great hotel for the price, fantastic view of the harbour try and book my twin room 804 however shower not very strong enjoyed the breakfast, hot and cold foods staff helpful. parked car under the hotel for 9euros a day
Nice room. Bed is comfortable. However, the breakfast is not good. Coffee, eggs, etc are cold. Apart from that, it is comfortable and friendly hotel. It is about 10 mins walk from centre. The room is decent size. It has free WiFi although the network is a bit slow. It has a bit sea view from the entrance of hotel.
Great location as you can walk to the center of the city, great view as you can see the harbour..the staff friendly and gentle..simple and very clean rooms with comfortable beds!! Very reasonable prices..i tottaly recommend it for every situation!
I stayed here in September and was pleasantly surprised. The views from Reception were lovely overlooking the bay. The room I had was basic but it was very cheap. The reception staff were friendly , helpful and spoke English. This was a real bonus as in this part of Spain its mostly Spanish thats spoken. The location was great. A bus ride from the beaches and a walk to the shops.
stayed here for a week in september.the staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us.the location has a lovely view over the bay.the local bus stop is only 2 minutes from the hotel.we really enjoyed our stay there.
I was booked in the hotel for business. The reception is very friendly, but the hotel is dated and needs a make-over. Carpets are worn, wear & tear is visible in the room and bathroom is 80's. However, rooms are clean, bed was big and good. Breakfast was including cheese & meet. Unfortunately it was very heary.
i enjoyed the stay at Hotel Mexico, but the breakfast could have more options, like laminated fresh fruit, more options of cheese like cottage cheese, for example. The room was very big, and the bathroom was nice, the architecture is a little bit antique, and the bathroom was nice. My mother's room was a little bit small with a big bed, so doesn't leave much space left, and the balcony needed some reform, it didn´t correspond to the rest of hotel and the view wasn´t so nice, i didn´t want to be in that room.
People in Galicia have the reputation of being friendly but the hotel staff went further than that: both the front desk and bar staff made me feel I had come to visit my family; so attentive, pleasant and helpful. My evening meals were giant and very tasty. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect such hospitality. The only suggestion to the manager: please consider having rust peeled off from the balcony bars as it spoils the overall fantastic impression:)
The location being a 15-20 walk from the old downtown is very good. We were located in the front and the harbour views were spectacular. The room itself seems to have recently been renovated and it was fairly spacious and clean, but there are some issues. The main entry door is not soundproof, so you hear everything from the hallway even normal conversation. The walls are not well insulated so they also let through a lot of sound if the neighbours are noisy, which we had on our last night. Also, for some reason they have not put a rubber strip on the shower glass partition which meant the floor was wet every time we took a shower. Parking is available but is small and tight especially if you have a bigger car. On the upside, the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful in recommending places to see and eat. The beds, linens and towels, etc. were good. Wifi worked fine, and was reasonably fast. The breakfast buffet is normal, not spectacular but good enough. So to summarize, if you like "peace and quiet" then this is probably not the right place especially in summer. Otherwise, it is not bad.
The hotel is in a great location, in the centre of vigo. The rooms are small but comfy and the wifi is one of the best that we have come across in Spanish hotels. There is also parking, but it's very tight, we struggled to get-out van in and out, nutrition is possible. There is a nice view from outside of the hotel, however my room didn't have this view which was a shame. Overall it's a nice hotel.
