issue. As a Rydges Member was very disappointed and wouldn't return.

A big thank you to all the lovely staff who are struggling through renovations with a smile on their faces. Love the location! Beautifully appointed rooms! We have stayed before and will be back! We can't wait to see your beautiful new Resort Sails! 👍🏼

We stayed at Sails for 4 nights during the Ironman weekend, and for us it was conveniently located close to the transition area making my Sunday morning a little easier. The resort is being refubished, so there is construction happening during the day, but this is not something we really heard unless we were in the corridors during the day. The refurb has a little way to go, but the rooms that have been completed are quite spacious, functional and offer great views over the pool, river and or marina next door. We found the bed extremely comfortable, and about the only complaint I had is that the hot water doesnt get hot enough for me, but it is restricted to comply with the child safety requirements. We will stay again, as it was a 15min walk into the Town Centre, and with restaurants and shops close by it had all we needed.

Only stayed for 2 nights but was a nice experience . The room was fantastic , spacious and well appointed. We had a ground floor room which had great views over the gardens. There was some renovations happening which made parking challenging and the restaurant had relocated to a pavilion. Overall the experience was very good and would stay here again . It is located only a 3 minute drive from the city centre and well located on the river.
